Food quality was on par with the price, rolls are very large, I didnt finish my 2 - typically no problem putting down 2 rolls. Ask for what you want - and they deliver. Or - they have a menu with some premade rolls. Need larger cups, would like to see a slightly better quality chop stick, larger dipping cup for soy, high tops at storefront need feet rest, and staff is learning (dont cover ginger in spicey mayo). I like the idea of building your own sushi. Staff were friendly and the whole place has a good ambiance. For my taste, the sushi was ok. I have had better. I didn't like that the seaweed was on the outside of the role. I prefer the rice outside. Tastes better to me like that. Also not my taste is the fried rice. I've had much better flavored fried rice. Love love love this place. Can't say enough about the quality and convenience. I prefer bowls over rolls and they do it right even with my picky preferences. All the veggies and fish looked and taste fresh. Got a side of Asian noodles for later in the day and they were also delicious. This place's concept is cool but executed horribly, "Subway Sushi" is what it should be called. First off, the "fresh fish" made me sick the instant I digested it. Also I had heard a rumor that they use a standard barbecue grille that most people have in their backyard to cook on. I finally realized the rumor was true when I walked back to my vehicle and saw it sitting directly next to a bike rack on the dirt. This does not seem safe and also extremely unconventional as even a McDonalds wouldn't cook on this grille. The concept of this place is so perfect, too bad the service didn't match. There were two guys working whom were very attentive however the two ladies were there for time to pass and a paycheck. My roll actually fell apart while I was attempting to eat it, however, it tasted good. I ordered egg rolls, which they were out of and had to make some for me. The benefits of this is they were hot. I also ordered dumplings and was told they would find me and bring them to us. With only three pieces of sushi left to consume I made a trip back to counter finding one of the employees sitting on the country on her phone. She jumped up and threw her phone on the counter and the other employee said she forgot about my order. Well, of course you did, You obviously had better things to be doing than working. Sure, you can customize it however you like, but the ingredients just don't taste good. My wife got steak (she doesn't like fish, and their non-fish options are what drew her here) and I got dynamite salmon, and they were both completely flavorless. The sauces and vegetables didn't really help. Even grocery store sushi is better. The best part was the mixed berry lemonade. At least had enough sugar in it to taste like something. read more
