From the doggie's perspective, candy cannon can be seen in the distance.

Such a fun place to visit! They have exciting events for kids like pig races that are sure to make you smile. There's a candy cannon that shoots out treats and fireworks creating a perfect ending to a delightful day. The 5-cheese sandwich is delicious, and the staff is friendly. It's a fantastic spot for families and anyone looking for a good time!

Me and my friends and I had such a great time here! It's a great place for some simple fall fun with your family or friends. It's very kid friendly too! We did a lot of activities like painting pumpkins, picking flowers, paintball shooting, a hay ride to the pumpkin patch, and the corn maze. The corn maze felt like a hike, lol. I wish I would have worn more comfortable shoes. But we had a good time! For the pumpkin patch, it was a carry as many as you can for a certain price. It was fun to see how many we could carry out of there. We had a great time, we want to visit every year.

My family and I love visiting a good farm in the fall with the kiddies and usually trek to our favorite (Cox Farm) in Centerville, VA. This year we relocated to Stafford, VA and found Belvedere plantation, Sneads Farm and Brades Farm. I hesitantly decided to try Belvedere in Fredericksburg, VA hoping it would be at least half as nice as Cox. The price was a little steep, but Belvedere exceeded my expectations. The activities were great for our 3 year old and two 8 year old girls. Some of the activities included: 1. Pig race 2. Zip lines (toddlers & older kids) 3. Pumpkin painting 4. Animal feeding & Petting 5. A variety of Slides 6. Corn play area and sand area 7. Foam gun area 8. Kids Tractors/bike go kart ish activities 9. Bounce pad 10. Sunflower and wild flower picking 11. Hay Ride to pick and cut pumpkins 12. Fire pit areas to make a fire and sit and chill The treats were delicious but beware of the bees. Most combos were between $8-$15 and included fries and drink. 1. Salmon sandwich 2. Cheese burgers 3. Pizza 4. Chicken tenders 5. Funnel cake 6. Frozen apple cider and apple cider swirl (has soft served mixed in and a apple cider donut. No picture because I was swatting bees. They also had a bakery with gourmet cookies, fudge and other treats like kettle corn, apple cider, jams, candies and much more. Again overall everything was pretty nice. 1. Wasn't too crowded 2. Free ample parking 3. Friendly staff 4. Very clean bathrooms 5. Hand washing station outside bathroom and petting areas with plenty of soap 6. Covered and uncovered eating areas The only down side is that it is a little expensive as we went during a holiday weekend. The kids and adults had a great time! Glad we gave it a try. It was nice enough that we got the season pass and decided to skip Cox farm this year. The value was better for a family of 4 to get a season pass.

There was just so much to due I'm not sure how you are suppose to due it all in one day. They have weekend hours were they are open longer but durning the week they aren't open very late. We arrived when they opened stayed til they closed and still didn't get a chance to due everything. Everyone was friendly and kind minus one older lady to the front that was rude when we asked about the hay ride everything was great. However were not going to let one bad apple destroy the bunch. I wish there were more water locations around the farm even if i had to pay for a bottle. At one point i was so thirsty i just decided to fill up my bottle with a nearby hose. The prices online are listed individually however, once you arrive, you pay one flat rate for the adults at the front, and the only thing that cost extra while we were, there was an additional colorful slide. Overall, it was a great experience. I look forward to going back.

The kids and I had such a great time! Very huge plantation with lots of activities including a little farm with animals. The staff is friendly. Due to COVID-19 you want to reserve online. No cash is accepted. It was such an awesome day trip. I had posted our trip on FACEBOOK and that same weekend bunch of friends with their families ended going. Loved it!

At the end of an amazing day

We had the most amazing family day at Belvedere Plantation. I highly recommend your taking a visit this fall. The kids had a blast. There is So much to do. We were there for 5 hours and enjoyed every moment. The apple cider donuts are absolutely delicious too.

Yaay - Pumpkin Patch! I took my four-year-old here on a weekday and he had a blast. The admission is reduced on weekdays but take note - they don't offer the full complement of rides and entertainment on those days. But there was still plenty to do and lots of fun for everyone of all ages. The pumpkin patch itself is one of the largest I've seen and there is plenty of perfect shaped pumpkins for all. In order to get to the patch itself, you must take a 10 minute hay ride to the location and the kids love the bumpy ride over the Belvedere farm. In addition to the patch, you have all sorts of neat rides and attractions - large slides, a pillow bounce (uncovered moon bounce), a barn rope, bean horse races, tractor carts. They also have farm animals like chickens, turkeys, sheep and pigs - and the kids can feed the goats from their hands. There's pig races in the back where kids can participate and win prizes. In addition to all the fun, you have a country store selling traditional farm goods like apple cider, preserves, kettle corn and frozen do-it-yourself pies. Belvedere Plantation is a great spot to take the kids and the weekends are maximum fun. I highly recommend for people who live in and around Fredericksburg, and it makes a great alternative to Cox Farms for those of us in Northern Virginia.

July 25-August 3, 2025…read more Founded in 1738, Fredericksburg Agricultural Fair is the oldest Fair in the United States. There is a little something for everyone: VENDORS- farming equipment, chicken coops, sheds, various home repair products CARNIVAL SECTION- we did not venture into this area, lots of carnival rides and carnival food! POULTRY- the chickens were staged in one of the air conditioned buildings. Ducks , geese and rabbit breeds were also staged there. COWS/SHEEP- We're staged in another area PAVILION- covered area with chairs to watch the various types of entertainment CRAFTS/VEGETABLES/FLOWER ARRANGEMENT/ BAKING CONTESTS: Amateurs can enter their homemade products. This is a well thought out venue. If you enjoy this kind of thing, you'll love it. We went when it opened which was 1 pm and walked through what we had planned to do in about 2-2.5 hrs. We watched some bluegrass dancers under the covered pavilion. This is probably the only area that you can bring your food to eat as there isn't a designated area . Stay hydrated. The weather was HOT & HUMID. If you have elderly or very young children, you may want to come towards the early evening or late afternoon. PRICE: Fairs cost money to produce. Operational costs are a byproduct of that. When things like insurance go up, entrance fees etc goes up. The challenge will always be costs and making it affordable for families.

Prices on ride tickets and food were a little too high ($6 for swings which went around about 6…read moretimes), but typical for this type of event. Good music, decent food, lots to see.
