Then they tell you to not sign in, but to go to a kiosk to check in. Why have a sign if the policy has changed. Some of do actually read when we walk into places. So even if you have been a patient here you have to fill out all your medical information all over again which is very annoying. I wish they would have told me to sign into a portal from home instead of using this tablet on a stand like all my other doctors ask (dentist, eye doctor) all have this as an option. So make sure you're 15 minutes early so you can fill out all your information and scan your medical cards into the machine.

I was in July 20 21…read moreDr. Schaeffer was the doctor on call when I was brought into the emergency room at Cape Fear Medical Center. He was the surgeon along with the trauma team. I didn't know at the time But the next day when the trauma team and Dr. Schaefer came to visit me in my room I remember Dr. Schaeffer being so caring uplifting and patted me on my leg and told me everything was gonna be OK. I'll never forget it meant a lot to me. From all the nurses that cared for me having to remove 40 stitches and having patience with me and the pain I was dealing with really meant a lot to me at that time as I was going through a lot of mental trauma. Dr. Schaffer to me is very caring and very knowledgeable. I trusted him throughout. I don't know how Miss Horn handles all the chaos of calls and handling Dr. Schaefers appointments. It's a big job and I appreciated the help she gave me in accommodating my appointments. I now see PA Delillo four knee arthritis. I have had steroid shots and an anti-inflammatory shot unfortunately it didn't work for me, but he has me going to physical therapy. I have a new appointment to see him for my lower back pain. After an hour and a half wait, the only person we had seen was the one getting the vitals and taking information. At about the one hour and 15 minute point, someone came in and said they had orders for x-rays. Finally at the hour and a half point, a physician's assistant came in and told us that they didn't have a foot surgeon. They would have to give us a referral to one of them. So we totally wasted just short of 2 1/2 hours with drive time there and back for absolutely nothing. There is NO excuse for the lack of communication nor the lack of common courtesy. We were supposed to see one of the female doctors, but after all their screw-ups, she didn't have the decency to even come in the room. I absolutely can't suggest strongly enough to ask your doctor for a referral somewhere else.

I felt like this place allowed patients to really have a say in their care, rather than just wait and see what they'd be offered. I am also a fan of their business model, focusing on results and effective care through above average customer service. Multiple times, I was asked to complete surveys to assess my satisfaction and improvement according to ME. I've just never seen another physical therapy venue with an emphasis on customer service -- sounds odd, but sure makes a lot of sense! Medical services are a exactly that - a service.
