Since I was home all the time and wearing masks outside all the time, Covid inspired me to do something I always wanted to do. I got adult braces and now am finally fixing my bottom crooked teeth! Going to Dr. Thomas was a no brainer based on reviews alone. But a friend also recommended this office as she used them for her adult braces too. The service and staff is top notch and you can trust yourself or your child will be in the best hands. Another interesting thing about Covid is that it also had me re-think my lifestyle and I decided to relocate to Arizona just 5 months into my treatment. I didn't think saying goodbye would be so hard. When you find a great service provider you want to stick with them! We never saw the same orthodontist or tech more than once. I don't know if they use random per diem orthodontists or moonlighting residents but the orthodontists don't seem to have much of a role. They come for 3 minutes and the tech does everything. 2. They are not careful or maybe it's a lack of skills. Something as basic as scraping off excess glue/cement so it doesn't puncture/irritate the gums when putting on orthodontic device. 3. There is no one on call for after hours at this practice. No one answers the on call service. They just don't pick up. You're out of luck if anything goes wrong after hours. 4. Difficult scheduling appointments. You must make your appointment weeks in advance. If you need to reschedule for an unexpected reason, there are no available appointments. They are also always running late. You wait in the waiting room, then wait again in the chair. Clearly overbooked all the time.

I thought this was a senseless step in the process that would add an extra 1.5 to 2 years. Dr Gemmi agreed a removed a few teeth that the spreaders were supposed to give space so they would naturally fall out. She had already had to have a few teeth removed to make room for the teeth to have room. Great no nonsense orthodontists that don't need to add the extra cost for additional profit. Also a great lesson for my daughter to shop around and get several opinions as even respected orthodontists would recommend senseless treatment to make additional profit.
