It's very hard to find a doctor in our busy world who takes time with a patient and looks at the whole picture , has wonderful diagnostic skills, elegant and compassionate bedside manner. Once I was checking in with the receptionist, I appreciated that she told me ahead of time that there will be a 15 minutes delay, then she told me where to go and such. The checking in was pretty quick and fast. I also appreciated that the Mammography Technologist named Ivory M. was patient with me even on a busy long morning. I felt so good in fact, that I had to be careful because I did not feel like I had surgery. I'm 73. Did I have doubts? Absolutely. Who in their right mind doesn't? But, I knew I had to make a decision. And, with the help of my daughter, Dr. Ross's nurse, Ki, and Dr. Ross, I did. Before my surgery, I had a prostate exam and cystoscopy. Neither experience is exactly what I call fun. I also had a catheter tube inserted in my penis for a month. I'll let you figure out how much fun that was. As you may be aware, when your prostate really starts to act up, the bigger danger is it can cause great injury to your kidneys. Which can lead you down a road of no return. That helped me put all the discomfort and pain into perspective. Your experience will be different from mine, of course. But I have to say that Dr. Ross is an excellent surgeon! and I hope this message makes it easier for you to take action on your behalf and feel confident about the decision you make.

She is dismissive, arrogant, unwilling to engage in patient care, and behind on the latest research. How does one treat a cancer patient with such callousness? Dr. Sachdeva stepped in to take care of my oversight, which meant adding me into his schedule before his full day started and continuing to provide professional, informative support until I was able to get through it. During that time, I felt the most vulnerable and fragile, and his steady, calm presence gave me trust. Thank you Dr Sachdeva. I also want to thank the team of radiologists. Jenny, Trey, and Robin are all so positive, speedy, and professional. A great team!
