In my opinion, I would be very careful with this company, I left Bennet's a car for over year , where he said they would go through everything, got it back and it still had oil leaks, a coolant pipe was installed touching a pulley so it instantly had a hole in it, suspension was not touched even though it was failing. I was charged for parts that were never installed on the car, when I brought it up I was reimbursed for some of the parts and the labor that were billed but not installed, so they did the right thing after it was brought to their attention, but still concerning. Was told over and over the car would be ready next week but it went on for over a year in total. read more

I was facing a complicated problem with my BMW X5 Hybrid and, after a LOT of online research, concluded it needed to go to $outh $hore BMW (no, those $$$ signs are not a misprint). Tony said, "I can fix it!" His guy stayed late just to diagnose it and then got the work done the next morning, far exceeding my expectations. Bennetts Tire and Service is hands down the best repair shop around. A few months ago Tony did my sticker - I remarked at how clean everything was and how nice and professional he was. The guys remember me, both my cars, give me a ride home, are very well priced, will answer any questions I have, including "do I need to do this now or can it wait?", and are very friendly. I have been dealing with Bennett's for over twenty years and have found them to be excellent diagnosticians when it comes to getting the problem identified, corrected action out lined so I can understand what is going to be accomplished, a fair price for the work suggested, a time when the service could be accomplished to meet both our needs and the work completed in a flawless manner where I am part of the process to the final completion. My second car was at the mileage level I thought I would have to sell and replace. They gave me a list of items and their repair costs to bring my vehicle to a good dependable means of transportation. All this was at less than $900 which I had the work completed and the car is still operating three years later. That was a great investment based on a skilled mechanical staff concerned with their customers. read more

This morning I ran out of gas right before exit 10 going south on Route 3. I was incredibly panicked and knew triple A would take too long to get to me. I was in a very dangerous spot (I was in the thinning part of the break down lane right by the exit ramp). I called Bennett gas because I knew they were close by. They sent George to me asap and I am so grateful! He was so nice and filled my car with more than enough gas to get me to their gas station. Everyone I spoke with there was so nice and accommodating. I am so appreciative of their help, they are such a wonderful gas station. Also, whenever I fill my car up there they are very kind and friendly. I've always loved going there, but after today I'm convinced they are the best gas station I've ever been to! read more

I wish my mom had checked the reviews on this place first. They charged her for expensive work that they did not do. She caught them after she brought the car to someone else because it didn't feel like it was driving right, even though Bennett's said it was fine. Afterwards she confronted the owner about the work that wasn't done to see if he would refund her money, and he wouldn't. She's on a fixed income and that money was a fortune to her. She might be elderly but she's not an idiot. Unfortunately she always assumes that basically people are good. So, Mr Rude owner, how would you have felt if your own mom, grandmother, sister or daughter had been treated with such contempt and outright lies? You should feel completely ashamed of yourself and the sad part is you probably don't. read more

I am a very savvy senior citizen and knowledgeable about cars (I research how much parts cost). I drive an old Saab that has been properly maintained by a very competent Saab mechanic in VT. I drive less than 5000 miles a year so the car is not overworked. Last spring I moved to Duxbury and had no problem with my car until December 8 2016 when it wouldn't start. I called AAA and they said my alternator and battery needed to be checked and probably replaced. Since I'm new to Duxbury I asked for a recommendation and was referred to Bennett Gas and Service on Tremont St in Duxbury, (owned by Tony Izza). That was the beginning of my $845 nightmare (with more expense to come). Long story short, the car was in his shop for 5 days. By the 4th day I was so angry and disgusted with Mr. Tony Izza (rude, arrogant, dismissive, defensive and disrespectful) I had my son call him. He did, and the next morning Mr. Izza called him back and told him the car was running but needed more work (muffler, air bag and directional system he had screwed up) to the tune of another $800. My son said no thank you. When I picked up the car, the alternator and battery were replaced ($448.82), my dashboard had been dismantled and wiring was altered (repaired?) and screwed up (Labor @$90x4 $360.00), my front exhaust section was broken (very loud/ cost unknown) my airbag warning light is on (cost unknown) and my directionals don't work properly (cost unknown). I paid my $845 and told Mr. Izza what I thought of him. I have been dealing with mechanics for over 50 years and have never dealt with the likes of Tony Izza. Stay away, stay far away from Bennett Gas and Service in Duxbury. This review does not deserve the one star I had to assign in order to post. read more
