I ordered a cord of wood. Paid in cash as they expect. That's fine. They delivered a little more than half a cord and refused to deliver the rest. despite it already being paid for. When they dropped the firewood, I told the driver it didn't look like a full cord. He insisted it was. When I stacked it, it was quite clear it was slightly more than a half cord. I called, was asked to send pics and measurements. I did. it was clear. Chris's response? I've been in business 35 years I don't make mistakes. And he's yelling. Because that's what you do to a dissatisfied customer. You yell . And you dont correct your error. You hang up on the customer. And in later convos he denies his earlier statements. Gaslighting. And yelling. Over a half a cord of wood. Cheating a customer for $130. Over his mistake. Class act. (Insert eye roll here) Avoid this guy. His ego makes him difficult to work with. Hired them July 2016 for a smaller job ($5k) for a border of ferns.He did not use new plants but transplanted plants from somewhere else ( weeds and all). Within 2 weeks the ferns looked dead. (I'll spare you the photos. Nursery owner told me the plants were in shock and would revive next year just be patient. I told him I'd pay when the ferns bloomed. I did wait a year and paid August 2017. In meantime he filed a lien against my house cause I wouldn't pay for ferns that looked dead for a year. There are a lot of reputable nurseries out here so choose one of them instead.

Anyway, I needed to have a tree removed that was nearly completely dead. The Trees on my property in East Quogue haven't been attended to for at least 30 years. I called TLC having seen their equipment at another location and scheduled for Paul to come and have a look. There were about 20 trees on the property at the time. Paul and I took a walk around the property and he discussed with me the things that he felt would be good to do. He was thorough and totally non pressure. It was clear that if I just wanted the one tree down that was fine, but as I thought about it I began to picture how much better my property would look with a high canopy of trees rather than the low canopy that I currently had which was not especially attractive and also had the effect of making my house rather dark. In addition it would benefit the health of my trees. I scheduled for TLC to remove three trees which were in very poor shape and to trim up all the remaining trees. The job was done on time as promised in 3 visits. The TLC crew knows what they are doing! They were careful to trim the trees in the proper fashion, in fact they were pretty incredible to see at work...have a look at the attached picture! I enthusiastically recommend TLC.
