As she prepped for the piercing, I tried to distract myself by asking her about her favorite ice cream flavor. Spoiler alert: it's mint chocolate chip. Who knew that discussing ice cream could be part of a piercing experience? But honestly, it worked! I was so busy contemplating the merits of minty goodness that I almost forgot I was about to get pierced. When the moment finally came, Aziza was as professional as a surgeon but with the charm of a stand-up comedian. She counted down like a NASA launch: "Three... two... one..." and then--BAM! It was done! I barely felt a thing. I think I might have even let out a tiny squeak, but I'm pretty sure it was just my inner mouse escaping. Afterward, she gave me all the aftercare instructions, and I left the studio feeling like a million bucks--albeit a million bucks with a new shiny accessory. A great team with amazing customer service and winning attitudes. What more could you ask for? The owner Tricia helped with every aspect of my tattoo and made it an overall wonderful experience. The entire crew made me feel like family and you can tell they have great chemistry together. This is not your ordinary "biker bar" tattoo shop, where a bunch of Neanderthals look at you funny for having any sort of questions or not traditional ideas. All while taking 15 smoke breaks as your getting tattooed, then stand outside to talk crap about everyone and everything. All while cursing like sailors and showing their lack of intellect. I saw the "Best in the Burg" sign out front and decided to stop by. Best decision ever!!! Needless to say it will be my go to shop for tattoos, piercings, and art from now on. Today I had a 3rd lobe piercing done on both ears by Aziza. I haven't had any piercings done in about 15 years so I was a little anxious. Aziza was so kind, funny and very easy to talk to. She explained every single step of what she was doing, which I loved and find incredibly helpful. The piercings themselves were very quick and smooth, and I got to pick which earrings I wanted. They had several to choose from in all styles, I chose the sparkly teardrop shape to coordinate with what I normally wear. She gave me all of the aftercare instructions and an instruction pamphlet to take home. She wrote down the info about my individual piercing, the gauge size and length so I had all of the info I could need.
