Imagine paying $3800 10 months ago and promised X Y Z....having my maid of honour fly from Toronto for this experience. 6 weeks before your wedding you are told there is no dress. She wasn't able to tell me where my dress was, when it was sent to manufacture, no tracking on my gown. She could not tell me who was answering my text messages her or the assistant, the first of June when I kept messaging to inquire. That is what I experienced when I have tried in vain since February to get my mock up and dress in time for Aug 4th. No communication, no returned emails, no returned phone calls, no reassurance that the dream 1930's inspired wedding dress to go with our 1930's inspired wedding. No remorse from the owner...zero empathy. Good luck getting a refund....she had no intentions of providing the refund. She has no issues blaming all ongoing problems she has suffered on her assistant who no longer works there & personal issues she is suffering from. My fiancé and I had to literally chase her....source her private phone.....and force a refund from her via EMT as she never processed the one to our credit card. (Which she claimed to do infront of us) We were sent a portion one day via EMT and still had go back and source the rest the refund. Calling her - to get a response for the rest on our money. We then had to purchase another dress equivalent to the cost of the 1st dress, and pay in full for an off the rack dress. I am still upset as the new dress is not my custom made gown I dreamed of. We are 4 weeks from our wedding and she could not put herself in our shoes...it was all about her. I don't love the dress I had to purchase, I feel my experience is now jaded and I don't feel the same about the dress I had to buy. Novia Mia is different than the other stores - they make the dress TO your measurements. They don't order a size X and then alter it. I bought a dress there and they ended up making two HUGE alterations into the way it was made, which other stores didn't even mention they could do. I'm 5'2" or 5'3" and really needed some of these things done. I'll tell you - if I'm paying $1100 for a dress, I'm going to be darn happy with it. She has a bunch of dresses in store for you to try on. When you select one, she asks if you want it changed in any way, and also shows you what you can do with it. You can also take her a photo of a dress you like and they'll make it for you for a reasonable price. I highly suggest stopping here in your search for a wedding gown or bridesmaid dresses.

When we arrived the 3 associates working were sitting behind the desk chatting while one wedding gown appointment was in the process. We were directed to the back to look through dresses and were told we could use the changing spaces available. For 50 minutes we looked through, trying on dresses, and having questions but no one came back to check on us to see if we perhaps needed a hand. Then one of the associates came to tell us they had two more appointments and we needed to leave basically. That was fine but we really wanted one of the dresses, and it had zero information attached. No tag, no price, nothing. I asked if we could have the information and was told they didn't have time to give it to me. I asked if they had an idea on the price of the dress and was told no, they would take my name and number and call me once they were finished with appointments. Had one of them come back while we were trying dresses this could have been avoided but instead we were completely snubbed. 2 1/2 hours later while I was driving home I miss their call and they didn't even have the decency to leave a voicemail with the details? So I pull over and call back and no answer. What a headache and waste of time.

The experience was okay, but there are a few things to know when visiting Ever After. You can only enter the parking lot by driving east bound on 16th Avenue. Not a big deal, but it could be a hassle for someone who doesn't know where they're going. The shop itself is small and very full of dresses. There really isn't room to lounge around or casually browse with your friends while the bride-to-be tries on gowns, especially if there's more than one woman on a mission. Some of us sat on the floor. I only noticed two change rooms and one large mirror, so it could get crowded fast. If you do end up here with more than two people, you'd better hope not many more show up to shop. All in all, not a bad experience. First time was to alter a bridesmaid dress I bought online for a friend's wedding in 2009. Their seamstress does an amazing job. Second time, myself and another girl was bridesmaid to my sister's wedding and we ordered the Alfred Angelo bridesmaid dresses. For the third time, it was for my own wedding. The lady there has a pretty good eye and I fit perfectly into a Venus bridal gown that she pulled off the rack. I just bought the dress and got it shortened and took it to Hawaii. Parking is a bit quirky here.

Walked in to such a welcoming atmosphere, and ALL of the ladies there were phenomenal! They were so friendly, and helpful, they put up with me having no clue on what I wanted. They even helped pin a skirt on the dress so I can see it look a little different, and not fall so flat. They all joined in and helped, made it the most wonderful experience! I would highly recommend going there to everyone. They make you feel like it's all about you, which is the way it should. I left feeling like I had known them forever, and I can't wait to see them again. Take a little drive to see them, you won't regret it.

We ordered dresses for my cousins wedding in January and were told that was plenty of time for them to come in. The dresses were supposed to be here over a month ago and we keep getting the run around; a new story every time we call. To top it all off, not one employee of this store has been sympathetic or helpful. This is a horrible way to establish a business in a small town. I highly recommend not bothering with this business unless you don't care about when your dress arrives.

We got our own section with chairs and mirrors to watch the dress reveals. The bride tried on a total of 10 dresses and the salesgirl helping us was very friendly and not pushy at all. I would definitely recommend this store. It was the positive experience I've had at a bridal store. They have a huge selection of wedding gowns, evening dresses, wedding veils and jewelry.
