Hibachi is one of my all time favorites but it's not an ideal dinner idea when you are in a rush but that's where Hibachi Express comes in clutch! If there was a rating for less than 1 star this place deserves it. I ordered the Hibachi Steak and Hibachi Shrimp via Doordash. I'm not sure what people are used to eating here and rating it 5 stars but they're taste buds are horribly off. I requested fried rice, not halfway done brown rice with grayish meat passed off as steak. The shrimp taste is even more off, not to mention the pure blandness of the dish as a whole. I've never been so disappointed in a meal not to mention the cost of the meal that I'm now throwing in the garbage so I can cook something to rid my mouth of this taste I never want to experience again. These 4 and 5 star reviews are unbelievable. I should have walked out the minute I walked in and an unpleasant smell hit me. This place has a dirty bar smell that made me nauseous. Absolutely disgusting. The cook was coughing on all the food while he was cooking and didn't even attempt to cover his mouth. We asked for a side salad and they charged for nothing but lettuce and 2 slices of cucumbers ( I did receive my money back for this). The establishment was also not very clean- surfaces were sticky and sauce dispenser top was so dirty - it had black streaks everywhere. The food was also not great- we ordered a number 4 (steak hibachi) and a number 12.(filet lignin, chicken and shrimp hibachi) both with "fried rice". The portions were good and acceptable. However, the food is bland, the shrimp was over cooked and the "fried rice" was just white rice with soy sauce. When I told them I didn't receive fried rice, the waitress mentioned their fried rice was just white rice with egg- mine didn't even have the egg. Absolutely will not return. They are so kind and easy to talk to. They built a little tunnel out of wood because of COVID so tonight I walked in (with my mask) and they have plexiglass separating the restaurant from the customers. This is the first time in years I received shrimp that was not deveined. So poop shrimp is what they serve. which is weird the pics are all cleaned shrimp. This restaurant is near my house and other stores that I frequent. I decided to give then another chance even though I was sorely dissappointed previously. I ordered two "can't screw it up" items. Paid. Sat down. Got one of my items. Finished it. I am currently watching all five employees on their smart phone. Ten minutes later, including an employee being three feet away to fill his drink, no one has checked on me. I am literally the only customer in the building....and THAT should have been a big enough sign to indicate they weren't worth another try. YES, it's true. You get what you pay for, and this place should try giving it away. Granted, we only had hibachi, one shrimp - one steak. But you only get one chance in the restaurant business. Fool me once! On advice of a friend (never again) we ordered takeout, 3/24/20. Served in white styro-foam containers, the vegetables were very few and very terrible, covered with worse unseasoned so-called fried rice. Greasy, mushy, (not sticky - there is a difference) with small yellow gobs of what might have been egg substitute. The whole container was packed with this - the cheapest ingredient. The steak was billed as rib-eye, and may have been at one time, and was over done. The shrimp were decent size and done but grilled is questionable. It seems that these so-called hibachi places are springing up all over the Port St. Lucie area, and it is now caveat emptor. There are some that are very good, and many, like this one, are not. Since we have no idea who is writing the 5 star reviews for 1 star places, it seems the only way is to take a chance with a small order, and when you find a real 4-5 star, stick with them. read more

Great place for hibachi and/or sushi without all the spectacle & show of a sit down hibachi restaurant at less than half the price of the 'sit down at the grill' hibachi restaurant. Food tastes just as good as that of another local PSL/SLW hibachi restaurant....but with the ambience of a Chinese take out place, which is a great change of pace for food this good. Choice of sodas in bottles (great for to go orders) or sit -in self serve soda fountain. It ain't much to look at but the food is outstanding! Owners & Staff were very friendly & considerate. We were in there for a late meal about 9:20 on a Saturday night. The owner came out & checked on us twice, and even offered us free miso soup to try. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who doesn't care for the gimmick of the show and the price of the 'sit in' or anyone who doesn't have the time to go across town for it. I expected (and would've been happy with) a cheap, typical fast food-style meal. Wrong I was! After getting home, I was mad that I didn't order more! The food was absolutely delicious. Perfectly prepared. Steak was super tender and seasoned. Good size shrimp, hibachi grilled and tasty. The fried rice was the star for me, authentic tasting sticky rice done right.
