The caller had a thick accent and I asked where she was calling from, she would only say she was working remotely. I point blank asked her if she was in India, she said "yes". I asked her if she had my date of birth, she had my correct date of birth. The terrible part. The urgent care I visited last year, Northlake Urgent Care, located at 4060 Lavista Road is also SnapCare Clinic. This business has sent my personal information overseas to a call center in India. My name, address, social security number, date of birth, and phone number are all being traded in a foreign country known for identity fraud and scam calls. Now they are trading my personal information amongst themselves. Five minutes after I began to write this review, my wife called me and told me she had received the same call from the same person. She visited that same location before I visited. The only reason I gave a one star rating is because there is not a rating below one star. DO NOT do business with these people. They are providing your personal information to foreign entities that can do anything they wish with it, without consequence.

I heard about Dr. Owen at Whole Family Medicine from a coworker who had been through the same ordeal as I. She said Dr. Owen was the one who pinpointed the issue and set her onto a road of recovery. With some hope that I scraped from the bottom of the barrel, in regards to doctors, I went to see Dr. Owen. I wept on the sofa in her office and laid it all out there. She took a deep breath and began that day to set me on my road to recovery! I'm feeling better every day under her care. She understands my apprehensions with western medicine and works around that. She finds the treatments that I am comfortable doing. She has a very optimistic attitude and a matter of fact way about her that makes me feel safe. But... personality aside (I've had several personality plus doctors who had no clue about healing people) Dr. Owen KNOWS HER STUFF! And...if she doesn't know something she will figure it out. She is open to all sorts of treatments and doesn't judge or cringe when a patient brings in their own idea of treatment. Like she said the first time I met her, " If the crud on the bottom of a pond heals you and makes you feel better, then take the crud off the bottom of the pond!!! I don't need to know how it works but that it works!" She doesn't judge her patients. She actually has compassion for them and is curious about these treatments we want to try. I know. I'm one of them. There is a difference between a doctor who practices medicine and a doctor who practices healing. She is the latter. I'm thankful every day for this woman.

But the automated message clearly says their office hours are mon-thurs 9-5 and alternate Friday's from 9-12pm. HA! That must be the best job ever for those office girls, they NEVER have to be at work. I wonder how they're even making money with those kind of hours, wow, 40 hrs a week much? . No but seriously, this whole office is terrible. However, the front office staff and office policies have not been a good experience. I recently moved out of state and attempted to access my records via the patient portal and could not access them. Per an email request, I received a phone call saying I could complete a form for my new physician (I've already done this) and if I wanted my records I could PAY A FEE for them to be provided via CD. I have two overwhelming concerns: 1) I and/or my insurance company have paid through the nose for medical care for the past 8 years; and 2) who uses CDs anymore-- new computers don't come with a CD drive! What century are you in? Everything is cloud-based now and precisely why I should be able to access my records via the portal. As an example, I can access my Emory and Mayo Clinic records today (some are over 2 decades old and others over a decade old). This is a terrible business practice and nothing but a MONEY MAKER for this practice. I'm hugely disappointed in this nonsensical practice. And, I would also be concerned about a medical office SNAIL MAILING private, medical records. Isn't this a HIPAA privacy concern?

Completely unprofessional, and honestly disrespectful of a patient's time. When I finally got to the back, the provider rushed through the exam so fast it felt like she couldn't wait to leave the room. She didn't review any of the information I had already given the intake nurse, didn't acknowledge the symptoms I came in for, and didn't even mention my high blood pressure. I came in for a possible UTI, and instead of assessing anything properly, she asked one quick question and was practically out the door. I had to stop her myself to bring up my copper IUD and other important details she would've known if she had looked at my chart. Her lack of empathy, attention, and basic professionalism was infuriating. I genuinely don't feel like I was cared for at all. What makes it worse is that I paid $250 for this visit -- and honestly, I could have self-diagnosed and used WISP for a fraction of the cost and received better, more thoughtful care. The only positive part of the visit was the front desk staff and the intake nurse. Everyone else made this experience awful. I won't be returning. There is absolutely no reason a patient with a scheduled appointment should wait an hour with no communication or receive such careless, rushed medical care. I'll be choosing a different urgent care from now on.
