I had twisted both knees and heard cracks. Big pain! Couldn't walk. I had to be brought in a wheelchair. He only looked at x-rays, noted there were no breaks or arthritis, and asked me to extend my legs. I couldn't. I was sent home with pills, diagnosed with inflammation. He literally spent about four minutes with me. I asked Resurgens for another doctor. No. Five months later I was still hobbling. My PCP ordered an MRI and referred me back to Bircoll with torn cartilage, debris and a baker cyst. Again, Bircoll never examined my knee or asked me any questions. He kept me waiting almost two hours so he could look at the MRI. Then he chastised me for getting the MRI, remarking that the results didn't matter because I'm old and I just have to live with it. I don't know if he ever looked at the MRI. Judging by the way he was dodging questions, I think not. I asked how to help my knees heal better, what to do for the pain and swelling, or to help the cyst reabsorb. He flatly refused to answer anything. You go to a doctor for help. This one has done nothing - twice. There won't be a third time.

I never request to see any one except him because Dr Kahn transferred to Johns Creek. I drove to Lawrenceville once for an appointment with him and that distance was just way too far and the traffic in that area was horrendous. I'm looking forward to my visit with Dr Koch. I've never had to wait over 5 minutes for any appointment I've had at this office.
