I'm never one to go out of my way to write a bad review but I feel like the way I've been taken care of is just ridiculous. I haven't been disrespected nor has anyone been mean to me but I bought a 2019 Ford F-150 3 months back and have had nothing but issues. I got a mopar 1 year 12k mile warranty and was told take your truck to any dodge dealer if you have any issues and they will take care of you, this was their way of making me feel comfortable when I asked if my mechanic could look at it for one day. but when I tried the dodge dealer they say the only thing they service is dodge not any other make. When I looked at the truck I knew it had cosmetic damage. Some clear coat missing on the hood as well as 2 really small dents in the driver door. But my salesman told me that everything mechanical was sound and was really confident about that. Whenever I test drove it I noticed the mirror was really Wobbly and pointed it out to the salesman and he said that it was normal. Also I had to move stuff from storage to my house and the tail gate wouldn't work not only did I have to rent a U-Haul trailer I had to spend $500 to get my tailgate fixed because no dodge dealer ship will work on my truck even though they gave me a MOPAR (Dodge) warranty and I had to spend almost $300 to fix my mirrors witch was in fact not normal. And ever since I've had the truck the front end has been clicking really loud occasionally whenever I turn left or right.. To get suspension and alignment done is insanely expensive and was quoted 1200 for parts and labor! Now I have to pay that out of own pocket due to some salesman and finance manager trying to meet his mark this dealer is very disingenuous and only care about making their sale. read more

Benny Boyd Gonzales was able to get me a super reasonable deal and keep payments within my desired range. The follow-up from sales definitely made me feel like a valued customer. Text messages from the dealership to see how everything was and if I was satisfied with my Jeep. I've taken my vehicle in twice now for routine maintenance and each time it was completed within a reasonable time frame. BYER BEWARE I was assured upon my arrival that this was not just another shifty car dealer, and that I would be treated honestly and fairly. That WAS NOT the case. When I was presented an offer of $1000 on my trade in and said I wasn't satisfied with that Gary told me he "wouldn't let a few hundred dollars cause me to walk out" and when I said the payment was not acceptable Gary took the highest number I was willing to agree to and left. Indicating everything was good he had me wait (a very long time) for the finance manager. I was not actually surprised when the payment amount was $34 higher than what I had agreed to with Gary, and when I saw that they were only giving me the $1000 for my trade it just confirmed that this salesman wanted to take advantage of someone who had to purchase a vehicle. Before I left the dealership Gary tells me I would receive a survey from Chrysler and if I did not rate all "10"s he would not get paid. He admitted that he was not supposed to tell the customer that. The following day I got an email from the sales manager (which originated with the salesman not the manager) and from Gary. When I replied and told him I wasn't pleased that he had not done what he said he would do on the trade, not even the "few hundred" he had said he would, he sent me a text message asking for the sake of his family I would either still rate him all "10"s or just delete the survey. Gary knew I had kids in college but he was not concerned with how his lack of diligence effected my budget, yet he wanted me to respond to his emotional plea to allow him to get the benefits of treating someone perfectly. If I don't inform people then others will be treated the same way. I purchased a vehicle because of the vehicle, and in spite of the shady practices of the salesman. I received another email this morning in which Gary stated that he had talked about it with his manager and they had done everything right. I was not going to post any reviews until I saw how this was handled beyond Gary's level, now I know. I will see how well I can describe this experience to Chrysler, and any other place I can review the dealership. Not once has anyone acknowledged the problem, or offered products or services, just self justification and emotional pleas to not tell anyone so he will still get paid. read more

LIARS and SCAMMERS. About seven months ago my 2009 Jeep Patriot broke down on a drive from Houston to Wimberley. I thought I could trust Benny Boyd so called them to have my car towed to their dealership. They told me it would be $100 to tow my car nine miles to the dealership. It ended up being over $200. They told me that I needed a new transmission. My car had 103K miles on it so their quote of $4,000 for a new one was too much. I asked for a used one and they offered to put an old one in with MORE miles than my Jeep even had. They wanted $3,000 for that. Trade in value for fair condition of my Jeep is $2-3,000 - good condition even more. They knew I was stuck and, given their diagnosis, needed a new car. They offered me $500 for a trade in. They wouldn't budge on that number, even though I wanted to buy a new Jeep from them. Eventually, it became very obvious that they knew they had me over a barrel and were planning to scam me. I decided that, whatever I did, I would NEVER give them my business., so I sold the car to my neighbor at a great loss. They took my Jeep to a mechanic, had some fluids replaced and his daughter has been driving it with NO MECHANICAL ISSUES for SEVEN MONTHS! Bottom line is that Benny Boyd Jeep will lie to you at every turn, take advantage of you and basically treat their customers like crap. It was a horrible experience and I just pray that people see this and reconsider giving them your business. Dealerships like Benny Boyd Jeep are the reason car sellers aren't trusted. read more

Got a flat on our 2012 Jeep on the side of 183 en route to Port A. Lucky for us, Benny Boyd was a couple miles ago. After a Good Samaritan stopped and helped us get aired up, we limped in right before close. Rather than turn us away on a Friday evening, they stayed open and the manager went the extra mile to help us find a suitable tire replacement. Without the kind & gracious folks in the service department at Benny Boyd, would have spent the weekend in Gonzales waiting for a tire shop to open rather than on the beach. Was guaranteed an approval and specific monthly payment amount before I drove 2.5 hours and spent $40 in gas to look at the car in which I inquired about. Not only did they hike the price as soon as I arrived, but they also hiked the deposit amount appx $5,000 and wasted 5 hours of my time....for a $7000 vehicle w a $16k pricetag....after I told them I was commuting 2 hours to get here. I am only giving one star because I must put this in order to write a review. If there was a multiple negative rating, then that would be my choice. I will say that I have never posted anything like this before, but I feel it is my duty as a honest person to in some way warn others, so they don't suffer the stress we have. Benny Boyd serviced our new under warranty truck twice. Both times the issue was not fixed. They messed up the truck so badly. and we did not know this and got on the road for a trip. By the grace of God, we broke down within 2 miles of dodge dealership. This dealership took 4 days to fix the damage done and to actually correct the original problem. Benny Boyd will not admit to the things they did and have treated us horribly. I would rather someone say that they can't fix but not to put us on the road with a vehicle they sold us brand new a few years ago and not know that there were issues. I understand that accidents happen and trucks break down, but this should never have happened if they had been knowledgeable and honest. I also have never been spoken to so rudely multiple times in my entire life. And I mean NEVER in that manner or tone to be blatantly lied to. If you want horrible service before and much worse service after the sale, then this is the place to shop for your vehicle. If you like lies and dishonesty and being charged many hundreds of dollars that you should not be charged, then shop at Benny Boyd. read more

We were having an intermittent starting problem with our Chrysler Town & Country. Our local mechanic suggested we take it to a dealer. Took it here, they reset the computer and charges us $250 and said the problem was fixed. Wouldn't start when we picked it up or the next day. Took it bak and had to leave it for several weeks because I had an out o town trip planned. They determined it was the fuel pump and charged me over $1000. I asked them to please start it periodically while they had it to make sure this actually fixed the problem. Returned for my car after my trip and I knew immediately it wasn't fixed. Best vehicle buying experience, ever - new or used!. Bought a new dodge ram from them a few months ago. I had originally reached out to Danny (he came highly recommended). He got me setup with one of his sales guys, Ryan. Ryan did an awesome job communicating with me throughout the process. We called/texted over the course of a few days to discuss exactly what I was looking for, my trade in, and financing options (he was totally accommodating to my schedule). They ended up getting exactly the truck I wanted, with every specific option I asked for. When I physically went to the dealer (which was my first time setting foot at the dealership) I was greeted by several employees, who were all very friendly. I spoke with Danny and Ryan for a few minutes, Ryan showed me the truck, then he handed me off to Wes for financing. We had already done everything for financing, so I just had to go in and sign the paperwork essentially. Wes walked me through all the documentation, answered all of my questions, and we had a few laughs during the process. Once Wes and I were done with everything, Ryan walked me to my new truck and showed me how EVERYTHING works on it. He even had me sync up my phone right then and there.
