Do not get an apartment with BRG! They are a criminal organaization pretending to be a real estate company. They stole money from me, I sent documentation to the president of the company who did nothing because he approves of stealing money from people who reside in his properties. They hire unlicensed contractors who can't fix building issues. They ignore your complaints. They also invent ways to fine tenants. One tenant had to pay for an imaginary stain on the floor, they had a company come wax the floor and charge this person for a stain that didn't exist! This company should be investigated! read more

Dealt with BRG Management lately and had unpleasant experience specifically Mr. Andy Falkin who handled incompetently emergency issue inside my shareholder's apartment, due to the incompetency of staff and outdated information posted inside building in regards to relevant contacts in case of emergency, unavailability of management staff when needed, blamed me to cause issues with their boiler equipment and charged me a violation for 'time building management invested in trying to figure out the issue' which is not my responsibility as a tenant. I am paying my monthly maintenance fee and boiler equipment service is included in that fee. I am not charging you for time I had invested to handle an emergency situation with zero assistance from management when super was on vacation. I had to go to work on September 5, 2024 and due to emergency situation inside my apartment with toilet flushing that got stuck and was swirling non stop with water overlapping through toilet borders because of the water repair in building not my apartment on September 3, 2024, was not able to go to work and I am requesting a compensation for time I had invested in trying to figure out the issue with repair on my own due to unavailability of staff. read more

Horrible experience living at Windsor Park in Oakland Gardens, NY owned by BRG management. BRG has a nice looking website and a client portal for rent payments and work orders. However, you will find yourself left out alone to endure all the nonsense at the apartment. I managed to move out of the apartment but I will share some of the experience that I've had. (1) rodents. I saw a mice once in 2 years at the basement of the apt, and lived together with cockroaches. Roaches will appear every once in 3 days to your room, kitchen, living room, bathroom. Sometimes, if you are lucky it will be once in a week. I requested to enhance their pest control but no response from management. (2) there was a leak from the bathroom ceiling which i reported through website, left a message, and left a voice message (i was not able to talk to anyone from BRG throughout my residency of 2 years cuz they never pick up the phone). No one bothered to even call me or visit to resolve the issue. Only after 3 months they taped cardboard boxes to the ceiling to cover the hole. It hasn't been fixed till the day i moved out. (3) Windsor Park requires you to pay $60 key deposit for key fobs. But they will not return the deposit to you when moving out. (4) there is an unclear line of responsibility between BRG and Windsor Park. In multiple instances, they will tell other party is responsible for what you've requested. (5) Impossible to have a communication with a manager from BRG. read more

BRG owns my upstairs unit and water leaks at least 3 times a year from the unit to mine. It takes a few months to figure it out and a month later water starts leaking again.i think they put bandages on the leaking water. These days I called because of water leaking and they don't pick up the phone. Terrible terrible company. My upstairs neighbor told me that she emailed with pictures and called them countless times, but BRG ignored her and she didn't pay her rent fee and it becomes pending and they said yes to fix finally, my neighbor paid then the cases cancelled. BRG focus on only making money. Don't move into BRG property, if you do, then your nightmare is going to start. read more

These people are crooks. Do not trust them. They oversee 14905 79th Owners Corp and they did not set up any covid guidelines for the building even when people were dying at record rates hospitals all over the city. We haven't had the main entrance door lock for over a year so anyone can come into our building off the streets, especially the drug addicts who hang out across from our main entrance and they do not respond to complaints. I do not understand how they have the capacity or capability to actually run a building much less be a landlord. read more

Agreed that they're terrible. You can't even get on their website without a PIN number. My aunt has no idea what hers is, and there's nobody to call to find out. Nobody can help us. I'm staying in her apartment while she takes care of my cousin, and the situation is maddening. There is a constant drip-drip-drippity-drip-drop noise coming from the bedroom ceiling that she says has been there for nearly 2 years. She tried to complain and got nothing. No fix. It's torture to hear that dripping at various speeds and intervals all day & all night. Her bathroom ceiling is a mess. They've "fixed" it at least 3 times, but it's obvious there's major pipe damage in the walls. I fear there's toxic mold under there, too. How in the world can I get ahold of these people to fix her problems when I can't even find a website to make general contact?? Horrible service. They are worst, they try to take money out of me for their own repairs which it's not problem if it isn't in my apartment. I may own my place but there been issues within the building that refuse to fix. Even though the appearance is nice. The lack of communication between management and tenants is deplorable. There have been a mold issue and currently a terrible mice issue in my apartment that I've been trying to get resolved for the past 5 months. Building is not taken care of properly. Have to email management and hope to get a response. Super doesn't care about anything. Once Benedict Properties took over the building, it was all downhill from there on. It's a shame, the building was a beautiful one before they took it over. Now I'm embarrassed for people to come there. Dirty, leaks, lights not working, mold, mice, drains don't work, washers and dryers constantly break and elevator breaks down constantly , most times with someone in there and have to be taken out by fire department. This place is genuinely the worst property management company I have ever dealt with. RANETTE disclosed private information about my sisters credit over the phone. When I told her I was calling at her request she told me "everyone has problems, are you calling to cause problems?" Which was way out of line. So I calmly said I was trying to help my sister figure out the rental situation. She said "tell her shes denied" and proceeded to tell me the owner of the property management is a harvard lawyers wife ( big woop) and they weren't doing anything wrong. We had 2 leaks in one month and they never took any part in helping! even laughed at us when I came to their offices to give them a piece of my mind. Andy - the property manager is the biggest prick of them all. I was in his office crying and almost having a nervous break down, and all he had to say is "I understand", instead of offering to help us during the floods. Due to their poor management and lack of common sense, the neighbors above us live like pigs and hoarders and not up to code, and because of that we got the 2 leaks and had to live in a tiny hotel with 4 people for a month, because we had to gut reno the bathroom and kitchen. 4 years with them in Queens, a real nightmare, broken window frames in the whole apartment, that made winters a real terrible experience, mice all around inside and outside the unit, 6395 Austin Street Rego Park, the most filthy carpet I have ever seen on the floors of the aisles of any apartment building, zero maintenance. These Management Group lie to renters sending them to the coop to solve the problems, Illegal actions. The owner, utterly filthy behavior and lack of any ethic. Price? $3000 a month. Stayed here because I had a hypercalcemia that didn't allow may brain to function properly. Doctor took me out of unit right away with arthritis developed because the shape of the apartment, reported to City Health Department for mice and filthy surrounding inside the building, three months later they didn't take care about rodent problem thou required by the City.
