Terrible workmanship and very poor customer service and buying experience from this company in cabinets. Issues began when I was told cabinets would fit in the wine room if swapped out in the butlers pantry area which was incorrect. I was informed this without the field manager measuring and he had a tape measure. Next, when looking through the quote, I had to correct a few items that had the color wrong for some cabinets and missing certain locations that was to be added. Despite the initial red flags, I proceed with this company because the home builder uses them. I paid 50% down for custom cabinets to go into product and was required to pay the other 50% before they began to install the cabinets. One would think that demanding final payment before install and over a two month process this company would have all the materials and everything would be ready for install but they did not. Trim pieces are missing, filler pieces are missing, molding pieces are missing, glue residue left inside cabinets, and the cabinet doors are crooked. They also installed the crown molding directly up against the ceiling so now it causes floor squeaks when walking upstairs despite telling them not to. They even covered up and pushed back the surround sound wire into the studs leaving me to pay for their carpenter's mistake. The carpenter was coming to address the wire and they instructed him to turnaround and not address it! They left the electrical plugs and data plugs with no space during the cutouts and installed the cabinets not allowing to use both plug outlets. Also, as part of the incomplete install, they also scratched our walls in several places, left dirty hand print marks on our walls, caused the walls to separate in the corners by the carpenter banging and forcing the shelves in the space because he cut them incorrect! And they do not caulk all the gaps they leave from their installs!! There is also dust all over the garage door and inside the garage that they didn't clean up from cutting the material they did have. This company has provided no clear path on their resolution plans damaging our walls. While they added the missing pieces they elected to not correct damage to our home. Also, the cabinet company found one set of upper cabinets in the butlers pantry that they failed to even screw into the wall!!! Very poor customer service, installation, and workmanship!! Quality is awful. We paid for custom cabinets and didn't receive that. We have large groves inside of the drawers that are not flush. It looks mismatched. These are not custom cabinets which we paid for. Sales and customer service is difficult to deal with. They do things their way and not what you want. I would never recommend! The cabinets are beautiful and seem to be well made, but, dear god, Benedettini is a nightmare to work with. * To start with, our cabinets were measured wrong. That's mostly my interior designer's fault, but the Benedettini rep (Ashlee Harry) did come and check all his measurements saying they were "spot on". 3 replacement cabinets had to be ordered to fix the mismeasurements. It's now June. * The cabinet faces were stained incorrectly and had to be redone. They did do this at their cost, but this added a many week delay in finishing the cabinets. * For the install, the installer shows up, works 4 days, and then disappears with the job only halfway done. He returns a week later later and finishes up. An extra week where we have to go without a kitchen to make any meals. * I wait 10 WEEKS for the new faces and replacement cabinets with no communication from Benedettini. I call them directly and learn that NOTHING HAD BEEN ORDERED. They blame the interior designer, but they knew they had to do new faces at the very least and just ignored that. * The rep no longer has the measurements for the replacement cabinets. I have to wait a week for her to come out and re-do all the measurements. It's now August. * A week after that, she calls and is unclear on the measurements she took. She asks me to hold a tape measure up to the missing cabinet gap and text her a picture. * I've had it with my interior designer at this point and ask Benedettini to stop working with him and instead work directly with me to get this done. They refuse and say they will only work with the interior designer, who is his own special type of nightmare. * To try and make sure this replacement order is done correctly, I ask for the specifications on what is ordered. I get no reply. I have to ask multiple times before I finally get the specifications. A bench and a shelf have been measured wrong. I inform them of the correct measurements. * After another 10 week wait, the replacement cabinets and new faces show up. The replacement cabinets have the WRONG STYLE FACES. Those will have to be ordered AGAIN. Two drawers are in the delivery, but no faces for them came. Those will have to be ordered as well. The bench is the wrong size even though I told them. It is now December. * Again, the installer does half the job and disappears. He comes back 10 days later and finishes. He says he told the interior designer, but no one told me. It's now January. * Benedettini does not install hardware which the interior designer apparently didn't know. After opening my cabinet doors with tape for months, I pay the installer to do the hardware for me. His assistant does it, eyeballing it with a plastic ruler and leaving pencil marks on all the doors. All of the hardware is visibly crooked and not aligned with each other. Installer charges me $600 for the 2 hour job. * Installer tell me he'll handle the problem with the wrong cabinet faces. Weeks go by with no faces. I call the installer to find out what is going on and he says he'll check and get back to me. Doesn't call back. I call him again the next week. Again, promises to get back to me the next day with an update. Doesn't call back. It's February. * Since the installer won't call back, I call the customer service rep. Leave messages for Ashlee to get some update on the faces - no calls returned. I call company headquarters, am told the sales manager will get back to me immediately. That call is never returned. * I'm finally told the new faces were stained incorrectly and will have to be redone. * New faces finally arrive and installer does them. Cabinets are finally done. It's the end of March. A full 9 months to get cabinets installed. If you must hire Benedettini, be prepared for lots and lots of mistakes, for no communication, and for the job to take much longer than it should. read more

I tried for over two weeks to coordinate additional cabinets being built in my house with very little success. called on March 27 and was referred to salesman. talked with salesman on March 30 who stated he would contact me back no later than March 31. he did not call. left message for salesman on April 2. no response. called business on 4/3 and was told they would have salesman contact me. no response. called business on 4/8 and was told they would immediately contact salesman to have them call me. no response. if other demands are pressing I understand. just say so and I can adjust expectations and make decisions to either wait or take business elsewhere. These folks are AWFUL. We have been waiting for four months just to get the CAD drawings. Have heard every excuse in the book as to why they can't get this done. . . .and when they do produce the CAD drawings they have the same mistakes as the time before . WE have told them to correct this 4X now and they still send us back the CAD drawings unchanged. Then we found out that the person doing our CAD drawing is the son of the owner. Gee Dad can't the kid do a real job ?? IF you have a chance ask your builder to find you a different cabinet maker. Along with the other reviewer -no answers to phone calls, emails or our builder. Now we are stuck waiting for the correct drawings and then over 2 months to get these things built. Can't wait to see all the fake wood - especially since we supposedly picked maple. We ordered custom cabinetry from them less than 5 years ago. They do not back their product and customer service is non existent. Our drawers will not stay shut and one is off track and it took over 6 months to finally speak to someone in service department. I am hiring a trim carpenter (NOT Benedettini) to come repair my $40k custom cabinets. read more

Whoever builds the cabinets can do a nice job. However, their installers made SO many mistakes, it was ridiculous! Some pieces were mitered in the wrong direction, and they installed these "cut-wrongly" trims anyway, using putty to fill errors and stick things back together - when we showed the neighbors these examples of their work, they burst out laughing! At one point, the installers borrowed a cabinet front for cabinet-makers to match. When they returned it, (I had asked them to be careful since I knew what was next) sure enough, the cabinet door was damaged and scratched so badly from sliding around in their truck - they don't take pride or any precautions for their work. They tried to install the door anyway, but our builder wouldn't allow it. If you have a problem, getting them to fix it without the installers turning things into more problems became almost impossible for us. It took months for them to finish the job, and they only kept coming to repair because the builder used them for other houses. read more
