The owner herself did my hair, and right from the start, it was unprofessional. She didn't even put the drape on me--she told me to do it myself. When I specifically told her that I don't like toner and didn't want it, she pushed it on me anyway. Against my better judgment, I ended up letting her do the toner, and it completely ruined the color I had in mind. Instead of the bright blonde I asked for, the toner made my hair look dull, flat, and ashy. It destroyed the existing blonde I had before and left me feeling so disappointed. When I expressed my concerns, she did not care at all. She didn't offer to fix it, add highlights, or do anything to make it right. Her attitude was dismissive, her energy was bad, and the entire experience felt unprofessional. I left feeling frustrated, unheard, and with hair I absolutely hate. I will never return to this salon, and I do not recommend it to anyone. I'm leaving the blonde picture of my highlights that I always have achieved with other stylist with no toner and the dull toner version from my experience at this salon.

I'm furious I even paid for it. I feel bad because maybe the rest of the workers are talented, the place seemed nice enough. Steven had good reviews so I was excited. Wrong. Every time I walked out out with a DIFFERENT tone. One time I left with a purple hue. A few times I saw a brown stripe around my head that looked so bad in pics. How?! She refused to paint the foils CLOSER to my head. In tears I came back & told Tosha my roots were too dark. I left the salon LOOKING like you're overdue for a root touch. She kept pushing me to go brunette because it was more convenient for her. I've gotten highlights since 1999. She told me my natural color was too dark, to go blonde & that's why I turn brassy. She said she asked ALL the other stylists if they could help me, but they all REFUSED. "This salon just does a more natural rooted look and what I'm asking for is outdated & from the 90s." Not only did she insult me, but she fired me as a client and canceled my follow- up appointment. She told me she was actually undercharging me and not charging me ENOUGH. Tasha is very nice which is why I kept giving her another chance.. So now I am back to driving two hours to Destin to see my old stylist. If you can't do blonde well, then SAY SO when a new client sits in your chair.

And the price wasn't outrageous, I got a wash and layered trim for $45. I was expecting it to be way more for the upscale vibes in the room. Everyone I talked to was very friendly and the bathrooms were super clean. They do take your credit card info when you book an appointment- but that is fair because you are making a COMMITMENT. When I came in, I had the most anxiety, but she sat me down and made me feel comfortable and at ease. She made sure to listen to all of my concerns with my hair and my growing out gray journey. I scheduled an appointment for Balayage after she assured me could deal with my hair type. My hair came out not even close to the picture or Balayage technique. It's just stringy yellow highlights. After agreeing with me that it was off , Kim asked me to go the next day to fix it. NO problem.... then the next day she text me that she's cancelling because she charges $100 and hour and my hair has already used a lot of her product and time . I don't mind that my hair was going to need to be fixed , but I do mind the unprofessionalism of her not fixing what she did wrong because she would lose money. What about me ? It costs me time AND she put highlights at the tippy too of my head (opposite of Balayage!!) and now I have to pay to have it fixed. She decided to refund my money - but I caution anyone with actual curly hair to see her pictures and notice they aren't really Hispanic people with thick hair. Also notice in my photo the blow dry job !! 255$ and that's the blow dry job ... looks nothing like anything she's done to anyone else on these photos .... if you mess something up, YOU need to make it right . Obviously my hair type (regular curly Dominican hair) is out of her expertise and that's why she cancelled. Caution to others with curly hair .
