My son hair turned out really good. I recommend. I'm thinking about going for myself as well.

My only snag was that I was a little behind in being worked on bc they didn't have someone prepared to do makeup but once that got settled it was smooth sailing. The students are truly aiming to give you the best results which I love. Would recommend if you want to pamper yourself for an affordable price.

I made an appointment online, but I was instructed that it's better to call them directly because I wasn't in their system. Fortunately I was still able to be seen when I came in. I wanted a silk press and the instructors are making efforts to ensure all students know how to do a proper silk press. Taya was my student stylist and it was her first day back in the floor. Poor girl had me as a client to welcome her back lol. My hair is thick and plentiful! It took some time to get the blow dry right but fortunately the instructor was there to provide ample guidance. Taya's flat iron skills were already on point, so fortunately that part was smooth sailing. All in all my hair came out amazing and I left a satisfied client. After tackling my hair, Taya should be ready to handle a silk press on any 4C girlie with thick hair!

The end result is ridiculous, and they charged me $31.00 for this. Here are the photos: http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/jenagbucket/IMG_4988_zpsevfdqhav.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/jenagbucket/IMG_4999_zpsjpy3osi5.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/jenagbucket/IMG_4995_zpsjabm49jw.jpg Of course I wanted my $31.00 back, but there are a few problems getting that to happen: the school's unprofressional attitude, and their practice of charging to fix the hair they ruined. They want the same people to fix my hair, which is unacceptable. The school tried to bring up that I signed a waiver for service. Waivers of liability are not enforced in Louisiana because of Articles 2004, 28, 29, 1918 and 1923 of the Louisiana Civil Code. They offered me a different service like a manicure or a facial as an alternative, but I do not want that because I feel their teaching methods are below standard. I want my $31.00 back because I don't think I should pay a company to ruin my hair, and I believe this is a reasonable request. I have filed complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and the Louisiana Attorney General's office. My friend's mother had to pay $100.00 to have my hair fixed. My next step is small claims court/legal action. My advice to you is to think, think, and think again about whether you want to trust them with your hair. BB

Burk is an AMAZING teacher who genuinely cares about each of his students learning and passing. I struggle in a class setting because I am pretty sure I have ADD. But I struggle even more with online classes so I knew I needed the class setting. Burk teaches in a way that is very engaging. He has a very calculated way of teaching designed to give you mental breaks (telling stories, cracking jokes,) which prevents you from just feeling overwhelmed and spacing out. I really enjoyed his classes. He offers a two week course Mon-Fri 9a-1pm monthly. You can sit through it Again for free for up to 3 months. I sat through it twice because both of my boys got sick and derailed my study time. I was thankful for the opportunity to attend twice. In addition to learning the ins & outs of Louisiana and National Real Estate, he had professionals sit in to show us a mock closing, and talk about home inspections. He also offers night classes. Not only does he offer Baton Rouge classes but also Lafayette, Lake Charles, Mandeville, Monroe, and Metairie. I came for Louisiana Real Estate but he offers many courses including Mississippi Real Estate, Mortgage Origination, Home Inspection, Residential Appraiser, Insurance, Auctioneering, and Louisiana Broker. His wife Lisa teaches the math portions and she's wonderful, she also offers a math tutoring class monthly. I can't wait to pass my test and get my License! Thanks to Burk I'm convinced this will happen sooner than later. When you arrive, pass the building take the first right and park in the lot BEHIND the building (behind comic store.) He also has a computer lab available to all students to use all day during the week. This was extremely helpful for studying. Thanks Burk!
