This place has so many awesome options on their menu. All kinds of breakfast meals that I definitely want to try by visiting again. I tried the Vegetarian skillet and asked for avocados to be added. I really love how the pan comes with padded silicone material around it so that you can't accidentally burn yourself by touching the hot surface of it. The proportions are generous! Everything was delicious, from the cheesy vegetables to the cubed potatoes! The ice tea they had was sadly canned but everything else is fantastic. My date liked his Bagel BLT as well. Bonjour tout le monde ! This place was pretty decent, nothing to write home about. The food was very average, basically Perkins or Denny's status. They also have vegan options. Also, the service was about 5/10, thé lady forgot about us and served two others who came in after our group of six. The restaurant seemed a little small, with seating super close together. Also, there was like ZERO parking outside, and I mean ZERO! Other than that, I recommend this place of you have kids with and if you're just hungry and not looking for quality. This is an good'ole classic breakfast that you can't go wrong with for roughly $20 each plate with all the nutrients to get you started for the day! Back again. Tried something new the "Healthy Duo - 12.95$".OMG good/great. Smoothie was sweet - if your not trying KETO then you will love it. I ate the blueberries and nuts and then sent it away - otherwise I would have eaten it. Poached soft eggs were perfect (little cooler than HOT - but very good,), the brie cheese - multiple choices I like brie, guacamole and fresh spinach (not cooked) on a toasted 12 grain bread OMG / yes I ate the toast YUMMY. Ben & Florentine is a new breakfast/lunch chain that recently opened up at Scurfield & Kenaston. It's nice to have more brunch places than Stella's, Cora's, Perkins and Pancake House. This place closes at 3 pm daily but you can have breakfast throughout their hours of operation. They have smoothies, eggs benedicts, crepes, pancakes, waffles, omlettes, breafast and lunch sandwiches, skillets, burgers, poutines, salads and a kids menu for 10 and under. There's even an early bird menu M-F before 830 am. Most breakfast dishes were between $9-$12. I had the "ten on ten" eggs which comes with their famous home fries, apple sauce and toast plus 2 eggs, bacon, ham, sausages, cretons and baked beans with a choice wafflle, french toast, pancake or plain crepe. I have to say that in my review of the menu items for this review, I realize now that I never received the baked beans. Anyhow, it's a dish of food. The home fries are very well seasoned, almost bordering on a tad salty but still good in small portions. Over easy eggs were cooked properly, no complaints on various pork products. The creton is a Quebec pork spread that's similar to pate - it was fine and likely laced with a ton of fat! The waffle was a highlight. Overall everything was as expected in a dish like that - presentation could be better. Their famous benedicts were fine as well. Tried the lox - Smoked salmon, red onions, chives, cream cheese and Hollandaise sauce with homefries, apple sauce and toast. The Hollandaise sauce was good. The breakfast items here are average, nothing stands out and nothing is offensive. A decent casual place that's suitable for most people to dine at. One thing I will warn you is that it gets hot in the restaurant due to its southern exposure. We had to move from our first table because the top window near the roof had no window treatments and was shining on us (on a cold winter day) like a laserbeam. I would also stay away from a window seat on a sunny day as they invested in pretty cheap window treatments which do not completely block the sun/heat. It's funny how they some windows had window treatments and some did not. It's not like the sun doesn't shine through one versus the next one. read more

First time here and definitely will be back! The menu has way more breakfast options than anywhere else, and so many different items you wouldn't normally see. The prices are reasonable- my breakfast was $13 with 2 eggs,bacon,2sausages,breakfast potatoes,toast and half a belgian waffle with almonds and drizzled chocolate sauce....mmmmmmmm it was delicious and the portions are good as well! I've been wanting to try Ben & Florentine for quite sometime, and I'm super happy that I finally tried it today. I got the breakfast melt, it has eggs, Swiss cheese, roasted red pepper, chorizo and so much guacamole. It was really flavourful and very filling, it was pretty messy and hard to eat but the flavour made up for it. I also got the summer delight smoothie the taste was solid, but the texture was kinda grain. My sandwich came with fresh fruit and home fries, both where very good. The service was really fast, our food came in about 10 minutes, even though it was was really busy. Also the pricing was good for the amount of food you got, mine was about $15 and I took leftovers home. Overall I was very satisfied, and I would love to go back sometime soon. read more

Ben and Florentine Restaurant was busy and a good size for how busy it seemed and great for them. Kristine our server. She was supper friendly and attentive our table and not only us but every table around us. It's cheesy to say but her smile radiates the whole room and can start a guests' day on the right note. The menu is LARGE, wow sooo many options to choose from and that makes it good for large groups of people. If your getting a specialty coffee; get the bowl size. It's defiantly worth it and we didn't end up needing a refill of regular coffee, which our server was gonna do at no extra cost and that was just lovely. read more

SERVERS MESSED UP Busy and noisy on a Saturday morning. Our service was poor. I waited 15 minutes for them to come check my coffee and I flagged someone to bring me some more. Had to steal creamers off a table waiting to be bussed. Had to ask for sweetener. Service was slow, they didn't bring our starter item for 25 minutes. Another thing I don't like they delivered our food to another table then brought it to us (why do restaurants have runners bring food? I hate when i have to direct who had what they should know that!). My "10 on 10" dish had a big black hair on it, which I picked off. Our neighbour asked for Benedict done soft but they came hard, then she found chunks of eggshells and had to send it back. Her boyfriend had someone try to take his plate and he waved them off, and another person tried a few seconds later. They were totally put off. He even said "What the fock?" Despite all this negative stuff the food was tasty and big portions. Price was high $60 for two. We won't be going back. read more

Delicious and savory is the name of the game at Ben & Florentine's. The restaurant itself is bright and colourful and the staff are attentive and friendly. The food is absolutely wonderful. The savory breakfast dishes are quite possibly my favourite anywhere and the sweet ones are good too. Of course the eggs benedict stand out, particularly the steak and cheese benny's. The skillets are also great and everyone I've gone with has loved what they've had too! I would definitely recommend multiple visits in order to try many of the excellent dishes at this fabulous brunch restaurant! read more

Ben and Florentine is an excellent place for brunch! They have excellent smoothies and a wide selection of healthy food! At my latest visit, we ordered the Apple and Cheddar Crêpe (caramelized apples, cheddar, almonds, caramel and whipped cream) and the Avocado Lox (eggs, guacamole, smoked salmon, capers, red onions on a 12-grain bread with fruit). We were very pleased with the healthy selection on the menu! The smoked salmon on the Avocado Lox was exceptionally fresh and the crepe was delicious. This place is typically very busy especially over the weekends. However, it is quite well staffed so even if your server is too busy to serve you, there's always someone else who is more than happy to take care of your table. The servers are friendly and the service is much better at Ben and Florentine than at Cora's. Overall, I would highly recommend Ben and Florentine! read more

They didn't ask for immunization right away. My mom waited at the door for a while after they seated me, and it wasn't until she joined me at the table 10 mins later that they asked for it. And we waited another half hour to get our orders taken. They don't cook baisted eggs because they said it's takes up too much space to cook it on their grill. They also told me I can't order two meals and put them together because they don't do that. read more

I really want to know where other Winnipeg locals have gone for breakfast because this was the best breakfast food I've ever had. To be fair, food I've had in Canada about 90% of the time is better than 90% of food I've had elsewhere, so, if you're not from Canada I think it's very safe to say this will be a fantastic breakfast from your perspective. First time experience was great! Big and spacious, wait wasn't too long considering it was peak Brunch time when I went. The food selection was almost endless. I had a hard time deciding what to get because the menu was so extensive. They had everything - literally, you name it, they probably have it. I had the Chorizo eggs benny and it was delicious! I love eggs, so I liked that they asked how you wanted your eggs done (soft, medium and hard). I also had the summer delight which tasted a lot like the "Go Green" smoothie from Stellas. I'll start off with I have had the most amazing service here, and great food. The last time not so much. And I definitely won't be back. My friend and I had decided to pop in for a quick bite, she had never been and I raved about how good it was. When we first walked in it took about 5 minutes to be greeted, and there was maybe 3 tables of guests. After we were seated it took another 10 minutes for our waitress to come by and get our drink order. By then we were ready to order our meals. Our waitress took our drink orders and walked off before we could order our food. She finally came back to take our order, our food came fast. But it was not at all what we had ordered. We ordered sriracha egg Benedict on a bagel. It came on a english muffin, missing all the toppings except the hollandaise sauce. Our waitress was quick to replace our orders and apologized because the person preparing our food was new. And I completely understand. But our food comes out again, eggs are overcooked, and everything is cold except for the hash browns. Our waitress apologized and said she would talk to her manager. We didn't hear from the manager, paid full price for our terrible service and left. 10/10 would NEVER recommend! read more

If it were just the home fries at breakfast, they would get a 6 star rating; however when one factors in the inefficient service, absolutely cold hollandaise sauce on the Eggs Lox Benedict, and the endless search for actual meat in the 3 Meat Skillet, a 2 star rating is generous. The folks are friendly when you can get someone to stop long enough to share something, but given that it was 9:30 on a Saturday morning and they were not really busy yet, I was surprised at the ineffectiveness of the overall experience. Our reservation worked out well and we got our table on-time. The initial greeting was okay but it seemed to take forever to get to place our orders as well as get the first cup of coffee. We were told the delay was the wait for a fresh pot, which sounds great. It sounds even better when they get back to you in under 5-7 minutes. As I said, the home fries are great. The Lox Salmon was a bust due to the cold hollandaise. What I found surprising is that when the replacement dish finally showed up (after just about everyone else had finished their meals) no one checked back to ensure the second attempt was okay. The 3 meat skillet had the odd sliver of what I guess was bacon, and a few micro-chips of ham. I would not have believed someone could dice the ham that small. The toast was okay. The eggs were generally cooked on point although to charge a dollar to get an extra egg on the skillets strikes me as a petty rip off. There were several people wandering around topping up coffees, but if you are sitting on the inside seats of a booth, one needs a sign or a signal flare to get them to top up your CUP. Over priced, under serviced and some weak food dishes but great home fries. Not sure if that is enough to get us to go back. read more

Regent Store.Today Dec 7 was my fourth visit. Usually come on a Sunday and it is usually very busy. Food is always excellent, but the service has declined on every visit. Today was ridiculous. Store was about 1/3 full and it took ten minutes to get seated. No host. When we were seated another ten minutes and no service, got up and left. Perfect lesson on how to screw up a business. Train your people!!!! Won't be back until you can assure me of better service. Went over to the Sals which was packed and our coffee was there about two minutes after we sat down, great service and good food. read more

I went with my dad and small son (aged 2). the place is BIG so getting a seat for brunch on a Sunday wasn't hard. Overall, I thought portions were generous, some of the best fried potatoes I have ever had, and lots to choose from! I ordered the omelette which was just ok (a little bland).
