Ordered the Turkey panini on Asiago Rosemary bagel. The bagel was fresh and stacked with good amount of cheese and meat. Turkey and bacon had a good smoky flavor. It needed a dressing or condiment as the sandwich was a little dry. It was tasty overall, but maybe a little on the pricey side. The other downside was no chips or sides. Definitely need to try it again for breakfast sometime.

We ordered our bagels and then sat down to wait. The reason for the 4 stars is because we did not get our bagels until 11:05, and with an apartment tour at 11:15, this did not give us much time to enjoy our food. It seemed crazy that it took so long to put cream cheese on a bagel, and I feel like their system for preparation could be improved. Despite having to eat fast, those bagels were phenomenal. They were fresh and coated in the seasoning. Both of use got veggie cream cheese, which was surprisingly light and tasty. Neither of us felt heavy after this meal, which is normal for me when I eat cream cheese. All in all, this place was quite good and I will be back for more. Just remember to either come here early, or to not have immediate plans after the visit.

The service was friendly and engaging! They were patient and helpful. Both of our coffees were well made and I liked the dark Italian style roast. The muffins were out of this world good. I had the lemon olive oil muffin. I can't recommend it enough. All their sweet breads looked delicious and homemade. Great stop on our road trip!!

Today, we decided to get an iced quad shot oatmilk mocha from here and another place nearby and compare them. I'll include information on both but will say that if you want a smoother, less bitter drink, Monarch would be the better choice. Although we got our drink to go today, we like the ambiance. We have had mochas all over the US (including AK & HI) and in other countries that make them (some places don't), so we (and some of our friends) consider ourselves mocha connoisseurs. Iced Quad Oatmilk Mocha Monarch J: 7/10, don't taste coffee (prefer to taste more), not bitter, could use 1 step up on chocolate, sweetness okay N: 6/10, needs more coffee flavor, needs more chocolate (taste it more than Turbo but no enough for me), still a little too sweet but not as syrupy, not bitter, don't like lid because of risk of coming loose/leaking Turbo (Competitor) J: 6/10, lots of coffee, not much chocolate (prefer more), bitter, could use more sweetness N: 6/10, Strong coffee flavor (good), very (maybe too) bitter, barely any chocolate (not enough), too (syrupy) sweet I would come back but not regularly like I used to. What would make this a better mocha? IMHO, adding more of a quality unsweetened cocoa like Guittard Rouge (not sure of chocolate used), the ability to customize sweetness, and cooling the drink first in a cold cup before pouring over a bit more ice. I'm not sure why the coffee taste was weak with a quad shot, but this did have more of a chocolate taste, although I prefer more. I also appreciated that although it was still too sweet for me, it didn't taste "syrupy." The lid is a bit of a hazard, as it kept popping off.

After 15 mins- we were told ANOTHER 10 mins... meanwhile, waiting the last 10 mins there were 4 tables sitting empty by the front where we were standing.. The blond girl at the front was very robotic, no smile, no greeting, seemed annoyed to be there. You couldn't hear her calling the party's names. Not the person you want as the first representative of your establishment. When she finally called us and brought us to the table, asked "how many in your party?" How can you not know? You JUST PAGED US! It's on the iPad in your hand! We said 5, she gave us 3 menus... seriously? The server was awesome and cheerful. The food was amazing. But again ... customer service. 2 plates came out, 5 mins later 2 more plates, 5 mins later the last plate. Why is our food not coming out all together? We ask for the check and get it promptly, but it took another 10 mins for her to come pick it up... Lots of room for improvement for the customer service end of it, and even though the food was absolutely delicious, it wasn't enough to outshine the poor initial impression with the lack of hostess skills and wait time.

But even though there is a lot of parking, there is also a lot of people, so snag a space if you see it and walk a few extra steps, if you can. There was a short wait when we arrived that was approximately 15 minutes. We opted to sit at a table outside. It was a sunny day, but could have been a bit warmer to enjoy outside more. The outside seating has a great view of a river, which is nice. Our serve was Alana and she was extraordinary! She was attentive, has great recommendations, is very witty and funny and has fantastic people skills! Looking around at the other table she was serving, they were equally as happy with her service. I ordered a southern scramble and a side of lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes. Those pancakes stole the show. Everything tasted great but I didn't put much of a dent in the scramble as it is a good size portion and the pancakes deterred me from eating more! Lol! Overall wonderful experience and I would come back again!

I hesitated to return after reading some recent reviews, but I went anyway because I've always loved their Creamy Tomato Soup and Apple Crisp Salad. When placing my order, though, I called an audible and went with the Greek Salad instead. My disappointment is not with the food. Just as it was years ago, the quality remains excellent. If I were grading this place on food alone, it would be an easy 5-star experience. Unfortunately, the cleanliness brings my overall score down to a 3. The floors were littered with food crumbs, napkin pieces, straw wrappers, and other trash. Many of the tables needed to be wiped down, and the dish drop-off area had stacks of plates and bowls left from previous guests. I can only hope the kitchen is cleaner than the dining area. I understand many franchises are moving toward kiosk ordering, and that's fine, but it's still nice to see a friendly face when you walk into a restaurant. And if I'm placing my own order on a machine, picking up my food at the window, fixing my own drink, and finding my own seat, please don't ask me for a tip at checkout. I can't go into the kitchen and prepare my own food--so being prompted for a gratuity feels unnecessary. Now, back to the positives: the tomato soup and baguette were fabulous--comforting and delicious on a cold Alabama Friday night. I've become a fan of Greek salads over the past few years, and Panera's version is top-notch. Next time, I may try the full salad with chicken. The background music was a nice touch, too--Sleigh Ride by The Ronettes, Please Come Home for Christmas by the Eagles, and even Texas Hold'Em by Beyoncé helped set a pleasant atmosphere. Final Score: 3 out of 5 stars Food: 5 stars Cleanliness: 2 stars Still worth a visit for the flavors--but I hope management gives the dining area some attention.

However, I have a hard time paying $18 for a moderate-to-small sized grilled chicken sandwich, small bag of chips, and a drink. Upon paying, of course, the screen asked for a tip, though, there is no table service of any kind. (I despise this). Another reason for the mediocre review is that at 4:40 in the afternoon with 4 guests seated, the trash needed taken out in two separate cans, and the shelves above the service are needed organized. A few minor improvements could make this location a fantastic one. Edit: Next Day after initial visit (03/13/2025). Clean. Less clutter. A friendly, genial staff. There are still some minor items which could use some attention that could easily take this location from average or good to great. Like: dusting the window sills, vacuuming under booths, and wiping the chair rails. Doing these things along with keeping the trash taken out would keep this location full of customers. A paint touch-up here or there would be stellar. I've changed my initial review from 3 to 4 stars.
