You play 3, 4 or 5 on a team and then it's standard soccer on a smaller field. Run around, knock people over and kick the ball into the goals. They're punctual, friendly, informative, incredibly fun and yeah, you will need to sign a waver because this game is not for the faint of heart and claustrophobes should probably sit it out. So what's it about? The pictures provide decent context, but as a participant, you'll begin by squeezing your torso into a giant plastic orb which straps you in by the shoulders, and you'll grip some handles. The view is exactly what you'd imagine, sort of mottled and trippy (you're staring through a couple layers of lining). After teams have been divvied the 10 minute game is on, and believe me, that's all you'll need for a workout that blends something reminiscent of Jackie Chan's Drunken Master with adolescent futbol, harmless Gladiator glee and an accidental goal or two. Prepare to breathe deeply and take a breather, and if you're a hot-blooded midwestern transplant like me, that cocoon will get sweat-soaked. It's cool, though. The vessels are cleaned between matches. A fantastic team-building exercise, this is perfect for corporate events, birthday parties, ex-lover angst expulsion or silly Yelp gatherings, you can't go wrong with this non-blood sport. This park is just south of the main balloon park so if the wind is right, you get quite a show without the huge crowd. We like to bring chairs and blankets and watch the balloons sail over. Often times the balloons will land in the park, and you can get close to them. The kids enjoy collecting cards from the balloonists once they safely land. There is also a big playground here for the kids, and port o potties.

Decent basketball court. Nice area for a soccer or wiffleball game. A xeriscape demonstration area. You'll see a lot of people walking their dogs - pretty much always. They aren't supposed to be off-leash, but you will generally see a few that are - and their owners are generally on top of them. Not a grim amount of dog "dirt" left behind - lots of bags and receptacles provided, and they're generally used. You'll see lot of tennis and pickleball. Sometimes there are swarms of kids; sometimes just a few; sometimes none. The park is pretty and is well maintained by CABQ. If you're looking for a calm place to have a coffee or a picnic lunch, give it consideration.

There is a shaded picnic area, and a grassy area with a few mature trees. There is also a small amount of parking, so if you wanted to park here and utilize the bike path on Tramway that would be a possibility. Another cool feature of this park is that it has a few adult pieces of exercise equipment. There is a place for tricep dips and pull-ups, a bench for situps and a chest press. I would feel comfortable coming here without my niece to use the equipment or have a picnic.
