Jacquie has been nothing but incredible as was the installation team. So a few things stood out to me with this whole experience. First, I saw the pricing of our existing LVP (we wanted to match it in the bedrooms after removing the carpet) on the manufacturer website at a specific price but when I got quotes elsewhere, they all upcharged in varying amounts but not Jacquie! Second, the team who came to install the flooring was employed by this company, not a contracted out group which to me means they take pride in their work as it reflects directly on the company. They were on time, very professional, cleaned up any footprints along the way, and in one difficult spot they took the time to really figure out how to make it work correctly the first time. My husband actually used to lay flooring years ago and even he was impressed with the quality of the work! We are so happy to have consistent flooring now throughout the house and I can finally relax and have guests stay without worrying about carpet holding smells that I am nose-blind to! I will add better photos once our house doesn't look like a war zone with moving furniture and we put down the fancy baseboards we ordered! The team that laid the floors were professional and efficient. You can tell that this team has worked together for quite a while because everything flows smoothly. Abel, Peter, Elijah,and Daniel were their names. I suggest that you asked for this team when it comes to laying down your floors. So the company gets an A+ for laying down wood flooring. Also the office rep whose name is Jacquie gets in a plus because she went out of her way to ensure we chose the floors we needed. She goes above and beyond when it comes to helping the clients. She was an absolute pleasure to work with and I'm sure the company gets a lot of business because of her wonderful customer service. And most important the company gets an a++ for pricing. You cannot beat their pricing anywhere, believe me I tried. I suggest if you find a wood sampling that you like at another store bring it to their store and if they can beat the price. I did that a few times and they always came about $2.50 under the asking price of the other company. Now there's a few things to be aware of that I learned doing this process if you are changing your floors from tile to Wood. I went with the dust free company that they use but that does not mean you will not get dust over everything because there are other processes like laying down the float and dealing with it. it produces a lot of dust in your home. I had to dust every article in my home and cabinets when the process was completed. I would definitely recommend that you speak with the team that they use to come out to take up tile to ensure that they cover all of your items in your bookshelves and on your counters completely or you need to ensure that there is nothing left out on any counters. So, if I could critique anything I felt that the team that came out to break up tile could have done a much better job at covering the bookshelves and the things on the kitchen counter. But now I know, so I'm passing on this information to others. Also another thing to be aware of if you are getting tile taken up. You will definitely get damaged to your baseboards. I was not aware of that and I didn't have any issues in the room that had carpet in them but the baseboards in the rooms that the tile were taken up looked pretty bad because the paint was pulled up off of the baseboards when they took up the shoe mold or quarter round. When they do this, it also takes off some of the paint from your baseboards and you will be left with baseboard shock like I was because I wasn't aware of this beforehand. So I ended up spot painting all the areas that the paint came off of my baseboards and that fixed the problem but I just wasn't aware beforehand that pulling off the quarter rounds would peel off your paint from your baseboards. So just be aware and plan to either repaint your baseboards after your wood is put down or replace them. Now, if they are just pulling up carpet you will not have this issue. So in the end even with the issues with the baseboards due to the tile being pulled up and having to touch up my baseboards I would do it again because my floors look beautiful. See pics attached for the dust that was left on the counters, the condition my baseboards were left in and last but not least the beautiful flooring. Hopefully this review helps if you are transitioning from a tile flooring to wood flooring. It has been over a week now and I'm still loving my wood flooring.

Jairo was easy to get in touch with and arrived early for the repairs. He showed a lot of care in his work and he made sure I was satisfied with the repair before packing up for the day. Both carpet repaired areas look brand new now and match my other carpet areas again. I had put off getting this fix for years because I was worried about price but these fixes definitely had higher than expected value. I no longer have to step over carpet bulges and my door shuts better. When I asked…read moremy realtor for a handyman recommendation, I was referred to John Patrick of Cypress Handyman. I wanted to replace several builder-grade light fixtures with ceiling fans. Before the work began, I communicated with John Patrick by text and email, providing photos of the existing fixtures and the ceiling fans I wanted installed. Unfortunately, after the installation, I immediately noticed several issues. The outdoor ceiling fan wobbled and made a humming noise, while the ceiling fan in my primary bedroom was unbalanced and its light would not work. John Patrick told me the primary bedroom fan's light kit was defective and that I would need to obtain a replacement. Regarding the outdoor fan, he said it was "as good as he could get it." After he left, I also noticed a red electrical wire protruding from beneath the mounting canopy of the living room fan. I contacted the ceiling fan manufacturer, who promptly sent a replacement light kit under warranty. I then reached out to John Patrick to complete the repair. He scheduled two appointments, rescheduled one of them, and ultimately failed to show up for the final appointment without any communication. At that point, I hired another handyman to inspect and correct the installation. He discovered that the ceiling fans could not be properly balanced because essential installation hardware--including nuts and screws--had never been installed. He also determined that the light kit was not defective at all; it had simply been connected incorrectly during the installation. Once the missing hardware was installed and the wiring was corrected, all of the issues were resolved. At the conclusion of the original job, John Patrick requested full payment and assured me that he would return to address any issues that arose. Trusting his commitment, I paid him in full via Zelle and even included a tip. After repeated attempts to have him honor his promise and receiving no response, I ultimately filed a claim through Zelle. I generally give people the benefit of the doubt and hope for the best. Unfortunately, my experience with Cypress Handyman did not reflect the level of workmanship, professionalism, or customer service I expected. I regret not sharing this experience sooner, as it may help other homeowners make a more informed decision before hiring John Patrick of Cypress Handyman. I have also advised my realtor not to refer Cypress Handyman to future clients.

I texted him in September as I had several things lined up that needed installed and repaired. It was a few days before he responded but he did and explained that he had been working on a big project. He came out on 9/20 to do the work. One of the projects was to remove a light fixture and install two mini pendant lights. These are two separate fixtures with chain links from the ceiling to the actual light encasing. This was the last project of the day and he did a great job of changing out my old light to this updated look. With one exception. He called me in to look at them and I noticed one was hanging shorter than the other. When I mentioned it he said "No, it's correct." I didn't want to be rude and go get a tape measure to ensure that it was correct (I will in the future). After he left I measured and it was 1/4" shorter. To some this might not seem like much but it is noticeable. When he was leaving he commented that my house could use quite a bit of work (he was tactful) and I agreed. I could tell he was soft selling me for future larger projects. That was fine as I would like to hire a small business to do the work when I'm ready. We discussed a few more projects for his next visit and he left. Fast forward to 10/19. I sent a text that the needed to fix the light and why. He responded and asked if the light fell. I reiterated that the light on the right was shorter. It's now 11/14. I have yet to hear back from him. I'm in sales, if I did something incorrectly I own it and do the best I can to fix the problem. Especially if I want future work and bigger projects. When you fail to even respond it is highly unprofessional. I will have to pay a different handyman to fix the issue now.

Josh and Curtis have been awesome! I had an upstairs shower that was installed by a handyman who, apparently, had no idea what he was doing. The shower pan - not the plumbing - developed a leak. Josh and Curtis gave me a reasonable estimate for a "best case scenario" for fixing the leak. As they opened up the shower, it was more like a "worst case." This might seem like a way to drive up the cost, but Curtis was great in explaining what he was seeing and it was plain to see that the incremental work was absolutely necessary. Both Curtis and Josh proposed ways to keep the total cost down but absolutely did not cut corners on the quality of work. The new shower subfloor and pan have three layers of RedGard waterproofing in addition to the rubber membrane. The new tile looks great and you can't even tell where the originally installed tile stops and the new tile starts. Curtis was on time, every day; he worked cleanly and was respectful of my home and family. Communication has been perfect and responsive throughout. Don't tell Josh, but when he comes to settle up on this bathroom project, I'm going to ask him to give me a bid on some kitchen work. These guys are my new go-to contractor! read more

Would rate between 4.25 to 4.5 stars, but don't want a 4 too heavily affecting their aggregate review so rounding up. First let me say we're REALLY happy with the final product. This was our second experience with doing updates to this home and at this point we think it's probably normal to expect that the job will take longer than they said it would (in this case significantly longer) and there's the potential for them to book jobs too closely together (I.e. during the first two weeks the main guy working did half days or wasn't here a couple times because of wrapping up another project). Foreman also wasn't here as frequently as we would have liked and that may have kept our project more in line with the projected timeline. With that being said like I mentioned previously we're VERY happy with the final product and they worked with us to address any concerns we had with certain things and Nathan (foreman) went above and beyond when it came to addressing anything we found with the "blue tape walkthrough". Very fast service, I actually spoke to the owner and not a machine. Josh knew the trouble I was having and how quickly I needed it fixed, after I fell through the ceiling while in the attic. He came out within 30 minutes and quoted a fair price. The next day Curtis came out and was very professional and courteous and I advised him that I needed the hole I made in the ceiling fixed. He assessed the damage and got right to work, he then found another problem that needed immediate attention with water leaking in the attic through solar panel anchor points. I will recommend to anyone who needs anything done in or around their home. Great job. read more

I hired an ethernet cable installation company with a 5 star YELP rating that was terrible. They…read moredid a lot of damage to my property including breaching my home's vapor barrier. That allowed humidity into the walls and caused mold and paint blistering around my front entry door. I turned again to YELP to locate a company to remediate the results and find the cause or source of the problem. Alan's Restoration had the highest number of 5-star reviews so I took a chance and contacted them - now wary of the highly rated YELP reviews. Turns out this outfit is worth their 5-stars - and then some. EXCELLENT customer service including accurate and frequent communication, fast response, quick turnaround, friendly people and most important - when a substantial problem (that they did not create) developed during the project - they came back after completion and corrected it the next day. And I'm sure it was probably at their expense. Not many companies like this around anymore. I know that for sure from nearly 70 years of experience with 50 in project management. It's a real crap shoot these days when contracting with anyone on YELP or pretty much anywhere else, as I unfortunately found out with that cable company that caused this entire problem. Each individual sub contractor that was sent out to the house were absolutely the most friendly, respectful, punctual and skilled artisans in their craft. The electricians were super sweet and always punctual and efficient with their time. The painters were so nice and friendly and incredibly hard workers. They showed up early and literally worked non stop all day each day that they came. Pablo, the head carpenter and all of his guys were so talented and really worked hard to produce their best work! I'll admit I'm a very detailed oriented person to a fault and they really managed to exceed our expectations!! Texas Greatest Remodelers were VERY SMARTLY PRICED compared to the others. and what they offered was the best of the four. 1) friendly project manager "MO" arrived ON-time measured my driveway and came up with a price right then and there. he explained what his company offers. No paying until work done and i'm satisfied. "mo" kept in phone/text contact with me the whole way and was present when work started and in/out throughout. i was invited to observe while men were completing work. 2) fair estimate with no surprises and no moving the goal posts, followed by contract. The contract made things EASY for my HOA as i sent the paper to them and they approved within days. 3) best quality. the other companies offered 3k to 3.5k psi concrete. TGR gave me 4.5K psi. Prompt service without compromising quality. Rain was in forecast and "mo" explained that rain may delay installation to ensure best results. it didn't rain afterall and the job proceeded on schedule! 4) I was thrilled with the beautiful job. so beautiful and no more big bumps and ugly cracks. Problem one my sprinkler heads had been damaged during work. MO investigated and promptly it was repaired. 5) 5 year warranty on work was sent to my email that is transferrable to the next owner of the home should i move. any remodeling, i will use this company
