You know when you have car trouble it's never a good thing. But when I take my car to a Sullivan Tire they also take away the anxiety with dealing with it with Mike and Brian in Kingston. All they do is tell you the problem and how they're gonna fix it and then they fix it. There's never any questions I've taken my car to other places and then had to take it back two and three times just for the exact same thing. Well as soon as we started using Sullivan Tire that has never happened to us again. The guys at the Kingston shop always exceed my expectations. They always tell me it's gonna happen one way and then it happens faster so I don't know what they're doing over there, but I love going to a place when I talk to the customer rep he's going to listen to me. I'm old enough to know that I pretty sure that I've been using Sullivan Tire for over 40 years because I used to go to the gas station at the bottom of Westerly Road and Samoset Street in Plymouth. so again I can't thank you enough for the work you do and the employees that you have. I went to this place on Christmas Eve to get my friend's car inspected. They were obviously busy (I could tell from the number of cars and the activity in the garage). However, I wouldn't have known this from the folks in front; the level of courtesy and patience was terrific. Plus, they had me in and out in way less than an hour. (they even offered to shuttle me to Dunkin Donuts!) I had a TON of things to do that day, and they had me on my way, quickly and professionally. I never write positive reciews but they are getting one. Excellent service will not robbed you like dealerships. This branch in Kingston is much Better than other ones in Norwell and Plymouth. They have fixed tires and and did not charge me because it was minor. Because of that I recently bought Michelin tires there and they were the only ones stocking the tires and I am a big fan. I blew out a tire and called Sullivan's to buy a replacement. They didn't have the tire in stock (no one I called did) but had it in by 8 AM on Monday (I called on Saturday). I took my Jeep here for an oil change and tire rotation and noticed wheel noise after. On the next oil change I took it to the dealer and they said my rear wheel bearing is going bad and needs to be replaced. A little later I took my truck here for an oil change and tire rotation and when I drove away I noticed again wheel noise. A couple months later took the truck to the dealer to get an oil change and they said both wheel bearings in the front are clicking and should be replaced. What are the odds of this happening twice? Especially with vehicles with only 60K. I have owned many cars and never had wheel bearings go bad. No noise before I went to Sullivan but definitely noise after. Could it be sabotage for more business? Not going to take the chance again. I will stay away! read more

My husband's truck suddenly died two days before we were supposed to leave on our summer camping vacation. He and a friend tried to fix it, however did not have success. We called Sullivan Tire the day before we were supposed to leave (Saturday morning). Mike answered the phone and said that they would take the truck. We couldn't find anyone to tow it. Mike called back about one hour later and asked if the truck was on its way. We told him that we couldn't find anyone to tow it, and he suggested Andy's Towing in Pembroke. The tow company came out right away and took the truck to Sullivan's. By 3:30, our truck was ready. They gave the truck a new battery, ignition fuse, and battery terminal (I'm very good with car terminology, but I think that is close!). The price was very reasonable. We got our truck back and were able to go on our vacation. Mike communicated with us the whole time. We were so relieved and thankful that Sullivan Tire was able to help us. We HIGHLY recommend using this company in Kingston. read more

Went to get a flat repair, they said it could not be fixed and tried to sell me one tire for $264. Went to local gas station and had tire repaired for $25. Tire is holding up just fine. read more

I've bought 2 sets of tires there-8 tires are not cheap. I got a blowout and had them put the new tire on. They didn't put the donut back or any of the tools. You would think after spending $1,500 on tires they could at least put things back in there correct place. Will not go back. read more

On 12/30, a Saturday (and I include the date and day because it is significant in that it is a holiday weekend) I was headed to MA from CT and caused a flat tire. My friend called around and found that Sullivan Tire & Auto was not only open, they were friendly and helpful. From the road I called the store and provided the necessary information on the tire(s) I would need. Tom at the Kingston location was SUPER nice, friendly and helpful. Even better, he laughed at my jokes. Two hours later I pulled into the parking lot and Tom was waiting to take care of my car, which was serviced within a couple of hours (it may have been sooner, but since I wasn't going to pick up the car until after hours, the time was immaterial). It was a holiday weekend, as I said, and it was freakin' cold outside, so my misfortune was magnified by the timing and the weather. The situation was made immensely better, though, by the fantastic customer service provided by Tom and everyone else who worked on getting me back on the road. While it may not have been a Christmas miracle, it was pretty darned close. Thanks to everyone for the humanity. read more

Had a great experience with these guys. They matched the price from my dealer and a couple of others. There was a snag where the actual tire size was misquoted which would have cost me more, but they did the right thing by coming down and doing the job for what was quoted. It's not like the average person buys tires frequently, but I will say that these guys were courteous and definitely knew their stuff and I will go back to them next go around. read more

I don't know what the story is with all these great reviews, but maybe the commentors are people who don't check to see if the work was actually done. Victims should also check to see HOW they did the work. These guys charged us over $1000 for stuff we did not ask for (we needed an oil change, and new tires). The day after we took the car home, the radiator was leaking coolant rapidly. WTH? So we took it elsewhere to see what the problem was. There was damage to the radially hoses (torn and put back on manually with fresh glue) and the radiator was old, and really needed some assessment. Apparently Sullivan "missed" that. The new mechanic noted: Sullivan had tried to change the cabin air filter and ripped off the box trying to get at the filter-our new mechanic showed us where the fresh GLUE was on connectors on the box. Yes, glued. This was all in 5 minutes with the good open, after out car overheated due to radiator damage, before the new mechanic took the car in, btw. Sullivan charged us for Transmission hose that was also broken: Sullivan said they had changed the transmission fluid (we did not ask for that; it is a closed system, so not a normal thing you even have to do for our car). Tires: they say they have a"deal" then they overcharge you for balancing, then hit you with "flat insurance" which exceeds the price of the deal, and then some. They double charged me for fluids in two different "descriptions" off the same thing on the bill. They never noticed we had a brake light out, not an issue, but since they were "checking the car over thoroughly" that was pretty funny. There is more, but I haven't had my new mechanic tell me what else he found. This place is a scam site. BEWARE. read more

The last time I went there I was having new tires put on, they came back telling me I had over $1000 worth of problems with my car. I told them I would have them done at a later time and had it checked by someone else to find out there were no such problems! That was over a year ago, so I decided to go back once again because it was the closest place to get a sticker. I found the manager EXTREMELY rude. He tried fighting me over minor details with my registration and would not look at my car. He sent me away to RMV to deal with it, and when I came back to tell him he had to honor the registration he tried fighting with me about it once again and told me he would reject my car. When I wouldn't leave he decided call the RMV himself, the problem was resolved and they told him he could go on with the inspection and he still was completely rude to me. To make matters worse when I left the store my car was rattling loudly, and when I check to see what the problem was one, of my tire's had all of it's lug nuts loose enough to take off with my hand. Their neglegence could of cost me a ton if that tire ever came off. I will never go back there again even if they were the closest place in 50 miles. read more

I have been to Sullivan a bunch of times--mostly for oil and inspection stickers because of their great hours. But the last time I had brought in my Hyundia SUV for a tire issue...they brought to my attention that I had 2 other tires that needed quick attention. The service Mgrs talked me into getting a total of 4 new tires and said they should only sell me the "manufactures recommended" tires which were pretty pricy at $180.00 each. Thought this was pretty high for this kind of car in comparison to others. The total with labor, etc was going to take it over $700. but they sold me on it by telling me there was an $80.00 mail in rebate. They initially told me to mail it in and in a few weeks I would get my check. At the last minute the service mgr grabbed the rebate form back from me and said he would have it sent in. Well a few months later...(no check) I called and they said it usually takes about 6 months. Well 6mnths goes buy...and (no check). I was very patient and expected maybe it would evently show up--but to no avail. I was pretty good customer until this happend... read more
