I switched to this dr after observing her care for my wife and her family, my experience has been great!!

Great Doctor love her. They broke the mold when they made this Doctor. Been to a lot of doctors but I like her style the best.

Dr. Benchik took her time with me and really listened to all of my concerns. She is very knowledgeable and compassionate. She truly understands and cares for her patients. Dr P. Benchik-Abrinko is my elderly mom's beloved PCP. I'm my mother's caregiver. On our recent visit, the Dr. Was unpolitely direct and was unsupportive to me, when I was trying to talk and explain here recent U of Chicago hospitalizations. Benchik treated my mother good but had no patience for me. I had to repeat twice that I am not a NURSE!! Very disappointing visit, staff was all courteous and helpful though! read more

It was with Dr. Paula Benchik-Abrinko that I had one of my most memorable positive experiences with a physician. I had gone to University of Chicago Medical Center, CVS Minute Clinic and the Hammond Clinic. My throat condition worsened. A close friend told me to try Dr. Benchik-Abrinko. I called the office as a new patient on a Saturday morning. At first, her receptionist told me that because I was a new patient and calling on short notice, that they could take me on Monday. Then, she said, "You know what? You sound kinda bad. Come over now and we'll fit you in." I was tested by doctor and told that I had strepp throat. With the right meds I soon got relief. The office and exam rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. I have recommended Dr. Benchik-Abrinko to friends and relatives. We are grateful to have doc in our area. read more

I have known this doctor for years and I stopped going to her around my freshman year or so and then a few years ago I started going back to her and well within the last year I have not had the best experiences such as when I had a medical issue I needed to get in touch with dr and she never contacted me back or her staff didn't get in touch with me and then I called back a couple times and still got nothing and her staff is all full of attitudes and I have made a few calls about some prescription questions and her staff so rude and full of attitudes and disrespectful towards me as a patient and I am not okay with that and then I called back this afternoon and they wouldn't pull my file to look on there at a change towards a prescription that I have a right to know and nothing from the dr and staff rudeness from two of the staff members. I am sorry the dr is nice and she knows her stuff but the rudeness of her staff, the attitudes of her staff, staff disrespectful, dr or staff not calling back or informing me as a patient on changes on medication and so fourth even if it's a no big deal change patients should know, also should be able to talk to the dr or nurse about a medical issue and the patient is just ignored or disapprove a script that I was told had been put in to the pharmacy and called the next day the pharmacy and they said only info in two days they have from the dr is a not approved note for my prescription that I actually need for a medical reason and now I don't have it for however long until I can get an understanding of this from this dr or from her not so great staff. read more

This Dr. has no consideration of your time. Due to COVID I had to wait in the car and I waited 2 hours. On top of that, her receptionist is rude. Every time I called to ask how many more patients in front of me the receptionist said 1 or 2 I don't know with rudeness in her voice. I got tired of waiting and I called and told her to cancel my appointment I was not waiting any longer she hung up on me. Very unprofessional please don't waste your time. read more

Dr Benchik is an Angel, very detailed, explained everything and made me feel at ease. Best internist I've seen in a long time.

I just meet the Greatest Female Doctor ever!!! Dr. Benchick was so down to earth and friendly! She was very detail in trying to find out what's ailing me. When I was sick and unable to come in she made a house call to see me. How Great is that!!! I highly recommend her to anyone that needs a Tender Loving Care Doctor She is the one! read more

Someone should Kindly inform this woman that a signed contract is not necessary between a doctor and patient and let her know that when she signs you into a hospital and cares for you every time you're there,YOU ARE IN FACT HER DOCTOR, and as such you are expected to do everything in your power to help them get the treatment they need EVEN IF IT IS WRITING A LETTER! Unfortunately she just doesn't get it and because of her ignorance she delayed for weeks an appeal for a life saving procedure. Unfortunately there Is not a lower rating, I wouldn't send my worst enemy to her! read more
