Free Spirit is AMAZING! My ten year ninja-mad daughter attended a regular Monday night session for three months while we lived in Bend, in addition to every second Saturday Ninja Night. She had a blast, loved all the coaches (especially the owner, Seth) and learnt so much. She had been attending ninja classes in Florida for years but learnt more in three months at Free Spirit than all those classes combined. She could not wait to go!!! Way to much money for kids classes. Not a super fun place either. I feel like there are better options in Bend than this.

I haven't taken any of their classes yet but am excited to try them one day. My kids and I have gone to open play a few times and really enjoyed it. My little ones love to climb, jump and hang on things so this place is perfect for them. We have a climbing wall at home so my 2 and 4 year old were perfectly fine climbing up to the top area. Although I miss bouncing off the wall (RIP), I feel like this place is more suited for my kids and they The staff is super nice and facility is always clean and well kept. Setting up your account and signing the waiver for the first visit took a while so I would suggest doing it online if at all possible. read more

The space was very cool and felt clean. Taking off two stars because the website was really unclear about toddler times for open play. On the website it says open play is 9-12. If you look closely, there are other spots on the website that indicate you get 90 minutes, but nowhere does it say that there are two designated sessions from 9-10:30 and 10:30-12 (and that they will ask you to leave before the end of the session to prep for the next group). When we checked in they didn't mention the session window - and they also didn't mention it when I purchased an additional pair of socks ten minutes befor our window was over. The other family that was there had the same issue, and also thought the session went until 12. We all would have arrived right at nine if we knew there was a short window. If the website was clearer, this would be five stars. read more

I absolutely love this yoga studio! The outdoor yoga with Rachel is dreamy with the epic view of the river and mountains in the background. Amazing!!! My son absolutely loves the "ninja" play area and I had the best yoga session with Rachel. Highly (HIGHLY) recommend this place for parents and kids alike. The yoga class I took was flexible, tailored to my physical needs and a great experience. Very cool facility and I appreciate the evening toddler hours, but the customer service could not have been worse. We arrived at 5pm and the two women at the front desk rudely informed us that they would be closing in an hour, and that they have to clean up before they close, so we would only have 45 minutes to play. We were fine with that, but they were clearly trying to get us not to come so they could go home early. And if you advertise you are open until 6, then you should start cleaning up at 6. They were the opposite of welcoming. Too expensive for that kind of attitude. read more

There are so many options for kids. Trampoline parks, bounce houses and climbing walls. We have looked into a bunch of different classes for our kids who are 4 and 7. Many of the places in Bend are larger and a little overwhelming for little kids, and classes can get extremely expensive. We stumbled onto Free Spirit as we were driving by. The facility is brand new. This place looked perfect. We walked in and were greeted immediately. It was busy as many other parents were looking too. There were different times for different age groups which I really liked. Having my 4 year old running around with 12yr olds can be a little too much for her. They have open play times per age group and offer many different classes. We signed my son up for the Ninja Warrior class. 8 classes, an hour each class and all for 100.00!! This price is extremely competitive and hard to beat. He has taken his first class and absolutely loved it. There were three instructors for about 15-20 kids. They split them up into groups according to height which was really smart. They do yoga, stretching and Ninja Warrior obstacles. My son was exhausted by the end and worth every penny. Classes are filling up fast. My daughters class will start in two months. If you are looking for something different and at a great price check out Free Spirit. So happy we found you and extremely happy to be part of something special. read more

Highly recommend for kids yoga classes, open play and birthday parties! We've experienced it all with our 9 year old and almost 5 year old. Our daughter who is 9 loves the yoga class while her brother plays in the open play session. We had our daughter's birthday party there and the staff made it super easy for us and fun for kids. Our ninja classes start in April yay! The adult fitness classes are also awesome! The owners and staff are super friendly and helpful. read more

Fun place for kids. My boys had a blast there. The reason for the one star off is they require you purchase a punch pass per kid instead of allowing families to share. This is an expense that people with multiple kids would have to budget for, or simply make it not affordable. Most other kid play areas in Bend allow the punch passes to be for the family, not just the individual. read more

My 2 year old daughter absolutely adores going to Toddler Open Play time at Free Spirit. Offered every day from 10:30-12:30PM, toddler open play provides ample activities for my 2 year old to enjoy. She runs from back and forth from rock climbing, jumping in the foam pit, and balancing on the balance beam in the large play area to playing with the puzzles, magna tiles, and balance board in the younger child area. There is something for toddlers and kids of all ages to enjoy! read more

We've done several of the baby ninja classes which are awesome for that age range! However, the toddler open play has been awful every single time we've gone. AND as we would leave, there would be other parents leaving at the same time complaining about the same issue. Every. Time. The toddler open play is up to age 6 which is not technically toddler age. They also say spots are limited but they clearly don't abide by the capacity limit as there are 5 and 6 year olds all over the place knocking over the smaller children and running up the slides. Parents left and right are continuously removing their toddlers from these older kids since the older kids' parents just sit there on their phones. Staff doesn't regulate the chaos and should intensely reconsider the toddler time age range. We will not be going back to the open play unfortunately, but might consider doing the classes intended for actual toddlers again. read more

Thoughtfully designed with an infant toddler area right by the main area where an adult could potentially watch a slightly older kid. Owner was there and super nice. Not just for kids! I've been a member for a few weeks now. They offer really high quality fitness training for adults. The coaches are all very experienced. The mix of classes covers functional movement, circuit training, and yoga. I started coming because I was bored with air squats, burpees, rounds for time, etc that many gyms offer. Free Spirit uses new quality gear that is less common - maces, sandbags, and of course the obstacle course. The mix of classes means I can work hard with the fitness classes then recover and work on mobility with Yoga, so I can use my membership more days of the week without overtraining. They don't have barbell gear so it's not for everyone, but great for fun, functional, agility oriented stuff. read more
