Went in on a Monday to replace a new watch pin and to engrave my wedding band. "No problem" they…read moresay. $15 for the watch and $20 for engraving. I write down what I want engraved and they tell me it'll be ready for tomorrow (Tuesday). Arrive Tuesday afternoon and the watch is done but the engraving isn't ready. Ok, pretty inconvenient since I live in the South end but I'll go kill an hour so they can finish the job. Come back to pick up the ring and they have engraved the wrong date! They'll fix it but you'll have to come back tomorrow. Wednesday, third trip back to Imperial Fine Jewelers to pick up a botched engraving job on my wedding band. I walk in and the staff makes jokes that it isn't ready. Ha ha! Not funny. I look at the ring and the engraving is correct but now it's crooked and completely off center! I point it out to staff and they say I'm wrong and run off to another counter. By this time, I just want my ring back and to get out of there. He tells me that engraving is usually $70 and he'll give me a great deal of &45+tax for everything even though I was initially told $35 on Monday. Avoid this place! Shady dealings, poor craftsmanship, and obviously zero customer service skills.

She had us sit down at luxurious seating to peruse the watch catalogues. Watches here range between $3000 and up and the one we did see that we liked was $8000. Unfortunately even with the Swiss components and obviously well made quality I wasn't very pleased with the design. I guess Hermes' take on watches these season is to mix up the sizes of the numerical values, if you like 6 pm as a time it is larger in size than 9 am when you start working, or some numbers were literally omitted on the clock face. Another style was some of the numbers were placed out of balance, some sort of looked like they were falling. I just couldn't get over spending $8000 on a watch for my brother and having him feel perplexed over what time it was. That being said about the watch department, let me tell you how beautiful the store is laid out. The store is spacious with a nice perfume counter and cash desk on one end and accessories laid out in an orderly fashion. A very nice colour palette of oranges that tied in with soft blond wood details. Hermes is well known for accessories; ties, scarves, perfumes, belt and ceramics. Two days - only TWO days later - my items were here. I was amazed at the speed of delivery considering it was coming from Toronto. I had originally offered to pay before it was shipped but I was told no, I did not have to pay until it arrived in the store - unlike 90% of all other stores out there. I picked up my items, and they treated me no like I was only buying two items, but as if I was buying out the whole store. It was so nice to have such lovely service! Thank you ladies, you were simply marvellous!
