So I've used Benson Pool's for a few minor issues over years. Always some great work. Our pool is 22 yrs old and had the original electronics and was in dire need of an update. So I visited with Thomas Benson and he gave me a fair price on price on the equipment and install. They installed it in no time and went walled me thru the app that runs everything. So nice and easy. I asked about putting a new light in the pool as it too was original and we agreed on a Jandy system LED - fits seamless with the Jandy electronics he put in. Again a fair price and install took about 30 mins. My wife had a birthday party the next evening and the pools lights were such a hit. You won't go wrong with Benson. read more

They responded to my request in two days to fix my Pentair pool repair. They arrived on time, spent a few minutes to determine the switch had been turned off. First of all let me say my wife and just had our first newborn baby born a month early, three days ago. Things have been stressful to say the least with his condition. We have simultaneously been struggling with this company since last November to get our hot tub fixed. They were difficult to get out, and the person we spoke with had a bad attitude and very dismissive at times. We would have called someone else but our pool company expressed they were the only ones they knew of that could fix the problem. Then after spending ten thousand dollars on attempting to fix it, the hot tub again does not work after just the second try. When I reached out to the owner just now to describe the problem and express frustration, he called and started yelling at me. I've never in my life had a service company call and actually yell at me on the phone. This has been by far the worst experience we've ever had not only with a pool company but a service company in general. And it's the last thing I want to deal with when we have a stressful situation with our new born precious baby boy. DO NOT call this company. read more

I had pool problems and service was provided by Thomas at Bensons Pools, Katy, Texas, 925 Mason Road Katy. 281 693 7946 . Also amazed that I am only the second person to give them 5* on Yelp. They are a genuine company and now my first call.. I had to replace my original pool pump every 3 years, so on recommendation from my neighbor who had quoted 3+ companies from the old conventional pumps to the new 2021 rules , a Variable Speed Pump - VSP needed installing. Modern and less electric energy consumed by 50% based on my 3 months of invoices so far. Controlled and programable from my phone. Quick and easy and they worked with me through the process. Yes I had to buy another router extension to put the internet outside, but we can now also sit out and have connectivity. I estimate it will pay off in 14 months, I am compliant and have a warranty. Thereafter I had a supposed pool issue, a leak late 2020, so called them back... Not a VSP money making install. Thomas visited us 4 times, A 4 visit, diagnostic approach to fill spa and pool and monitor and exclude leaks from the Spa, Pool one by one. He concluded that the pool was intact and one design floor issue in my pool valves and manifolds which he addressed. Pool fixed, no rapid digging or unnecessary work or high $000 quotes. Cost ? exceptionally reasonable. These guys know their business on pools and I would unreservedly recommend them as good and fair experts if you have pool issues in Katy or West Houston. read more

I used this company about a year and a half ago to replace a salt cell and fix plumbing issues. Recently the cap that holds the salt cell in place cracked. They had used the old cap instead of replacing it when they put in the salt cell. Now last week I called and I had two repairs needing fixed. On the phone they said $125 service fee plus parts. When I mentioned the second item they said they would do the labor for half because they are already there. When the technician got to my house he was very arrogant and rude. Then they changed me the full amount for the labor twice which was $250.00. I could understand if it was a time consuming repair but he was done with both items in less than 30 minute. Therefore they charge over $500.00 per hour. read more
