Fortunately the safety chain and the quick response of my husband landed us safely on the side of the road out of harms way. To top it all off, we hade no cell service. We unhooked the trailer and drove about 5 miles back where we came from where we finally got a signal. Through Google, we found a number of welders in the town we had just left (Montrose) about 15 miles back. Most were closed or had not so good reviews - except for one - Geary Customs. The owner Charlie answered the phone and happily for us, stated he had a mobile welder and would be happy to assist us. He just had to close up his shop and drive about 15 miles to our location - he would be there in about 30 minutes. About 20 minutes later he called us to tell us that he was running a little behind but would be to us in about 15 minutes, a mark of an honest businessman. When he arrived, it was about 90 degrees and humid yet, with no hesitation, he inspected the job needed, thoroughly explained what he intended to do and got to work. After about an hour and a half he completed the job - exceptionally well! We hadn't even asked "how much" because it didn't matter - it needed to be fixed. When he finished, he asked if $xxx would be ok. OK? So surprised, my husband asked "are you sure that's all?". He was paid his requested fee and we gladly added $50 as an expression of our absolute gratitude! He initially refused the extra $ but we insisted. Then he offered to help us re-hook up the trailer to our truck before he left. Seriously? As if he had'nt done enough already! In conclusion, we happily and sincerely recommend this honest, professional and kind man and his business. Thanks to him, we were able to continue our tri-state road trip with no further issues.
