This beautifully and lovingly restored historic building draws the crowds, as it should. If someone was smart, they'd be opening up a witches brew cafe next door. I felt like every little detail was so thoughtfully executed, that other shop keepers could really learn from this place. Strap in, I have a lot to say! Everyone who has seen photos gets that it's a place with tarot cards, books, and things you find at the intersection of Goth, steam punk, Wicca, Occult, faeries, magic, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Medieval, and magic +++. But it is so much more. The space itself encompasses what they are selling: otherworldly magic. Transporting you to an alternate place and providing you with an all-encompassing, sensory experience. Staff is all dressed the part, and helpful, handing out little tags with talismans in exchange for your overburdened arms, as you have collected various bits of their merch. Trinkets and delights abound throughout, and their library of books is impressive. I mean into the nitty gritty of anything remotely related to the aforementioned above. Displays are engaging, and you find yourself constantly "oohing" and "ahhhhing" and beckoning companions to check out your latest discovery. Staff is so warm and welcoming, and happy to talk you through the merits of your choices. The rescued shelving, wood work, and architectural details of the place are jaw dropping. And at check out, each thing is lovingly wrapped, and packaged like they might have done in the most upscale shop in a cosmopolitan city in Victorian times. Honestly, I can't even capture how amazing the place was, but if you are anywhere near Cincy, do not miss rising this special shop. What I left with was 2 teachers gifts and a bunch of stuff for me! Meghan, the owner, was there when I walked in and she walked me through her whole store. She had so much personal knowledge about all of her products. I had a difficult time choosing because I wanted everything! I really appreciated the reasonable price range for a boutique! Meghan hand makes Anthropology's famous Volcano candles in a variety of adorable containers, at a fraction of the cost! Most importantly, Meghan uses her shop to help our community. She does sip'n shops for our schools, where a portion of the sales for that day are donated to the school. On small business Saturday, a portion of the sales are donated to a local food pantry. Businesses who help our community will always earn my loyalty. To sum up- it's the perfect spot for one-stop gift shopping! (Card and wrapping paper/bags available too!)

Each artist has a shelf or a little area inside the store. There were some beautiful bird baths and garden stuff. My favorite section of the store is the bookshelf in the back on the left that contains those Arcadia history books. Each one is about a certain piece of Cincinnati's history. Some talk about immigrants, others about neighborhoods, and some about families and companies that have flourished here. I like looking through these books as they are fascinating! I ended up purchasing an "I love OTR" sticker for $2 and am very happy and proud to finally own one. The owner is super sweet and is open most of the time but will open up shop if you have the shop's card and will come down and open it up for you!

The first time we visited, the husband was looking for a specific Christian Moerlein beer poster, and the woman working the register was very nice about trying to help us find it. He settled for a different one, but as we walked back down the street, she had found it and even came out calling for us to see if he wanted to swap. So nice! The owner apparently is open to taking calls if you need her to open up shop for something when they are closed. This is a great store to browse on a lazy OTR walking day, or if you are looking for some interesting gifts or jewelry off the beaten path.
