Apart from being a wonderful, patient and extremely knowledgeable teacher, Jeannie Laslo, through her teachings, managed to transform my life. Before the course, I was always stressed out and anxious about my career and finances; I had simply lost direction. Just half way through the course, my outlook on life greatly improved. I no longer feel stressed and I am about to embark on my craziest adventure yet: law school. But above all, this course allowed me to assess myself and life and taught me that there is no potential; there are simply limitless possibilities and I am empowered to do anything I imagine. For this reason, I would whole-heartedly recommend doing the Yoga Teacher Training course at Yoga Indigo because, apart from learning how to teach Hatha Yoga to others, you will also rediscover yourself.

On my initial visit, I didn't feel like I was asked relevant or exploratory questions; mostly repeats of the questionnaires I filled out. The office visit with the membership program was $330 and the test that was recommended was $500. We hadn't gotten to a return visit or supplements. I was hoping to establish a relationship with someone but the costs were prohibitive without, in my case, depth of care. Maybe if someone has a specific condition they want to address would have a better experience.

All of the teachers follow the same flow formula (at least with respect to the "groove" class offering that dominates the schedule) Starts out with yin or stretching... go through a warrior combo sequence... first slow, taking a few breaths in each pose, then following through it a few times. Quick break to do core then the flow again followed by a cool down. Class to class is verrrry similar which is nice for the structure but makes me feel like my practice isn't well rounded. I've been going to another studio just to make sure my practice involves more then the same 12 poses and pigeon. My favorite teach is Bryna. She has a wonderful personality and energy and is the least Formulaic. Kayla is also fantastic but usually only subs. I like and recommend David too, esp if you are newer. As far as I can tell, they don't do much in the way of adjustments or hands on so if you're looking for they you might be happier at namaspa.

I visited Sisters Oregon and never thought I would find a yoga studio like Life Love Yoga there!…read more Right when I walked in the studio was super clean and cozy. There were plenty of mats, bolsters, blocks, and straps and I started thinking "This place is legit!". Then Kari taught the most amazing flow class ever. She pays attention to every student, makes suggestions, and knows when you may need to take a rest. Although there were several other people in the class I felt like I was getting the attention of a private class. I felt amazing afterward! I ended up staying for the "Golden Yoga" class which was a great relaxing stretch. It was amazing to see Kari go from the more intense flow class to helping ladies in their 60's 70's and 80's with such ease. I live in Los Angeles and have had some amazing yoga teachers but Kari is right up there on top.

The owner taught the class, (a fantastic teacher...just what my worn down bones needed) there were props galore, huge plus, and was soooo reasonably priced. $12 for the class...now that's namasté-razy! If you're visiting the quaint area of Sisters or are a local, you need to know what a gem of a studio LLY is. So glad I found it!

I was looking for a Pilates class while I was staying in Bend for the night. Trusty Yelp pointed me…read moreto Bend Pilates. I called them to find out their schedules for the evening and they had a 4:30pm slot available. Perfect! I arrived a few minutes early to fill out the usual waivers. The standard drop in rate is $27. This Pilates studio did not require the grippy socks my home studio in Seattle usually mandates. In this class, we would be utilizing 3 machines (standard reformer, chair reformer, and mat reformer). It is a relatively small studio- max of 5 students per class. The instructor was wonderful! She was patient in explaining each of the moves and gave me plenty of pointers and tips along the way. We did great core work and I thoroughly enjoyed trying out new machines. The one downside? I didn't get to really sweat in this class (maybe it just wasn't the right class for me?). But I will definitely be back to try another class the next time I am visiting Bend.
