He introduced himself and explained what my x-rays revealed. He then said he was glad I came in and proceeded to talk about pain management options. I chose to have knee surgery, at which time he cited his availability to do my surgery. My surgery went well and so did my follow up appointments. During one of my appointments, I asked for additional physical therapy to help increase my knee bend. One year later, and with the extra physical therapy, I feel good and have returned to many of my normal activities. My experience with Dr. Zlotnicki was very positive.

I had suffered for many years with bad pain in my hips and legs. Everyone, including other doctors,…read moreassumed it was my hips. But, yet I kept being told that my hips weren't bad enough for surgery. I switched to S.E. Sports Medicine and was immediately diagnosed with Trendelenburg Gait, meaning my glueteus medius and gluteus minimus tendons were ripped and torn from the bone. After an MRI which clearly verified my condition, Dr. Matthew Wham said that he could repair this. Because of my age, he couldn't be sure of the damage and atrophy until he got into the surgery, but he was hopeful. The surgery went VERY well! The 8 inch incision with 20 or more staples hardly hurt at all, and I am a real pain wuss. In 3 days I was up and using a walker, and I am in a brace from my hip to my knee for 2months, but I can tell that my previous constant pain down my right hip and leg is gone. Dr. Wham is amazing, and I would advise you to goggle him for his specialties and se if he can change your life, too!

Every time I've gone, I've had the best experience. The doctor takes time to talk to me and explain what's going on. He allows me to decide my course of treatment, as opposed to pushing me in one direction or the other. If you need to get trigger point injections, they do them at the office. For more invasive treatments, you have to go to one of the Charlotte locations. Thankfully one of them is just off 485, about 10-15 minutes from the Concord office. I am so glad I was referred to this office. The doctors are excellent and the staff are so friendly. I highly recommend this practice to anyone that needs this type of support. Dr. Thakur is amazing. He manages my back and neck area. Dr. Messick manages my shoulder. I appreciate them tremendously. I promise you will not be disappointed. Be well!

I had shoulder surgery nearly 5 months ago and I wanted to wait a while before I left my review…read more I had some unfortunate circumstances - the pain pump that was placed didn't work and I had terrible pain the next day and had to have it removed. I underwent physical therapy for 4-6 weeks before my MRI was scheduled so that after surgery when I needed PT I ran out of benefits. I am waiting for the new year to begin so I can start back with PT since I still have limited range of motion. I had heard only good things from other patients before my surgery but looking back I wonder about my decisions. It seemed the decision for surgery was given to me and they wanted to know right then if I was ready to schedule. Little information was given to me at the time and that didn't satisfy me. I like to think long and hard about decisions that concern me and when I called back to request additional information it was as if I was being aggravating. Looking back I wonder if I would have made the same decisions. I hope I continue to progress because I don't ever want to go through that again!

It was 15 til 12 when they went to lunch and I asked could I be seen before they go to lunch. I was told no. They use to care about patients and had to see pt all the way up until time to stop. We would get in huge trouble if we did what she did. She was unpleasant from the moment I walked in. No greeting, nothing. I then began asking about the providers that were there and asked when they made some changes to their operations. She replied in a nasty tone and had a "if looks could kill" look on her face. I informed her of how extremely rude and how nasty her attitude was. She proceeds to tell me I'm the disgusting one, then shouts how she does not care about her job. I told her that it was obvious and apparent and that hopefully she wouldn't have to worry about it when I got done calling on her. She then tells me "Call them, if she is gonna come after me, I'm gonna come after her!!!" This absolutely was a threat to me and my safety, not to mention I was with my granddaughter. I told her me coming at her job was not the same as her saying she is coming after me. Then as I was trying to contact someone in my car in the parking lot. She is leaving for lunch and stares me down all the way to her car with a hateful look. As I start to record, she then waves and grins in a sarcastic attitude. She also stops behind my car as she pulls off, which again was threatening. Apparently they are allowed to act this way because when I asked for the manager, there are none.

He explains things in a thorough and kind manner and never makes one feel foolish while asking questions. He does his rounds daily at the hospital before office hours. (He also has an office in Mooresville.) Everyone here was pleasant, efficient and helpful. They return calls promptly and go out of their way with prescription refills and appointments with other places. They have their own X-ray room, which is very convenient. The building is small, but very clean and easily navigable. The handicapped spots are right outside the door but if they are full, there are plenty of other spots just as close.
