I had the pleasure of attending a wedding at Belvedere Chateau, and let me tell you, it's easily the most stunning wedding venue I've ever seen. The place was immaculate, and you could tell it was meticulously maintained. While I'm not sure who handles the catering, if it's the venue or someone my hosts hired, the pastries and finger foods offered were absolutely divine and plentiful. I particularly loved the assortment of sweets and desserts laid out before the main meal. As someone with a serious sweet tooth, I indulged in quite a few treats. What I appreciated most was that everything was bite-sized, allowing guests to sample a little bit of everything without feeling guilty if they didn't like something. So if someone is reading this, get the pastry chef's number. After the sweet indulgence, the main courses were served. Starting with soup, followed by salad, and an array of main dishes served family-style. I enjoyed the family-style servings as it allowed me to taste a bit of everything. However, the protein portions were quite generous, and after all the sweets, I found myself quite full. While the main entree was good, I have to say the other dishes stole the show. Now, let's talk about the dance floor - it was massive! Having such a large dancing area was a refreshing change from many other weddings I've attended. What else is there to say? I feel like, for me, as a guest, I look for very few things when it comes to the wedding: the food and the venue. Beautiful venue, Martha was extremely polite and professional. BUT, talking to a Jessica (manager) made me feel uncomfortable. Her tone of voice felt as if she was talking down to us. She is unprofessional individual and one thing is no one should judge anyone. The moment i walked into the building she didn't greet me properly and stared at me up and down. As I was speaking to her, she kept cutting me off and raising her voice as she kept speaking to me. If I could write a 10-star review about Belvedere Chateau, I would. We booked our hall in 2017, with previous owners. I was a little concerned when I found out there would be new owners for our wedding on 9-14-19. I was so wrong. Ela and Bolek (the new owners) went above and BEYOND for our wedding. We had 900 guests and the plated service. The appetizers and desserts were flavorful and tasty. The "swedish table" had such an amazing variety of scrumptious foods to choose from that were all presented so beautifully (see picture). The dinner was served promptly at 8:30 PM. It was served HOT, the tomato soup was luscious, the steaks were tender and juicy, the double baked potato was creamy and packed full of flavor. The chicken was amazing, the pierogi were delicate and addicting! Needless to say, I have never eaten such a flavorsome and delectable meal at a banquet hall. It was so yummy. The planning process was so smooth. I worked very closely with Magda and she helped every step of the way. She was very calming and found solutions for every problem. She and Jadzia worked very closely with me in helping to set up the before the wedding and during the wedding, so that everything was organized and went according to plan. They passed out escort cards, organized the sweet tables, and helped guests to a flute of champagne from the champagne fountain. The staff and service on the wedding day were so helpful, diligent, and truly treated us like family. There was always sodas on the table, the food was served quickly, and clean-up after every meal was done swiftly. I truly am so appreciative for every single person at Belvedere for giving my husband and I the most amazing and perfect wedding. They went above and beyond with the service, the food, and the décor. My wife and I had our perfect wedding reception here on a Friday in 2014. We did our research before deciding on this place. We knew what we wanted and how many guests would actually attend. One of our friends had a very bad experience when she was booking here and passed on the venue (she might of had Magda). Our experience was much different. The woman who helped us was a very beautiful blonde with a modest demeanor. I can't recall her name but she saved us a lot of money with her recommendations. She saw we were trying to save cash so she threw in the chair covers and other things that she knew would make the evening memorable. After we booked, we were offered to stop on certain days for a tasting. My wife and I thought we could go multiple times but we were informed it was a one time deal. Still, they gave us another sampling. Per recommendation, we had a family style dinner and was pleasantly surprised that the food was delicious. I don't remember exactly what we ordered but we did have roast beef and some dumplings and zucchini. The desert table looked very elegant and plentiful. We also had some fruit delivered from Edible Arrangements because it was cheaper. At the end of the night, we received the remaining food and sweet table deserts in box containers. I was impressed and so glad they did that because we had so much family staying from out of town and the food was very good. Other people might have been offended, but we appreciated the gesture. Before we left, An older lady, I assume was the owner, gave us a bottle of wine. She was very pleasant and was helping the staff clean the hall. read more

I have been to many Polish weddings here (bridal and baby showers too) and each time I am blown away with how beautiful the brides have transformed the space into their own. This banquet hall can fit weddings of even 1000 people, which is hard to find. They can also break up the space to have up to 3 weddings at once I believe. The space is beautiful in itself, but the bride/groom's choices certainly do make a big difference. The people who go all out with fancy chair covers, drapery and lighting designers, a light up dance floor, over the top flower arrangements and massive sweet tables....obviously they have more of a wow factor when their guests come in. This place seems to be very willing to work with the newlyweds as well because i have seen everything from entertainment to a hotdog cart at midnight to like a cigar rolling station brought in for guests to enjoy. As much as the decor can vary based on whose wedding it is, so can the food. Some couples opt for a very basic family style dinner, some are a little more adventurous with their food choices. You typically get soup, salad, 3 entrees and 3 sides. Some couples opt for individual plates. And of course, just as the food can vary based on the couple's choices....I have noticed that consistency/service varies a bit based on the size of the wedding. Understandably so though, things can get a little hectic when you are trying to serve 1000 people vs 300. Either way, the food has never been a disaster, it's always pretty good. My wedding planning experience was pleasant with these folks. There could be a language barrier at times though as this place is owned by Polish people and primarily operated by them as well. In fact, when our wedding ended at midnight, I saw the owner roll up her sleeves with about 10 other employees and start moving tables and cleaning the room. I was dropping off a payment last summer and the owner had a box of ice cream bars (random, i know) but she saw me and handed me one and then walked away. It was kind of funny. The manager Kristina is very helpful, but steer clear of the skank Susanna, she was pretty useless and rude to myself, my husband and our families. Minus one star for her. Their prices are reasonable, the hall is beautiful. Lots of chandeliers. I did use a company though for some beautiful purple uplighting. The staff went above and beyond to please myself and my guests and the food was awesome. The sweet table was magnificent. People are still complimenting the food several months after the wedding. Recently had my wedding here in October and they did an amazing job with the entire wedding and process. All of the guests loved the food and the staff was very accommodating to various requests including vegetarians and bringing more of a specific item. The dumplings and pepper steak were so good! I would have kept eating more and more, but I was afraid that I would burst out of my wedding dress. The garden room is beautiful and spacious with an excellent layout. None of the guests felt like they were stuck in a corner and the dance floor is situated in the middle with a tree and lanterns which makes you feel like you are dancing in an outdoor garden. The lightning and décor are beautiful. There is plenty of parking for guests. I am extremely happy that I chose this venue for my wedding reception. Also, the sweets table is out of this world. Our experience surpassed our expectations. From the planning process, to the food tastings, to the final choices, to the party. Every single detail was attended to. Magda and Jadzia helped us so much with our planning and any questions we had. Every single time i went to the office, we went to the room and they explained an answer to any question. When we came to dropping off the items, they were organized, took notes, and placed items exactly how I wanted them. The head waitress came to me all night making sure things were right, and the wait staff did an amazing job getting the food out quickly! The whole party seemed to be eating at the same time. We had not only our Wedding reception but also our bridal shower here and it was exceptional from start to finish. They have surpassed our expectations in so many ways and if you have ever planned a wedding you know how stressful it can be. One thing we did not have to worry about was our venue, the food and drinks and also the dessert. The food was served at the time we requested and was so delicious! The hall itself is beautiful!!! It is kept up to date and the architecture of the building gives it such an elegant look, you honestly do not need much in decorations. Parking lot is such a great size too so no need to worry about that for your guests. The office was always reachable and so patient with us in wedding planning, picking out our menu and also designing our cake. They accommodated us in so many ways. SO SO worth it! We recently got married (August 2019) and had our reception at Belvedere. My sister also had her reception at Belvedere, but 5 years ago, and it has changed for the better! From the beginning to end, Jadzia's (office personnel/ event planner) commitment to us was evident. She made us feel comfortable, never pressured us to make decisions/ buy certain packages and provided us with tips we didn't even stop to think of! She was very knowledgeable and we are so happy she was a part of the planning process. We rented out the bigger hall and it was gorgeous. The hall was also recently renovated and you can tell!! The room looked bright, clean and elegant. The food was also a hit and our friends/ family let us know. Not only was it tasty but it was piping hot! This review is based on an initial consultation and visit to the facility. Belvedere would get zero stars from me if there were such an option. This review is way over due. We visited the venue in April 2014. We spoke with a woman who was very rude. She was mid to late 30s with blonde hair, and I wish I had her name. Anyway, my fiancé and I were asking questions about the venue in general. My fiancé is Polish-American and he asked if we could have the traditional Spyrytus (Polish vodka) served at the reception. The employee says, "why? Are you Polish? My fiancé replied "yes." She then says well are you going to have only Polish people at your wedding or American people too?" We asked "why does it matter?" She then said, "well Americans don't drink that and it will be a waste if you serve it at the wedding." First of all, what is it your business the race or ethnicity of our guests. This made me very uncomfortable. Secondly, it is our wedding, and if we choose to spend money on something, it is our decision. The best part was her showing us the large banquet room where we would potentially have the reception. The room is very nice with very large windows. However, when we walked near the bar area, there were about 6 large holes in the wall that needed patching and paint. We asked if that would be repaired by the time of the wedding. The woman replies, "I don't know." What!?! How could you not think to repair that as soon as possible? Even if she didn't know, she should not be telling customers that. Another downfall to this venue is that they do not provide a tasting until after the contract is signed. I am not going to sign a contract if I don't know how your food tastes. Belvedere looks like a beautiful venue on the outside, but looks are deceiving in this case. The customer service is a joke and the employee serving us was incredibly rude. Not sure if it was intentional rudeness or just plain ignorance on her part. Happy to say we found Ashton Place in Willowbrook which was a delight after this nightmare of a hall. read more

If i could give zero stars I would! i just created a Yelp just to write this review. Magda is the rudest employee that can work with weddings. i spent almost 20,000 just in the banquet hall and was not appreciated at all. as a new bride and one of the first in my family to get married i didn't know much about the weddings. i was asking for their opinion but magda and the team was not very helpful. in the end i realized that they were just trying to get more money. i had about 275 people RSVP and i mentioned that number to Magda and i asked her on average do all that RSVP actually come and she said "i don't know"then i asked her would she have extra food in case more people came then the final count i had given and she said "i cannot guarantee i will have extra food"so basically she wasn't trying to be helpful because she wanted to lock be down at 275 people so they can get more money , and in the end 230 people actually came, so i paid for 40 extra people. my cousin got married the following month at a banquet hall and when she booked they told her that about 10% of people who RSVP don't come. they also didn't charge her for the people that didn't come even though she committed. in addition, the banquet hall gave me the top layer of my wedding cake with out the cake topper and lost my cake topper. why would they even take off the cake topper?(also mine and my husbands wine glasses the bus boys took them) i called the banquet the next day after my wedding and they were so rude and said they can't find it. i asked them why did they take it off in the first place and they didn't say anything. i asked them to replace it for me and magda had attitude and passed the phone, and the other lady said she was going to ask the owner and then call me back.. she never called me back. with me spending 20,000(on a friday) the least they could have done was replace the 3 small things that were probably only worth at most 200 dollars. especially since i asked them too. there were so many other things that went wrong its just too much to write here. FIRST of all, who in the hell forces potential clients to sign a contract BEFORE tasting the food??? So, when I sign the contract, and the food turns out to be awful, I'm stuck in a contract? The employee's response: Our food is good, don't worry. Umm that's YOUR opinion! Out of all of the banquet halls I've contacted, this was a first. The employee then tells me that she's never heard of any facility that didn't make their clients sign a contract first before tasting their food. I beg to differ! I even offered to pay for the tasting, because I was under the impression that she was thinking that we were trying to get free food. The Belvedere Chateau delivered again. I was there for the New Years celebration (5th time). The ambiance, The food, and The Service was superb. I invited 40 guests to join me. I did not hear a single critique but compliments. One of my guests congratulated the owner on the quality of service, he said: Better then in the Ritz, much better than in the Ritz. I attended a wedding here in June 2016 and the dinner was disgusting. The main course was steak which was rubbery and not flavorful at all. The chicken was also questionable. Later in the evening pizza was served that was grossly under cooked. The crust was still raw. How do you screw up pizza? The servers missed giving 2 people at our table their food and some of the kids. We had to hunt down some servers to get them their plates. The kids had chicken fingers and fries which they didn't eat because it was tasteless. Needless to say, a couple people got sick from the food. If you're going to have a big wedding and need a cheap place, this would definitely fit the bill. It's very much your standard banquet style wedding with sub par food. I just celebrated my 20th year wedding anniversary and vowel renewal at the Belvedere on August 5, 2011, all I can say is the administrative staff and the wait staff were accomodating from the beginning to the end. The owner is a woman who makes sure everything is perfect from beginning to end. I was there Friday night for a company Christmas party. The food just OK taste wise and warm (not hot). The worse thing is by Sunday morning I was sick and vomiting! The person I was with felt sick within 60 minutes of dinner. Now 5 days later 12 others that attended that night also got sick. I was reading some past reviews that stated the same. My husband and I hosted our wedding here in June 2014, and we were so pleased with how everything turned out. My husband and I wanted to have a nice reception with good food and a great atmosphere, but we didn't have a massive budget for our 250+ guests. Not only did Belvedere Chateau offer really good pricing for things we might not have been able to afford at a different banquet hall (i.e. wine fountain, roasted pig, dessert table), but Madga and the other associate were really helpful as we sorted through all of the wedding details. In our three meetings before the wedding weekend, Madga and the other associate (a blonde lady) helped us customize the layout, food, atmosphere and timing to exactly what we wanted. The two ladies were full of ideas, and we really appreciated their flexibility and time. While there was a slight snafu on the day-of the wedding, Belvedere was also very nice about sorting it out with us afterwards. If you're a bride or groom who likes to be really hands-on and still have a nice, reception-hall banquet, I would really recommend Belvedere. Coming from Chicago, we didn't think we could have such a nice reception with our modest budget, but we were blown away by the tasty food, beautifully decorated room and attentive staff at Belvedere Chateau. read more

Went here for my wife's cousin's wedding. Having just gotten married a year and half ago (at a different location), we know all that goes into this. They had a cupcake tower at the entrance which was beautiful. I loved the lemon cupcakes, the carrotcake ones were okay. My wife loved the chocolate ones and red velvet. The food was ok, the soup was cream of chicken and it was very peppery. The salad was great, italian dressing was smooth. The dinner was grilled chicken and it was good, there were dumplings I didn't like, a bacon wrapped filet that was barely medium and the bacon was not crispy and roasted potatoes that was real good. Then there was ice cream for dessert that was brought out quickly after dinner and the staff wanted to grab our dishes right away didn't give us time to eat slowly. All in all it was okay. read more

Monday, January 9, 2017 This venue doesn't even deserve one star. As I write this review, it's to be noted that I've been in the wedding industry for 31 years as a well-respected vendor, so I'm completely familiar with all ends of how the planning works for events, including how to book halls/venues, vendors and more, in a efficient manner. As a favor for a friend who is planning a sweet 16 party for her daughter in August 2017, I decided to help her obtain information, as I would know the right approaches to use. Upon arriving at the venue and entering the office after being buzzed in, I said a friendly hello and smile to both female employees (in their 50s), of which only a simple hello was returned, no friendliness nor smiles. Not even 10 seconds after sitting down in the chair to ask questions, I was rudely interrupted by the woman taking my information, who was also sternly condescending and treated me as if I was stupid and didn't know what I was doing, which was very offensive. Not a good impression to start with, as a potential customer. Her initial questions consisted of asking me the date, month and year of the event to be planned and my reply was, "For this sweet 16 party, my friend is looking into August of this year, preferably Fridays...", and without having the chance to finish what I wanted to say (I was to add, "My friend is looking for any Friday in August, 2017), the woman was absolutely condescending in her approach to say "What day? I need the date!" . It was then, I told her "Any Friday will do.". She looked at her books with impatience, giving me the stern eyes over the old glasses and with an ugly disapproving frown (wow...), and proceeded to tell that she only had one Saturday open and no Sundays and slammed her books shut. I told her "I already said I was looking at Fridays, not Saturdays nor Sundays, so that won't be necessary to tell me Saturdays and Sundays". She proceeded to be more condescending in stating, "I just telling you so you know, because you need to know." My response, was. "I didn't ask for that, and no, I do not need to know, based on your presumptions. So, that was not necessary, at all, for you to give me that information when I didn't ask for it." Furthermore, as she explained how the packages were designed, there was this arrogance and impatience about her mannerism that really was very off-putting for a new client to deal with. Needless to say, I made my visit very short and simply just left without further words and throw away the folder she gave me in the nearby garbage . Both women in that office need to learn proper customer relations that includes patience, listening skills, courtesy and respect: I received none of that from the start. LISTEN TO WHAT THE CUSTOMER IS WANTING TO SAY, DO NOT ASSUME. If you both are tired of repeating the same speech to every client who walks into the establishment, then get a different job because the attitudes presented were very poor and offensive. No surprise that I will never recommend this place, ever. This is the WORST venue I have ever encountered, in my 31 years as a DJ. Unbeknownst to the woman, I was born with a 65% deaf disability, and her impatience to repeat herself, as I had trouble understanding her heavy European accent, (it was very difficult to have a decent conversation with her), her presumptious attitude assuming I was stupid, was beyond the worst human behavior I encountered in the industry and in life. CUSTOMERS: STAY AWAY FROM THIS VENUE AND LOOK FOR ANOTHER VENUE. My thoughts are, if they treat you poorly when you first meet them, then you can be assured that they will treat you poorly during the preplanning stages and the day of your event/wedding. Your day is supposed to be relaxing and fun, not worrying about dealing with a staff who hate their jobs. I relayed to my friend, that putting down a non-refundable deposit of $4,000 to a staff member there who treats you horribly, is not an idea of wasting money. We held our wedding reception at the Belvedere Chateau in the West Room and they did a phenomenal job! The staff was very attentive; the decorations were beautiful; and the displays for the desserts, appetizers, and chatka were amazing! Our guests had nothing but positive things to say...many said it was the best wedding they've ever been to. We worked with Jadwiga and she was very flexible and easy to work with; with any future events I would highly recommend working with her. Belvedere Chateau's prices were very reasonable compared to other banquet halls. We highly recommend the Belvedere Chateau for holding your wedding reception (or any other event). I've had many events for my ministry at the Belvedere since 2013. In the beginning, it was wonderful. This year however, things went downhill fast. I had a luncheon there in June and Magda put in the wrong order for the soup. Instead of cream of chicken with rice, they gave us cream of mushroom and no one ate it. I went to the office to speak to her about it and she literally argued me down instead of owning her mistake. When I called to speak to the owner, she was defensive until I told her about all of the people I recommended to her. She backed down then and apologized and stated that she would give us two fruit trays to make up for their mistake. I had another lunch there Saturday, August 20th. They didn't have the podium on the floor nor did they have the flowers on the table as requested. The owner only had 2 people working Saturday for the luncheon so none of the food came out on time. After everyone finished their soup, they had to wait for the salad to come and then another wait for the food to come. I asked that the fruit trays be set on the head table and Table 1. I looked for the fruit tray for Table 1 and they had set it on Table 9. I took it off of Table 9 and put it on the correct table. In addition to all of that, I ordered rainbow sherbert for dessert. They gave us vanilla ice cream. Really????? When I spoke to the young guy and told him that I ordered rainbow sherbert, he said, "we ran out of sherbert". I was like, that's it. We will not be hosting any more events here. The food used to be good but now its terrible. The owner is clearly more interested in money than accommodating her guests. NEVER AGAIN!!!!! read more
