I asked if someone would show me any of them and they explicitly said no. But I could call with questions. Additionally, I expressed that I had pain in my ankle and hip. Past physical therapists said the hip pain was because of compensation from my ankle. Dr Stein it likely was something different but gave no recommendations for how to address it independently. Just come back in a month if it still bothers you. Stay away!

As a result of the surgery I experienced a septic staph aureus infection of the blood stream. The infection was induced in the surgery . I was readmitted to the hospital through the ER where a second surgery was necessary to ":wash out": the original site. I was in the hospital for another 5 days with high dose intravenous anti biotics . The antibiotics were continued at home for 6 weeks. But again the infection came back after the antibiotic therapy at home ended,. Again back in the hospital for another 5 days and another "wash out ": surgery followed by IV antibiotics which continued for several months. Now in 2025 I learn that the base of the fusion did not fuse to the bone. It came loose. Now I have to go back for a fusion "revision" surgery with a year of recovery. A horrible experience that continues .

A friend of mine recommended ROSM in McLean to diagnose neck and arm pain following a Feb 2020 car…read moreaccident. However, the first available appointment was late April. I chose another pain center, National Spine and Pain, in the same area. During three visits I have never met the doctor, although visit records claimed that I had. The office experience was impersonal, waiting then rushing through the appointment. A neurologist diagnosed injuries requiring neck spinal fusion surgery. It stabilized my neck but left me with chronic pain. This time, I was able to make timely with ROSM. Each of my three visits so far have been directly with Dr. Imran Siddiqui, with assistance from attentive PAs. Dr. Siddiqui's manner is holistic and empathetic towards my pain. His approach itself reduced my anxiety. His careful diagnosis and treatment of my neck pain has produced results. The communication between me and the office via the patient portal is very efficient. I get a response from the receptionist Miss. Kaitlyn Lee within 24 hours. She also replies promptly to emails. Most practices take days to respond and sometimes require repeat requests. Kaitlyn is very personable and helpful for all patients there. Finally, I have never met any medical assistants who are as kind and understanding as Chawdry. I told him that he seems born to be a medical professional. He checked on me several times in a very caring way while I was waiting to see Dr. Siddiqui to make sure I was okay. He apologized for wait, even though it wasn't long. It was the opposite of my experience with the National Spine and Pain Center, where no one checked on me even though I was waiting for a long time. Whenever I visit ROSM, I feel that my health and wellbeing matter to each of the people in the office. Not only the doctor but also the staff members of ROSM empathy and care for the patient in their medical practices. I wish all other medical professionals would visit ROSM and learn from them how to manage a caring practice.

I had an appointment with Dr. John Ferrell on September 12, 2024, at the ROSM Washington, DC office…read morebut left before seeing him because I was not seen in a timely manner and left after an inappropriate time to wait. This is the second time I have experienced this problem with ROSM including previously in July with another doctor in the practice. Both times I was taken to an examining room in a timely manner and was left to wait in the room. After over 30 minutes, I left the room and spoke to one of the staff to ask if there was a problem. Both times I was told that the doctor was with another patient and would be in to see me in a while. My first complaint, therefore, is that it is not the patient's responsibility to determine why there is a delay. The doctor should instruct his/her staff to let the patient know that there is a delay and what are the patient's alternatives. Both times the staff person apologized for which I appreciate their apologies. An apology by a staff person, however, does not indicate that there will be any change in how waiting patients are informed of delays. On September 12, 2024, the staff person told me that the doctor was in a room with no clock, which is not an excuse but demonstrates poor planning by the doctor. Therefore, my second complaint is that the ROSM Washington, DC office is poorly managed and fails to properly plan appointment times for patients. I will not be returning to this practice for any reason.

Thankfully, I took note of the huge RED cap on the bottle that said "not for pregnant women" and waited to talk to my ob/midwife providers. They were SHOCKED he prescribed it, because it has a medicine that is used to induce labor or cause a miscarriage and would have likely be catastrophic for me. I alerted the office to this and the doctor called me and said he wouldn't prescribe it anymore, but that he had been to pregnant women for years. He is lucky they haven't been sued and I am worried about any women who have faced trauma because of this choice. I will not be returning for my followup.

Dr. K performed my knee surgery and has been a great ortho doc for follow-up and future options for my other knee (my legs aren't straight (genetics)). His super knowledgable and does not recommend unnecessary tests, surgery, meds, etc. He will even go so far as to recommend physical therapy before advising on injections, surgery, etc. He also asks what you prefer and gives the options/possible outcomes with those options. He listens and gives his professional medical option after he hears what's going on with you. He also performed a rotator cuff surgery on my shoulder. You should just bend it. Come on now." (He proceeded to drop the leg, as a test.) Or heard of one using similarly rough to a woman with spine issues. Is this his norm? Both are black women who required extensive surgeries/care, which were delayed by his poor recognition of clear issues and lack of ...something. Similar to another poster, I spent around 15 minutes with Chris per session and even less when he was late (often 10-15 min after my appt time) getting me from the waiting room. He'd juggle 3 patients at once (nobody else at the clinic did this) and even when he didn't have this many patients I was alone while he was on the other side of the clinic or he just disappeared completely. When I brought up concerns about pain (not muscle pain or soreness), he'd just brush off my concerns and rush through my questions. Older reviews mentioned how friendly the pts are but this was not my experience. Chris was nice at first but then was checked out. Most of the time he was either glued to his computer looking at restaurant menus or chatting with his friends who came to see him. The final straw was hearing him make completely inappropriate comments.

With that said, my begrudging attendance at physical therapy is not so bad here because I know my PT is focused on helping my physical issues improve. I have worked with Kira while attending sessions, and she is always guiding me to do the best exercises for my post-surgeries' ailments and weaknesses. It's always the little exercises done the right way that make a world of difference. As time has passed, she has only encouraged me to push a little harder every time. I also appreciate that the focus here depends on the patient/client needs and interests. Some PT's simply don't have the ability to do this. Here, they watch you carefully and cautiously and record everything possible. They make you so Home exercises and emphasize the importance. They change weekly and daily sessions' exercises and therapy as needed, and they know, because they are asking the questions to be asked as related to your lifestyle needs and goals. They make sure you are being truthful because they'll watch you in the exercises and check your strength themselves, as well as testing and pushing your muscles and movement themselves. I am so happy to have gone to PhysioDC, but happier that I don't need to go anymore!
