I am writing this review as I hope it will help someone to be much more warry in the future when dealing with this dealership. I bought a Nissan Sentra back in September 2025. I had just moved back to the USA and needed a reliable car quickly. They sold me this Nissan for $15,000 out the door. It had 79,000 miles on it. Now 6 months later and 6,000 miles later I am trying to sell this same car back and they only offered me $4,000!!! Blue Book was $6,000. Not only did I initially get scammed for the price I bought this car, but when I was trying to sell it back they did not even give me Blue Book value. Glad to see this is how you treat Military Vets. If a lower review were possible I would have used it. I recommend staying far away from this place. Took a truck in by tow truck for a oil pressure code, got a repair done that may or may not have been needed and told you have some oil pressure issues you need to have looked at when you get home, 500 miles away. An hour later the motor starts knocking and loosing power. Then after asking the service manager to speak to a general manager or owner he claims "the buck stops with him". Spoke to another manager in sales? He was supposed to get the owner back in touch but has gone radio silent. They even put it on the paperwork to drive the truck with an oiling issue. read more

If a lower review was available I would have put it in. Recently my Chevy Equinox broke down on I-95 by St. Marys. I had it towed to Bennett Chevrolet. WORST mistake I have ever made. I was 4 hours away from where I live and after conducting a check on TUESDAY, the service manager, Andy Bob, told me "good news and bad news. The bad news it is the water pump, the good news is we have one in stock and it could be done by the next afternoon - Wed." I told him okay and proceeded to go to Enterprise and rent a car. I also told him my days off are Tues and Thurs and I would drive up on Thurs to pick it up. "Definitely will be done by then" he said. I called then Wed afternoon. At this point he said "we just got the part in and he will work on it after lunch". What? He told me the part was in stock but okay. No word so I called back on Thurs. SAME answer. "Oh the mechanic is just starting to work on it, definitely should be done this afternoon". No word that day. I called Friday morning and he said the mechanic JUST started working on it and it will be done this afternoon. At this point my husband called Friday afternoon as again we had not heard anything. This Andy Bob told him at THAT point that he pulled the mechanics off my car because he had seven cars in front of him and it wasn't even close to being finished. I then had to extend my rental yet again. By Monday my husband was furious and left at 4am to drive up there. This Andy Bob then told him it hadn't been worked on. Well my husband, having driven hours up there said he's not leaving. They THEN informed him it hadn't been worked on AT ALL and they could complete by noon. He was then informed at noon that it wouldn't be done until 3pm. My husband was flabbergasted. He was THEN informed at 3:30 they had put it in without adjusting the timing belt accurately and would have to do it AGAIN. They then offered him a RENTAL CAR because they didn't think it would be done before they closed!!!!! "Oh you expect me to drive 4 hours back home and then take another day off tomorrow and drive 4 hours back to pick up the car IF and WHEN it gets done and then turn around and drive 4 hours back home?! " F-ing unbelievable!! I have never in my life had to deal with such an unorganized, imbecilic group of people in my life. I deal with the Chevrolet dealership where we live and have for the last 20 years gotten wonderful service, great managers who COMMUNICATE honestly and amazing customer service. At one point before all this happened I honestly thought about purchasing a new vehicle from Bennett but I would NEVER go back and NEVER recommend this place to anyone! read more

My husband purchased a truck from these guys based on my and my family's recommendation. After owning the truck for less than a year, it started making this horrible knocking sound from the engine. After finally getting a response, he dropped the truck off with them where they had it for a month. He called numerous times and could not get a call back. After I called to speak to the salesman that my family knows personally, we got a response that they fixed the truck and he could pick it up. Immediately after starting the truck he realized that the issue had not been fixed AND he found a dent and scratch at the hood of the truck caused by the dealership. The engine cover was also scratched. We had no choice but to keep the truck at that point because we were leaving that week for our wedding and then honeymoon. He has attempted over and over to call and they will not even answer the phone to him. I was advised that they have caller ID and can only assume that they are ignoring his calls. We have been nothing but kind and patient with this dealership and now we have no choice but to pursue further action on this them since they don't have the courtesy to respond to our calls. Went in for a oil change and they said they checked cabin filter and I said not to change and they broke fan twice. Left me outside for 1 hour in 90 degree heat because no staff or customers wore CDC ppe's. Went home and still not fixed? Calling service manager and taking to a another chevy dealer that know how or can fix. Glad their not doctors. Well I have to update my review. After contacting the Service manager and had a discussion. They fixed the fan and gave me a rental. I will upgrade review to 3 1/2 maybe 3 3/4 . read more

This review is for the service department. I made a appointment for a oil change on a company vehicle for 9 am. I was told it would be within a hour and half. So I decided to hang in the area instead of using the shuttle back to work that they provide. Around 1030 I received notification asking if I would want the air filters changed. Then approximately 1145 is when I left the dealership. For a oil change and 30 sec air filter change that was just way too long especially for a scheduled appointment. Suggestions- They have a lounge area with food and beverages while you wait. Hang in that area and take a nap. Moose out read more

I apologize for the long review, but please read about my experience here before ever going to this place. This is a review of the parts and service department. I lost my spare key for my 2018 Chevy Silverado, and came to this dealership to purchase a new key. The key itself was around $50 with a $20 charge to do a "code" lookup for the key. With tax, my total came out to around $80 to get a new key. I had to pay upfront, and willingly did so. When my new key came in a week later, I went to pick it up. The guy in the parts department asked if I had a push button ignition. I told him no, that's why I needed the key. He then walks out to my truck, and the new key I already paid $80 for does not work. He then proceeds to tell me I need to go to the service department to have it programmed. This is when I find out they tell me I have to pay $60 more to get my key programmed that I already paid for. That's over $140 for a single key that I thought i had already paid for. I refused to have them take advantage of me because this is absolutely fraud. When I told them I want my $80 back, they told me I cannot return the key, and told me it was my fault for not knowing to go to the service department in the first place to ask if I needed to get my key programmed before purchasing it. The guy in the service department named Howard then told me I was wasting his time by trying to argue with him. The guy in the parts department said they didn't mention the possibility of a programming fee at the beginning of all this because they are unable to tell if my key would have required this. So basically, if I don't pay them $60 more, I have wasted $80 on a useless key that doesn't work in my truck. I filed a complaint with General Motors, and I will update this review pending their response. Oh, and the spare key looks like some after market thing ordered off amazon. Not the original key with a Chevy emblem on it. On a second issue, my usb charger in my glovebox has not worked since purchasing the truck. I brought my truck here within the first year to have the issue covered under warranty. I was told they found no problems. Recently, I brought it back again to get fixed because my bumper to bumper warranty is almost expired. I physically showed Howard the problem. He blamed me not using a genuine apple charger for my phone. Luckily he had an iPhone, and brought his charger out to prove me wrong. Once again, the USB port did not work. I got told to bring it in over the weekend and got the run around. A second service rep had no idea of the issue I had when I brought it in at the scheduled time. Once again, I showed him personally of the issue. He then made me come back another day for an appointment to get it fixed. Finally, on the day it was supposed to be fixed, I pick it up from who else but Howard. He tells me there is nothing wrong. I told him that's not true because I literally showed him the issue less than a week ago. His response was that I needed to bring the truck in while the issue was occurring so the technicians could see the problem. This is what I did and proved the point to two service reps, including Howard himself. Upon threatening to contact GM, he has me talk to his service manager. At this point they tell me they inspected the wrong USB port (the ones in the center console instead of the glove box). I asked how that was possible because I showed two service reps the exact USB port and the exact problem I had. He offered to order the part I needed (which I got told came in while I was there to pick up my new key). They failed to call me when the part came in as promised. I believe they are trying to give me the run around so they can avoid replacing it for free under the warranty. I am supposed to drop off my truck Monday at noon to get this issue fixed. Due to the conflict over the key, I brought up them wasting my time over the USB port as well and questioned if it would be done correctly on my third attempt to get it fixed. Howard made an unprofessional comment about how I can watch them do the work if I don't believe they will get it done. At this point I'm afraid these people will cause some sort of damage to my truck because I'm standing my ground against them. I have to take time off work because quite frankly I don't trust these people not to do something malicious against me so I want watch then change out a USB port. Once again, I will update my review to reflect my experience Monday. Otherwise, it'll be another complaint to corporate GM. On the issue of my key, I hope GM corporate will give me some sort of assistance. Otherwise I will file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission for fraud which is ILLEGAL. Ideally, this dealership gives me my money back because I will never go here again. I would rather pay more somewhere else (yes, even $140 for a single key) at a place that is upfront, honest, and caring about the customer. read more

Fast turn around time from the Service Department and super helpful employees even on a busy day. Bennett was able to quickly tell me the issue with my car that another service center had misdiagnosed and returned to me still with issues. This place is God awful if something's wrong with your new car they will replace the part that you say is "broken" and claim they fixed it and still have the same problem how do any of these people still have a job? Then if you call and say the problem isn't fixed they'll just tell you they've done all they can and send you on your way and say stick a sock in it and bite the bullet. They only sell the most loaded models because they know they'll get the money from the Navy regardless. Sales staff are uncaring and act like you're buying a car, not that they're selling one. This is the exact, perfect example of what's wrong with Camden County businesses. Good ole boys who refuse to change and accept a market where buyers can negotiate a vehicle. I had my jeep worked on at the body shop (not by choice) and I was not impressed with the customer service I received. When they received my vehicle from another location they fault to contact me for almost a week to let me know they have my vehicle and that they have began work on it. When I brought this to there attention it was brushed off like it was no big deal. I was told my vehicle would be ready in about 7- 10 days. When they did began work on my vehicle it wasn't done on time (they had my jeep for 21 days) and they went way over the estimate they gave my insurance company by almost 2 grand. I had to take my jeep back there twice because of the poor work they done on her. Never again. Also the body shop it closed on the weekends. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. We were on our way to Jacksonville when one of our tires started losing pressure. We drive a GM vehicle and it's only ever been serviced by a GM dealership and we had previously had one of the tires replaced and one patched so we thought it'd be a good idea to stop in since tire issues are suppose to be a top priority for every other GM dealership we have worked with and they work you in. Plus we like that they can bring up the history of the car etc. Welllll we pull in it's 5:15 we realize they have 5:30 close time on their doors but someone asked if we needed help. Mind you all the bays doors are open there are guys still working on cars everywhere. They send us around the corner to the express service and we were turned away by a lady with a terrible attitude because it was 15 minutes till closing. She told us not one single person could help us. We left and went down the street to Quick Lane Tire and Auto and they had the tire patched in 15 minutes without any push back or fuss. Moral don't go to Bennett. Super disappointed in them. Also having worked in the customer service industry for 10 years you should have a better attitude towards your customers even if you're closing in 15 minutes. I used to have people come in 5 minutes before closing and as annoying as it is you're still suppose to treat them with respect. read more

On April 29th I made the mistake of trusting a car dealership (Bennett Chevrolet) to be honest and fulfill its word/commitment. I know better and this will be a life lesson I will pay for 72 months and carry with me for the rest of my life. Here is what happened. I stopped by to look at 2019s and possibly to trade in my 2018 Chevy Equinox, keep in mind I have not bought a brand-new car since 2011 (it was ironically a Chevy as well) . Typically, I buy used cars with 5k to 20k miles on them because of the cost savings but we had purchased a used 2018 equinox in 2018 with 19K miles and we really enjoyed. We put 15K miles on it in 5 months and now the warranty was about up, so we were considering buying a new one. My salesman David Strong seemed like a decent enough young man and had a low-pressure sale pitch, I was satisfied his approach and decided to do business with Bennett Chevrolet . They did not have an AWD vehicle on their lot, but I was promised one could be located at another dealership and brought there same day for delivery. I agreed and was convinced/encouraged to complete all paperwork immediately so I could take delivery on new vehicle same day. It had been a pleasant experience and I failed to see the great harm I would soon suffer. I went home for lunch and was called around 4pm to come get my new car. I excitedly took the keys to my new car. My wife and I got in and as we left parking lot, we noticed a buzz/vibration/noise coming from shifter knob, it's a 40 mile drive back to the house and I called Bennett Chevrolet from the road and told them of the issue, they told me it was almost closing time come back tomorrow they would make it right. April 30th at 8 am I was at dealer and took David for a ride, he agreed there was a problem and could hear the noise. So, I dropped the vehicle with service (I was going out of town for work and would be gone 5 days). I told the salesman I would not take delivery of this vehicle if I was not made right, David gave me his full assurance all would be repaired. While I was gone I waited 3 days and finally reached out to service department by phone and spoke with Mr. Wit for an update, he told me they could hear the noise but had no idea where it was coming from or what was causing it but they had ordered a whole new shifter assembly from transmission to column and would replace all of it if necessary. On Friday May 3rd I got a call back from service department informing me that all parts had been replace but noise was still present, further they advised GM was aware of noise occurring in some 2019 Equinox but at this time there was no solution and it could not be fixed. I called sales and spoke with a manger Anthony and Denise in customer service, all who told me sorry come get your broken new vehicle. I asked for a replacement vehicle they told me NO too much paperwork because they had already registered the VIN , I asked them to take it as a trade they said they did not want it and said we would have to order another AWD and it could be broken too. I told them I would not accept this vehicle, they informed me I had signed a contact and owned THIS VEHICLE, I remined them my contract was for a new (properly working) vehicle. They told me take it up with GM or my lawyers. Been a Chevy man for my whole life, I have purchased 10 new cars in my life and all but one was a GM, this will be my last. read more

Do not go to this dealership for service. They are running scams. I took my 2016 Chevy Malibu for diagnosis for my check engine light. They told me what they thought was the problem so I agreed to get it fix. They only charged me for the work and dropped the diagnostic fee. Check in engine came back on a week later and they said that they didn't tell me the exact problem but that they only told me what they recommended. So if it is anything else other that the first initial problem, I would have to pay for it. But they did other another free diagnostic test. Don't come here. Just go to a Chevy dealer in Jax. They were trying to get me to take a hit on my credit score or to have my vehicle swim so that I can get the GAP insurance, just so that I can buy a vehicle from them. Once they found out that I signed papers at another place, they were swearing and berating me, until I hung up the phone. Later in the day, I met a couple salesman in a car parts store and they told me, "Your staying in the original vehicle? We just got done talking about you at the dealership." Terrible experience! Went in to have what I thought was a radiator leak checked out. I opened the hood and pointed out the leak to the service advisor. I was advised it would cost me $115 for the initial diagnostic. After taking it into the shop the advisor came back and told me the water pump needed to be replaced at a cost of $680. I let him know I couldn't afford that. I contacted another shop by phone and was given a price of $479. Bennett still charged me the $115. They don't care about the customer just the bottom line. This dealership is sketchy has poor business ethics. They certainly don't care about gaining customers or their loyalty. I gave them $115 for nothing but they will never get another dime from me. I will never go back there nor recommend them to anyone else. Go to Jacksonville instead. read more

This place is HORRIBLE! My husband got into an accident with my car and this is the place my insurance company (USAA) told us to go. There was $8500 worth of damage so it was a lot. My first inkling that something may be wrong was when they told me that my car would be ready in a week to 10 days. I asked if that was right because it sounded premature for the amount of damage. I explained that I wanted the work done right so I didn't mind if it took a while but I wanted to know a proper time estimate off the bat so I could make plans accordingly and possibly rent a car. They assured me that it would be ready in 7-10 days. I called and checked with my insurance company if there was anywhere else I could go because I had my doubts about this place. I was told that this was the place I had to get the work done at. Ten days comes and goes and not a word is heard from them. I call the next day and am told that my car will definitely be done in 2 days. 2 days and again nothing. I wait till the 14 day mark and call and am put on hold for 30 minutes. Some guy gets on the phone and rudely states to me the amount of damage my car had and the amount of work that needs to be done and that I'm being ridiculous to expect it done so soon. I then tell him that I was told at my original appointment that it would be done in 7-10 days by THEM. I tell him the person who told me this and low and behold it was HIM! This went on for 8 weeks them making promises that it would be done and it wasn't. I asked them numerous times to provide me with a rented car so time wouldn't be an issue and they refused. Finally I was able to get them to rent me a car for 3 days only. My car FINALLY was ready and I go to pick it up and I get in my car and the rubber things around the windows was already coming out!!! I tell the front desk girl who tells the mechanic and he proceeds to tell me that they didn't have the right size so they opted to put another size on instead of ordering the proper one. He laughs about it and fixed it. Now I'm TERRIFIED. If they are admitting to putting the wrong size of one item on then how many improper parts did they really install in/on my car?!?!?! A few days later I called them because I was smelling oil while running my errands and I'm told to swing by with my car. When I arrived they looked at it and apparently a couple parts weren't tightened enough. In fact they said that they were barely on there. Fast forward to a month later. My husband got out of the Navy and we begin our move back. I called and told them that I was driving from St. Marys Georgia all the way to Philadelphia Pennsylvania and wanted to make sure that my car was done properly and ok to make that trek. They assured me that everything is great. After a few hours of driving on the first day I noticed that the edges of my front bumper on both sides are popping out. (They replaced the whole bumper) I called and explained this to them and asked if I stopped somewhere to have it fixed will they take care of the bill because they had done it improperly and had assured me it was done correctly. I was basically laughed at on the phone. They told me that I would have to come to them!!!! I was already 3-3 1/2 hours away from them!!!!! When I got home to Philly I had my car looked at and was told that the bumper was NOT assembled on my car properly and it would cost about five hundred to get fixed. It is still coming apart at both sides because I can't afford that. They also discovered that a bolt on the engine block was missing!!!! Are you F*****g kidding me!!!! I was told how dangerous it was for me to make that trip in my car the way it was. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. They put my life in danger and thought NOTHING of it. read more

Yesterday I brought my car in because it had a recall on it and it needed its oil changed. The service lady asked if I was going to be waiting on it and I said yes. I waited four hours in the waiting area. I don't think she told the others I was waiting because one of the service men called me on my cell to give me a run-through and he sounded shocked when I told him I was still in the lounge. He then put a rush on it. There needs to be better communication and customer service. The front desk lady saw me sitting there all that time and never even acknowledged me. read more

This is my rating for Bennett Chevrolet. I am retired Army (medical) so when I got final retirement it took VA a bit to catch up. Me and my wife we're prepared for as much as we could handle, but things happen. My credit took a beating, and I lost some on my score. My wife does not work because our youngest has seizures, and the oldest has Down Syndrome. My wife is my caregiver because of my injuries and issues. Sorry so long just trying to be understanding to people who read this. I went to Bennett to see about trading my Toyota Hylander in for a cheaper payment. Well it did not work out, of course even though they said otherwise before. I had forgotten about it and then a woman started contacting my wife about a program that could help. She had told my wife that she could get something done, actually told her that a deal was done just needed to come up pick a car and finish the deal. Keep in mind my wife has no income just me. Then it was they could use my income for her. You can guess no deal. Actually the salesman said hey we're working on it, and I will call you around lunch once the finance person gets with the bank. The next day was Saturday so of course no call. Now I'm no idiot, but I thought ok let's see where they are going with this. Now if I could give them a half star I would. My opinion want close them down, but I am hoping that some people will go elsewhere. This is an absolute horrible dealership for those trying to bring themselves back. read more

Took my car in for some body work on my on dime ($2300). Saw that this body shop was on USAAs referral list. Thinking this was a safe bet I took my car there. That turned out to be a costly mistake. After the first few days the paint on the front grill area began to bubble (the first sign of poor quality). They agreed it was their poor work and made the repair. Five months later the paint on the passenger door began to chip off (the second sign of poor quality). Once again I returned expecting a similar experience...I was completely mistaken. They said the chipping had to be road damage therefore they were not responsible. There were no signs of damage other than their peeling paint job. My complaint to BBB was fruitless and a waste of time. Hope this review saves others (especially military members) some grief. I reported this experience to USAA where the complaint was recorded. Go somewhere, anywhere else. read more
