So... totally thought this place was in a room of some sort - but be aware that you are out on the makeup floor in .. Tacoma Mall.. not just some nice mall, maybe that would be different. No, you will be sitting in the makeup section at the benefit counter, in the Tacoma Mall Macys. The woman who did my brows was really nice, but their whole process is not worth the money that they charge. I thought this was going to be a good experience due to the price, usually nice eyebrow waxes are $25. They essentially do a really quick wax and minimal pluck and then put makeup all over you to make your brows look good - or, to "hide the redness." I went home and noticed that my top brow was hardly done. They totally try to sell you on their products too with the whole, "oh wow, this cover up matches you really well..." They then asked me if I wanted someone to put makeup on me and play around.. I thought they were bored and doing me a favour? Idk.. nope trying to sell products. I JUST WANT A NICE PLACE TO GET MY BROWS DONE. read more

Tehsin is and will always be my brow go to. Every time I see her I leave with amazing brows. She is personable and amazing at her job. I come all the way from Lynnwood to come see her in Tacoma. I pass 3 different brow bars, just to see Teshin. She is incredible and always recommends products that are complimenting to my taste and what will look great on me. I've been going to the Benefit BrowBar for over a year now and I love it! I started out at the Olympia location in the Macy's beauty department just on a whim but the way Yvonne paid attention to detail in the shape of my eyebrows changed my eyebrow game forever! So much so that I followed her over to the Tacoma location when they got rid of BrowBar in the Olympia Macy's. Not only is Yvonne great at waxing my brows to give them a great shape (which is not easy with my sparse brows) but she is so sweet and friendly every time! I love her and recommend her to all my friends and family! Just went to the brow bar on Wednesday, by a friend referrel and let me just say my experience was awesome! Sheena is the eyebrow master! I have over plucked my eyebrows forever and am trying to grow them back into some sort of shape. I saw Sheen and she cleaned up my brows so that we can start building a shape......but honestly my eyebrows already look amazing times better! I am looking forward to returning and having great eyebrows! LOL I have always been very sceptic of who I will let cut my hair, do my eyebrows, and that sort of thing.........but my friend refferred me to Sheena and I was not disappointed. read more

I've been going here for a few times and this time they burned my eye really bad from hot wax. My friend has this experience happen earlier from here but then it happened to me too. I'm so disappointed. They should have tested the wax before using it on a client. This place is not cheap either so I am very disappointed and I think everyone should be warned. read more

I really like the Brow Bar and think they do a great job. While it's done at a make-up counter it doesn't feel strange to me and I haven't experienced anyone trying to push the products (they do use them on you, so you get an idea if you are interested in something). I saw Sheena there for almost 2 years until she left earlier this year. I have been back twice since she's been gone and my brows haven't been the same, so I'm going to follow her to her new position at X-Wax in Tacoma. The other ladies are all great - friendly, knowledgeable, skilled - but Sheena just had a way with my unruly brows. read more
