But if I didn't text or call them I wouldn't have known that cause they never said a thing. I will not be rescheduling with this company for nothing. Oh and it was just a ceiling fan that needed fixing and looked at.

The estimator, Mark, was wonderful and talked me through the work and then two techs (Chris and someone else whose name I'm forgetting) showed up promptly the day of the work and completed the job without any drywall damage (which I was actually anticipating given that they had to run a wire). Chris and the other tech were very friendly and professional and kept me updated the whole time. Compared to the two other companies I received estimates from, Milton was communicative, competitive in terms of pricing, willing to address all my questions, and high quality in their work. One group was super shifty and we believe were on drugs, another rep visited wanted to shoot the breeze and BS about everything but the work he came out to survey. We also had a bigger name reputable company visit. Their rep was very knowledgeable and competent, but pricing was extremely high, the contract was also not itemized per service, but only provided an arbitrary flat total price for everything. Nonetheless we ended up selecting the big name company however to get the price down we chose to omit certain services and asked the rep to remove those items and send a revised contract with the new price. The rep refused to update our contract and said he would revise later after he came back to do the work. In my opinion not an honest practice to force a customer into business with you so you can arbitrarily update the number later. Should've seen that coming with their first contract. Frustrated we cancelled the big name, searched again and found Milton Electric. Was quoted an hourly rate plus parts over the phone. Their electrician Patrick arrived on time, was polite, friendly and professional. The quality of the work and approach was simpler and leaner than all the other companies and the final price far more reasonable. Could not be happier. Will be using Milton again in the future. Highly recommend.

I recently had to get some permitting issues resolved with my house (a long story that I will…read moreexplain in a future review) and one of the problems I had to deal with was that when my breaker panel was replaced in early 2010 the electrician who did the job didn't apply for a permit. I tried to just deal with the permit office myself, but it turned out that the previous electrician had a block on his license and was now unreachable so I needed a new electrician to certify my panel. Madden Electric was recommended by a couple of neighbors so I gave them a call. As I soon learned this company isn't the greatest about returning phone calls, but fortunately that's the only real issue I had with them. Once I got through to them they promptly scheduled an appointment. It was easy to schedule it at a convenient time and the electrician who came by was friendly and seemed very competent. Unfortunately my panel was not completely up to code (there was nothing unsafe about it, but the rules say it needs a secondary grounding wire that's run out to an outside rod) which meant several hundred dollars worth of work before it would pass an inspection. I wasn't happy about paying money for completely pointless work but that was the fault of the mortgage company and the city electrical code, not Madden's. The price they charged to get the work done wasn't cheap, however I know that an electrician's time is expensive and I felt their rate was fair. They took care of all the permit paperwork and scheduled an inspection. When the inspector came by my panel passed without any problems. While I wish that I hadn't had to hire them in the first place I was pleased with Madden Electric and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others for home electrical work. As I mentioned earlier the owner isn't the greatest about returning phone calls but other than that I was very happy with their work and felt that they charged reasonable prices.

We then later hired him again to install recess lights in the kitchen along with a chandelier and had him move our wiring due to removing a wall. He also installed an outdoor outlet and light switches. Once again his work was completed on time and he did a great job. The new lighting looks amazing! My only complaint was when I later tried to hire him to install a socket in the kitchen above the stove in the cabinet for a microwave that we we're getting installed, we got crickets. He responded maybe once or twice stating that he'll let us know when he can come back out but never heard back from him again.

He proceeded to leave saying he could fix it but changed a diagnostic fee of $113. They sent a different crew a few days later; who asked for significantly more money to fix it and refused to deduct the $113 from the price. I would recommend calling a different plumber. This was the worst company I have dealt with and seems to be causing additional damage on purpose in hopes of driving up the amount they can charge. Photos of hose they broke as well as the inside which they caused the additional damage.

I had a loud noise coming from my compressor outside my house. I called Enhanced to diagnose my…read moreissue and fix it, to be frank. The technician came out and took a quick look and determined the issue was with the fan blades for the fan motor, as the motor was not binding. This noise was super loud with a grinding component. Well he did not have a fan blade, so he would have to order it. The diagnostics cost me 69 bucks...I would have been ok with that for a thorough diagnostics. Additionally, my system was old so there was a recommendation to replace the system. I agreed that a new system quote was in order. Later, I was told to replace the fan blade (one bolt install) would cost me 385 bucks?... I just ordered the fan blade ($80) only to find out no way that noise could have been coming from a fan blade. Also, I found some repair folks online (youtube) that helped ME diagnose the problem correctly. It was the compressor causing the issue. BTW the price for replacing the fan was in addition to the diag. fee not including it as most companies do... The only good thing that came out of this interaction was the company that sold me the fan accepted the return, and the price I was quoted for the new HVAC units was very competitive. I just did not have the confidence in them to install my system or back the warranty.

So I called Enhanced on SATURDAY MORNING and they were able to send someone within a couple hours from the time I called. They were very polite and professional. When their tech arrived ( on time ) he asked a few questions and diagnosed the problem in about 5 minutes. It was a blown capacitor in the condenser unit. He had the whole job done amazingly fast! The bill was very reasonable, especially for an emergency call on a weekend! I will be sticking with them long term. I HIGHLY recommend this company--you won't be disappointed!!! I am lucky I found them!!
