It's split between the merchandise section (downstairs) and the salon (upstairs). The salon has that Aveda smell that I can't get enough of (sorta herbal and minty)---except when they have beef brisket samples downstairs... which I also can't get enough of. The five stars are mostly for Bridget, the Juut stylist I've seen since 2006. I love, love, love her. I love her enough to drive all the way to Woodbury and make my way through the frozen food section of a grocery store just to get to her. I knew we were meant for each other the first time we met when I said, "I kinda like mullets---fashion-mullets." And she said, "I can do that!" Every haircut at Juut begins with a relaxing little head and neck massage and a shampoo. Nothing ever feels rushed and Bridget never makes me feel bad when I tell her I haven't washed my hair in three days. There are only about 4 chairs here, so it's never crowded or loud like some other salons. Bridget takes her time with her shears and I always leave feeling better looking than when I came in, which is the best thing about haircuts, right? The only caveat is that Bridget's prices are sky-high (I think it's because she's a "Senior Stylist"). I don't get cuts frequently, so I don't mind spending a little more for exactly what I want. Plus, all Juut salons have free bang trims, so that's a nice bonus when I have to get, like, 4-5 of them in between annual haircuts.

So you enter the grocery store, then go upstairs to the salon. The salon waiting room is open air, so you can hear the background noise of the grocery store, but it didn't bother me much. You check in upstairs. But you pay downstairs (in the Aveda store) - your aesthetician will walk you downstairs. The prices quoted are for their more junior level folks. It takes probably 5-10 minutes to make an appointment. But, I haven't had much difficulty getting an appointment when I want one. Below are the services I've had with different people here. I've had one haircut with Tracy. She's the mid-level, my basic haircut was ~$50. The haircut itself was good, it was what I asked for. But, it wasn't fantastic. Personally, she was friendly and nice, but I didn't feel a real connection with her. Also, I felt some pressure to purchase products, which I dislike. At this point, I'll keep looking for a stylist, but if i can't find anyone, I'd be willing to come back to Tracy. I *love* my waxer, Kelly. She is amazing. She is master level (the top level), so her prices are ~$5 - $10 more per service than what's quoted in the price list. After my first visit, I knew that i'd continue to see her. My very sensitive skin usually takes a while to recover after a wax, but after a visit to Kelly, my skin looks great after about a day. She's also very personable, I don't feel pressure to purchase more services or products, and I don' feel like she's being friendly to get a bigger tip or becuas she feels she *has* to be nice. updated, 4/27/08

I called the salon at 3:57PM on 8/30/2022 and confirmed with the receptionist that my unused $200 gift card would be honored for an upcoming service. The receptionist placed me on hold to confirm and stated "Yes, you can absolutely use the gift card for any service, including Botox and injections, at Love A & B." When I got to the register for my service today 9/2/2022, I handed them the $200 gift card to go towards my $500 service. The receptionist stated that they could not honor the unused gift card. I explained the conversation I had with the receptionist on 8/30/2022 and showed them the screenshot of the phone call that occurred and the response from the two staff members was "Sorry, the receptionist that was working at that time on 8/30/2022 is new and hasn't been trained." And "I'm sorry, we know you were expecting to use that $200 gift card." Correct, I was expecting to use my $200 gift card, as that is what the receptionist explicitly told me during the conversation on 8/30/2022. Listen, I understand mistakes happen and have been there. But if an employer has employees mistaking policies, overpromising to customers, and/or failing to train their new hires, that is on them and the business to make it right, not me as the customer. Went in before a trip a few days ago and the lady working on my nails couldn't have cared less. Rough with my hand positioning, completely missing the side edge on every nail AND got mad because the lamp wasn't curing the polish. She had to re do some nails and as I'm leaving says "It SHOULD be dry, but come back if not.". Why wouldn't you just do it right to begin with?? I'm now three days out and got the lovely surprise that my nails in fact didn't cure under the top layer of gel when they started to lift. I now have to find a random salon to just get this off my nails. There's some amazing staff here but it's becoming roulette if you book an appointment without picking someone specifically.
