I had Ben Franklin plumbing come out to snake my sewer pipe as it was plugged When he was done he put the camera in to see where the problem was He found it and it was tree roots He scoped the camera and marked the spot I had Volusia county come out to check out to see if it was their problem or mine they found my lateral 25' from where Ben Franklin marked it. The plumber, Sean, arrived at my house on time. The issue was a water leak in my garage originating from an Omni cartridge filter housing and water pipe connections positioned at the plumbing entry point by the garage door. The leak is dripping and spraying causing damage to the wall and baseboards. Additionally, a large continuous pool of water is accumulating on the floor. The plumber suggested that I purchase a new water filter apparatus and then cut the two connection pipes and solder in the new water filter unit. The plumber then charged me $80.00 for the service call and left. As the plumber left, I realized that this plumber did not solve any problem as my water was still leaking and damage was continuing. The plumber did not offer any solutions with the exception of a $6000.00 home water filtration system or for me to try and find the same unit at a store or online. Of course, if I were to be successful finding the water filter assembly, I would still need to contact a plumber again to install it. This service call lasted only a few minutes. Why did this plumber not just bypass or remove the damaged $25.00 water filter assembly? Why did this plumber not stop the leak? He did absolutely nothing except collect payment and left me in the same position as I was before contacting Ben Franklin Plumbing. I am now attempting to find another plumber to fix the leak! read more

No-show!!!! I had a broken valve causing flooding in our condo unit. In order to stop the flow, had to turn off water to 18 units. Called Ben Franklin's after-hours service at 7:20pm and was assured they had a tech available and would be out between 7:30pm and midnight. No contact, no show. I called again at 11:10 to confirm and was told it still showed as scheduled but could not guarantee. End result, no one showed, no one called until 7am the next morning. I called Daytona Plumbing and they came out at 8am. 18 of my neighbors went over 12-hours with no water because of poor service and no-care attitude of Ben Franklin. No such thing as after-hours service. read more

Came home from work to a flooded garage. Leak in wall was literally gushing. Called four plumbers for an after-hours emergency service and the Ben Franklin team came through for us. We were lucky enough to have Juan Salas be our technician. Juan was very knowledgeable, efficient and professional. 20 minutes after his arrival our leak was fixed and were able to "have our house back" and turn the water back on. The service was a bit expensive, but that's standard for after-hours work and in this case it was well worth it. No one wants to call a plumber but when you do it's nice to have a live person to talk with on the phone that is courteous and has real answers for when someone will come out, "...to see what's going on and how much it is going to be." Then, BF Plumbers show up on the scheduled day and at the scheduled time, fix the problem and charge you exactly the same amount as the estimate. How great is that? We had a kitchen sink and faucet installed by Benjamin Franklin last Saturday. The rep. we spoke with to make our appointment was very polite and friendly. We called late Thursday afternoon, was able to make an appointment for Saturday between 8-12. We received a text confirmation of our appointment. On Saturday at 7:45, we received a text with the picture of our technician stating he was on his way. Our technician arrived promptly at 8:00, he was very knowledgeable, respectful, and polite. He ended up having to replace our existing knobs and redo the plumbing under the sink, but explained what work needed to be done and why. i wish all companies would conduct themselves as Benjamin Franklin plumbing!! read more

No response from management on my complaint of overpricing. I went to the local office to voice my complaint. The person I spoke to took my information and said she would e-mail her manager about the situation. Never heard back from them so a few days later I called and she said she would e-mail him again. I still have not heard from them. $195.00 (that was with a discount) to replace a toilet fill valve that costs less than $20.00 and takes less than 10 minutes to replace is way overpriced. I have no complaints with the plumber himself, he was competent and very friendly, but he was already here to install a kitchen faucet I had purchased (reason for the "discount"), so I had him replace the toilet fill valve while he was here and that is the charge for it. I didn't realize when I agreed to the charge how little the part cost and how long it takes to replace. This company does not even care enough about their customers to reply to complaints.
