It's right next to the lake where you can swim, boat and fish. They have boats you can rent at the marina. I rented their older pontoon for a few hours. If you love camping in the forest then you will love this place. Only downside is that camping here is a bit more "roughing" it. No electricity or running water at the campsite. There are Porto potties and wash stations in a couple spots and a running water spigot next to the potties. My camping spot got plenty of sun so I had my solar panel and power banks etc, I still work when camping so needed some power for my laptop.

As for the campground itself, it was pretty basic of what you would expect. You get a spot to pitch your tent, a parking space for a car, a fire ring and a picnic table. The fees seem to be pretty standard compared to other spots that are now 14$ a night. You get charged for extra vehicles and will want to bring cash for those fees. The dirt around here is pretty dusty, if you are visiting from a wetter climate, this can make keeping clean a challenge. Luckily there a lake right there. As with most campgrounds like this, it's a good idea to bring your own toilet paper just in case. Normally I would give a campground like this four stars, but since you're right on the lake and super close to a nice restaurant and bar, I would have to give it five. So keep that in mind when staying here.

I stayed at Quinn River Campground for a few days/nights as part of a field trip exploring…read morevolcanics in the Cascade Mountains in Oregon through university in August 2017. The campground wasn't too full when we stayed and had ample space for all of us. The parking spaces for each campsite were decently sized and we were able to fit the field trip vehicles (including school vans) in without a problem. Noise was not an issue here and quiet hours were observed. The campsites has picnic tables and even ground. This made setting up tents easy and meant we had options as to where to set our tents up on a given campsite. Restrooms were interspersed throughout the campground and there was a water pump where we could go to pump clean/drinking water. Crane Prairie Reservoir borders the campground and it a lovely place to sit and stare at the stars, watch the sun rise, and watch the sun set. Chipmunks also occupied the campground when we were there. We came back to our food store one day to find chipmunks had gone after some bagels. Good reminder we shared the campground with wildlife during our stay.

My daughter had a memorable 2 summers at the camp that is offered for children. There is a nice space for children to play poolside with a sand box area. Our Golf lessons were very productive. My husband improved greatly and is obsessed with golf now...before I know it I will be a golf widow...*chuckle* It is secluded and 20 minutes away from town perfect for retreating. The amenities are for club members only and family of. If you can afford it the place is looking to have tons of potential. We stayed in a yurt, temps in the 20-30s, but our yurt was so warm and comfortable, not to mention spotless! You do need to bring all your own supplies for sleeping and cooking. Its like camping in a ginormous tent! So much room!! There is a microwave and minifridge, and we used our own portable propane campstove and bbq for cooking. There is no internet/wifi so at night we played games, read and danced (did I mention they are huge?). The public flush toilets and showers were also very clean and in great condition. A super fun, unique winter experience. We will for sure be back!!

The cabin had a bed, a table with two chairs, and a gas cook stove (which we did not use). It also had a thermostat-controlled gas fireplace which kept the place nice and warm. The place was pretty small, but adequate for our needs. The big downside was that the overhead light was a very harsh fluorescent light. There was also no porch light. The restrooms were pretty decent, although the TP in the women's bathroom was almost out by Sunday morning. There are plenty of moths, spiders, and other bugs in the bathrooms, which is unpleasant but to be expected. Nearly every single sign is in Comic Sans which makes it feel like the place is run by a bunch of college interns. The lake itself is very beautiful. I recommend doing the five-mile loop hike around it, or renting a boat.

Plenty of space for your little ones to run and parks for them to play on. There was also a small and large dog parks so your furry friends could run out their energy. There were also some picnic areas that looked available to reserve as we noticed some families throwing birthday parties. Very nice park and area to take a stroll if in the area. Pro Tip: Grab a waffle from the secret waffle society at Sun North to enjoy in the park : )

Such a fun splash pad!…read more Tons of parking on Friday 7/5 at 1:10pm. But 95% of the spots aren't shaded. Real flushing bathrooms, water fountains available. Our kiddos (aged 3.5 to 6.5) loved the splash pad. We let them use our tupperware from our picnic to catch the water or cover the spigots, and they loved doing that. Most of the kids playing in the water ended up being temporary friends. Besides the splash pad, there is also a music section (with a xylophone) and some fancy swings. All very sun-exposed. There are several grass areas in the shade. There's also a shaded picnic table area, about 6 picnic tables.

The bike paths are safe and well maintained, everything is accessible by bike, we rode to the grocery store and back in 15 minutes including shop time :0 The loop trail that follows the river is beautiful and a great way to spend the day. The guest clubhouse is definitely family time friendly, upstairs is a large spacious lounge area with plenty of seating. They have board games, pool (75cents a game), and ping pong (25cents a ball) a TV and various puzzles. During the week you can sign up for craft projects. Downstairs is the gym and arcade. The arcade is a little outdated and could use some games form this decade, but ok. The pool and hot tub are a fan favorite kids loved being able to swim at 10 am because the pool is heated. The condo was beautiful and homey the rustic decor blended perfectly into the scenery. Stocked with everything you need to feel at home all you need to bring is laundry soap and bathroom toiletries for the shower. You can bring food to cook on the stove or the provided BBQ pits outside each unit. We are already looking forward to our next stay.

I bought two tickets to the zip line for myself and my grandson to celebrate his 13th birthday…read more Neither of us (69 yrs for me) had ever zip lined before. I was a bit nervous before arriving. But I'm so glad I had this experience! First, the prep for the zip line is thorough and reassuring. The demo line helps feel comfortable. Second, the team you go up with (2 guides in front and 1 in back) are amazing. Felt very safe with them. They were fun as well and really added to our experience. And third the zip line itself is spectacular - the views, the speed, the ease to control your own speed, all top notch. I highly recommend this experience. It felt good to step outside my comfort zone and created a core memory for my grandson.
