My daughter had a great experience at Bennets Ski School. She learned so much about waterskiing, jumping, and plans to attend next year.

This is amazing! I brought my son to this ski school about 30 years ago! He had a great time and learned so much!

Just ask them what they have to offer for when you want to book your event. I did a quick booking so there wasn't a lot to choose from since it was last minute. I was still happy with what they were able to offer us for a small company Christmas party. We got to make a resin Christmas tree with shard glass. I mean the amount of options were mind blowing. I just wanted to keep making more and more but I did two different ones, three if you count my sons but he pretty much was able to follow along with the directions and the only help was when we were mixing the resin. The owner was our instructor and she was very patient with us and helped us with our visions. Our event was at her studio and it can hold up to about 10 with some space. If you have a larger group please let them know and they will advise what can be worked out. They don't just do resin they also have paint, jewelry making, mosaic and other things just ask them. This place is a great way to learn about different art creations and techniques. They offer some workshops you can sign up to for. Just visit their website to see what has been added. I had a great experience and it was super easy to understand and learn. Just check out her website for additional information

My only snag was that I was a little behind in being worked on bc they didn't have someone prepared to do makeup but once that got settled it was smooth sailing. I made an appointment online, but I was instructed that it's better to call them directly because I wasn't in their system. Fortunately I was still able to be seen when I came in. I wanted a silk press and the instructors are making efforts to ensure all students know how to do a proper silk press. Taya was my student stylist and it was her first day back in the floor. Poor girl had me as a client to welcome her back lol. My hair is thick and plentiful! It took some time to get the blow dry right but fortunately the instructor was there to provide ample guidance. Taya's flat iron skills were already on point, so fortunately that part was smooth sailing. All in all my hair came out amazing and I left a satisfied client. After tackling my hair, Taya should be ready to handle a silk press on any 4C girlie with thick hair!

I decided i was going to get a hair cut for my birthday. I went to the vanguard school of…read morecosmetology because i had a friend who was just about to graduate from there. I also had been previously and really enjoyed it. My appointment was at 9:30 am that is the earliest appointment they have which is great for me since it gives me time after dropping my daughter off at school. With the appointment being this early i didnt have to wait long before my friend pulled me back to start working with my hair. At the vanguard school since the stylists working on you are still students they have to consult an instructor before they can start working. I dont mind this because sometimes the instructors have a little bit different idea of how to get the style idea just to the customers specifications. In my case they decide to dry cut my fringe first so they could make sure they were what i wanted them to look like. After that she washed my hair with a paul mitchell product for moisturizing my hair. Then she blow dried my hair straight and trimmed my very long hair. All in all my appointment took about two hours but i didnt feel that long since the atmosphere is so laid back and the students are fun to talk to. They are also reasonably priced since, again, its students doing the work. My hair cut was 20 dollars. At a professional salon it wouldve been way higher and from experience i liked the style less done at that salon. I will always recommend going to the vanguard school for any type of hair treatment. They always do a good job and i can promise i will go there in the future for my haircuts.

There were quite a few things I witnessed that were not good buisness ethics, including being extremely understaffed. I think that if the school was ran better, they would have less complaints and more return clients. I don't agree with giving discounts in exchange for good reviews on social media, bc it doesn't allow potential guests to get a true idea of services, etc. and in a city like Baton Rouge, where so many people have to be spend thrift, they might feel as though they are wasting their money when they get to the school and it doesn't live up to the reviews people were "paid" in discounts to write. I would definitely recommend a phase 2 student if you decide to get any services here. I think the teacher who is in charge of that program is very hands on and involved with her students and that's why they are better equipped to handle more advanced colors and cuts. I wouldn't waste my time with any nail services. And I definitely would not get any facial waxing due to the unsanitary conditions in which the wax is kept. Seeing this was very alarming , bc as an educational institution teaching cosmetology they are supposed to uphold theirselves to a higher level of sanitation and disease control. Especially since they are supposed to be prepairing their students to obtain a cosmetology state license where knowledge of disinfecting and sanitation is needed in order to pass state board tests. Coming from a more progressive state where our Paul Mitchell Schools follow the culture where kindness is at the forefront, as well as strict state guidelines , I could not believe the conditions in which the nail/waxing/skincare room was kept or the behaviour of some of the staff. It is truly depressing that they would represent such an amazing company in a negative light, to where they must give discounts in exchange for positive reviews bc they have such a bad reputation and can't seem to bounce back from it. A disgrace to the Paul Mitchell Brand .
