My family & I have been long time consumers of Benihana's fabulous cuisine! Our last dinner was my 82nd birthday celebration on Tuesday the 9th. My husband, sister, and both of my son's brought me. Although we prefer Dani as our server, she was not on the schedule that night. However, our server, Sydney, and our cook Estella were wonderful and made my birthday celebration most enjoyable! We were there this Sunday.Our Reservations was at Seven o'clock. For a party of six people.....since our birthday girl Of Twelve years Old Today invited two of her closest girlfriends...., to celebrate with us. The Restaurant was busy and noisy as well. It's been a long time since I have been to this location. There is plenty of seating and spacious. The hibachi is the one that most go for and what we did too. There was a group of 7 of us and we were seated once everyone in the party arrived. It includes salad and soup. The steak was good along with the veggie sides and loads of rice that they give everyone. There was a scoop of ice cream provided at the end of the course and it was a nice ending to the meal. The service was attentive and wonderful throughout the entire visit. There was no leftovers since I finished it all because it was very good. Had dinner here on Christmas and the waitress was almost 1.5 hours even with a reservation so they definitely overbook and don't care about people waiting. Well I will say once we sat down the service was very good (friendly, attentive and professional). The chef put on a great show sl8cing and co9king on the flat top, it is a Japanese oriented ambiance. The food was very good so no complaints from anyone at our table. I'm usually not a hibachi kinda girl, but I loved my recent dining experience here. The food was great and the service was quick. I asked for extra sauces and they were at my table swiftly. This is a very high energy environment with friendly staff. Be mindful that it does get pretty hot and you will leave smelling like food, but it's worth it. read more

Tonight's experience was great! Chef Estella was truly talented, and you could tell the different flavors of each item. My wife ordered the Hibachi Chicken with white rice and I ordered the cold-water lobster tail, scallops and shrimp with chicken fried rice. The sunset over the St Lucie was incredible and the A/C system has been updated (no ducting). You need to visit and we are glad we had. read more

Was in the area and wanted the good taste of Benihana went and ordered the steak entrée, which did not disappoint--cooked perfectly and full of flavor. I also tried the seasonal pumpkin margarita, but it didn't have much of a pumpkin taste, which was a bit disappointing, especially given the $17 price tag. It tasted more like apple than pumpkin. I sat downstairs where they don't cook in front of you like the traditional hibachi experience, but they do make sushi right at the bar, which was still fun to watch. The service was great overall, but next time I might skip the pumpkin margarita. read more

We have been coming to Benihana for years for every kind of occasion. They did an amazing job celebrating my nephews birthday and making the show special for my nephews and nieces. Our server Aaron was excellent at his job and very efficient with all our requests and accommodating our larger party filled with babies and young kids. The eating area was comical due to the clear plastic air management and the kitchen rags stuffed into the edges of the vent hoods to prevent condensation from dripping on people dining. After 2 visits to this Benihana and an equally depressing meal at the Benihana in Boca Raton I have to say we are moving on. I remember a time when Benihana was a real treat and the food was delicious with attractive exterior and interior decor. Used to love Benihana. Like sears, Steak & Ale, and other notable chains from the past, I believe Benihana's days are soon over. For us, we have had our last Hibachi meal at this restaurant chain. The reason for 2 stars instead of one is because of the service at this particular location. The service was fantastic with nothing negative to note. I've tried Benihanas all over the United States and none compare to the quality, staff, and environment that this location has. Starting with the drinks, the Blue Ocean, is a delicious. We also ordered the Tiger drink with casamigos, wow was that tasty. Our server, Celina, was great! She made our group feel welcomed and really took care of us. Our chef, Estella cooked some of the best food I've had at Benihanas in my 25 years of coming here. I ordered the Benihana Excellence, the thin cut of tender steak melt covered in teriyaki sauce melted in my mouth. 10/10 you gotta order it! Manager came out to lobby and was rude and couldn't have cared less. We were told we got there after 15 minute window and were bumped. This was also told to other people waiting. We had proof from our gps that we arrived at 5:52. They overbooked reservations and didn't care. We were there for a child's birthday celebration and it put a real damper on things. After we were seated waitress was prompt to take drink and dinner orders but the chef took a long time to arrive. This place was a huge disappointment and for the money we spent even more-so. Benihana is a spot to celebrate. Literally, every table there was celebrating a birthday. It's a fun experience if you've never done Hibachi before. We were a group of 13, so we had to split between 2 tables. That wasn't such a big deal. We got served pretty quickly. However, things were messed up, and orders were not taken correctly, maybe because it was so loud. They even started getting annoyed with us when we were trying to correct what was wrong with the order. The drinks were absolutely phenomenal, especially the purple one. But that's where we draw the line. Most of the people at our party got really sick with stomach issues. It was everyone who ate the chicken, unfortunately. We think it was bad. The prices are also quite high, and our bill was astronomical and didn't include tip. We were kind of surprised since typically, they add tip for parties of 8 or more. This is fun if you've never done it before. However, the food is underwhelming and service was just subpar. If you're really in the mood for hibachi or sushi, try a mom and pop local spot! read more

We haven't been in years a friend recently told us the one in Stuart is great so we decided to try it again. The parking is horrendous, sort of shaped like a z...you can only go one way down and reverse or k-turn your way back out. We parked by the entrance curbside like others. We opted for the bar rather than the hibachi seating which was very loud. Downstairs is freezing perhaps to keep upstairs as comfortable as possible with the smoke n added heat. They offer a pretty extensive happy hour menu from 3-6 M-Fri with both drinks and appetizers. They are currently running a great special $39 for a 5 course meal. Mushroom soup was a simple but too salty broth, and salad fresh with choice of ginger or yum yum sauces. Pork gyoza and dragon roll for appetizers. The pork gyoza was odd, so much filler it barely tasted or had the consistency of meat, dragon roll was decent. I had the hibachi steak and hubs had the hibachi shrimp. Both entrees came with sautéed onions and zucchini, mine also had mushrooms. A bit under-seasoned, you're relying on the sauces to add any sort of flavor. Shrimp was a nice portion but pretty small and steak was tender. The chicken fried rice I thought was better, barely heated through it also lacked any flavor with overcooked egg and chicken pieces. This food was terrible for the price. I spent over $50 for 1 meal. The habatichi noodles was a tiny portion with a sauteed onion..no other vegetables!! The spring rolls looked like they came from frozen food aisle at Walmart. The shrimp tempora was so bad I counldn't eat it. Finding a good sushi restaurant in Martin County is not easy. Finding a really bad sushi place is the exact opposite. We should have known better but in our quest for good sushi we decided to give Benihana a try. This was a huge mistake . If you like KRAB ( artificially colored oversalted fake crab) and Cream Cheese on and in everything then Benihana is the place to go. The ambience is off putting, the service is slow and amateurish, and the entrance to the restaurant is dirty, messy and reminded us of a Greyhound Bus terminal...Complete with passengers. We had a 6:15 reservation for family birthday . we arrived in 2 groups but all on time. we were not seated until 7:15. First time I checked with hostess she said we would be seated next. But they continued to seat other parties. I checked with hostess again and she said we did not arrive together and the manager would decide when they wanted to seat parties and that it didn't matter that we had the reservation. The hostess clearly hates her job and made that our problem. When she couldn't locate our reservation, I looked around at the empty restaurant and asked if we actually even needed one, and asked if she could seat us without one. After several eye rolls and huffs, she agreed to put us at a table. Started off on the wrong foot but we were all still determined to have a good time. Our waitress was friendly and the chef engaging enough, but was sadly disappointed with how far the quality of food has fallen.
