I also thought it would be good to have an "in" just in case. Unfortunately, my experience didn't go well. To be honest, I have a fear of going to doctors and avoid it as much as possible. I arrived early for my appointment as instructed. The staff at the front desk were courteous and professional. About 10 minutes before my scheduled time a nurse escorted me to the room and took my vitals. When she was done, she said the doctor would be in shortly. 35 minutes later - no doctor. The room was cold, my fingers were numb, and I had to get back to work so I walked over to the front desk and told them I was leaving. The next day I received a call asking me if I wanted to reschedule. I said no because I was afraid the doctor would be a no show again and I would find another doctor. Later that day I received another call asking me the same thing, and I gave the same answer. This time the scheduler told me there were two other doctors in the network at the same location and she could book me an appointment with one of them. Unfortunately, the soonest appointment isn't until the end of July but she said she would also put me on the wait list. I appreciate that she went the extra mile to help me. I went from doctor to doctor and and never got answers, most of the time they told me I was 'imagining' things or just 'depressed' and brushed me off because 'I was too young to be having these problems.' I was finally lead to Dr. Shirazi and flew to California to meet with her. Dr. Shirazi listened to my concerns, she ran tests and researched my complaints and got back to me with a clear diagnosis. I ended up needing surgery and of course I choose Dr. Shirazi to do the procedure. The surgery was a success! : ) Dr. Shirazi eased my concerns by answering all of my questions prior to surgery.
