This restaurant completely satisfied me. It has so many unique kinds of eggs Benedict on the menu and has wonderful hours. The only recommendation I could make would be to add something to the hollandaise sauce. I don't know exactly what it needs but it needs something. Wow! We stumbled upon this place completely by accident today while we were looking for a different breakfast restaurant. I'm a huge eggs benny fan, so of course we had to try it! This is a cool, diner-style restaurant with records on the wall, 50's style booths and paints mural of pin up girls and super heroes. I absolutely loved the music! We got a spot at the bar and had a close up view of all the food coming out. I would have happily eaten absolutely anything off the menu! I struggled to choose from the long list of eggs Benedict variations and settled on the beef bacon. It was phenomenal. My date had a breakfast bowl with perogies, sausage and scrambled eggs which was also super tasty. The service was friendly and fairly quick despite how busy the restaurant was. The hollandaise is perfect, but they won't serve the eggs with a soft yolk as eggs benny's are meant to be. When I asked if I could have my eggs soft, I was told they come medium, with a runny yolk. (?) Everything else was fine but I can't give more than 3 stars because of the firm yolks. If you like your eggs medium, and you like eggs benedict, this is the place for you! read more

Right from the start I was not impressed when offered water that was bottled and .75 cents! The chicken and waffles was the worst I've ever had. The coating had a ton of herbs that should not have been used for this combo. The waffle mix was basic, along the lines of an Eggo. this should have been an easy dish to prepare, simple - piece of nicely coated fried chicken (hold the herbs) on a decent tasting waffle - epic fail. When I walked in to the restaurant I could only hope for good thing based on how packed and busy it was. 30 minuets plus waiting to get seated for breakfast not bad compared to other places for breakfast in the city. Sadly I was not that impressed with my breakfast the order was fast but it just was lacking something. The potato's were not my favourite and I love red potatoes hash browns. Tbh this is the one breakfast spot in the city I just keep coming back to. It's consistently stable and solid as a good choice, it isn't pricey especially considering the portions you get! I suggest any of the Eggs Benny options, and I love how they are so creative in making so many different options of them! The classic breakfast s of eggs meat toast etc. are also always a solid choice here. We came to visit Benny's on the last leg of my 3rd trimester. The restaurants is very retro and the menu is filled with homages to old singers/celebrities, which is quite cute. It was a Sunday and it seemed like the restaurant was sufficiently busy and there were tons of families with little kids which is a plus for me! We ordered an Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, 2 Cowboy Breakfasts, Benny's breakfast bowl and eggs benedict with Montreal smoked meat. We all tried each other's plates like always(were all family so it's all good) and we liked all the plates, I mean how can someone screw up eggs and sausages? We really had no complaints with the food, and the service was amazing. I wouldn't mind coming back to Benny's now that my baby is almost 3 months old(she's not eating any of the food there though, so too bad for her). read more

Good staff, really tasty food, and large portions here. Every time I've come to eat it's consistently great. They use electronic table to server paging/service system and it works really well. We were underwhelmed considering the reviews for this place. The food wasn't anything special really... I wanted to love it because I love the atmosphere and the service was great. I was surprised at how thin the thick cut bacon was. and I thought it had no flavour. But I mean Queens Cocktails really raise the bar for the bacon game. And the waffles were very sharp and cut the mouth, also cold. Also. They only do bottled water according to their menu... that's weird and not particularly environmentally conscious. We go here at least once a month or more when we hit Costco. Great breakfast and lunch but make sure you book ahead and use yelp other you'll have a long wait on the weekends. I usually have the Elvis breakfast or the Monroe. Lots of food. Love their potatoes. You do have to pay for water otherwise it would be a five. I had the beef dip and the bun was sooooooo soft. It's the square shaped ones, sorry I can't remember the name of them. It isn't stuffed with meat, but I guess there's enough. The gravy or dip you get with is kinda sorta like KFC. (Better). It comes with fries as well. My boys had breakfast and also a vanilla shake. Fabulous 50s decor with red vinyl and chrome booths and chairs. The 50s music was fun too. Service is friendly and attentive. They were more than willing to accommodate substitutions in the menu. We even got our own cool pot of coffee for our brunch today. A fun menu selection from lite fare to a heavy breakfast. Everything tasted very fresh and well cooked. I also appreciated the rectangular outlay of the place as even with a table of 10 sitting next to us, the noise levels were low as compared to other breakfast places. Cool 50's style diner breakfast and lunch place. Red and white sparkly vinyl booths, Elvis and Marylin Monroe decor, and old magazine ads spread throughout. Their menu has traditional options like omelettes, waffles, and the "benny breakfast" which consists of eggs, toast, bacon, and sausage. Then they have some non traditional items too like The ESB which has mini pirogies sausage and eggs. They also have lunch items. Breakfast will run you around $15 per meal plus drinks. What I like about places like these is that I can get a no nonsense breakfast. While places like OEB and Monki are great, sometimes you just want some bacon and eggs and toast. You get in, eat, and get out without a fuss. These guys are locally owned too which is great to support a small business. It also means that they're getting many things locally like the Spoumbo's sausage they serve. So far so good. Keep up the great work! read more

When did someone on the phone take priority over patrons who take the time to come in to eat. Also watched a server put deodorant on in the service area and not wash her hands after?
