So very welcoming, until they drain you for all they can get out of you. The First Red Flag is the question "How's your credit rating?" Please ask to be presented with the facts...in writing. Both financial and procedural...up front, with plenty of time to review, and under no pressure. The Second Red Flag is signing documents under pressure/duress, especially at the time (or just before) an appointment. You're in a stressful situation, maybe even in pain, and should never sign anything under these circumstances. Anyone asking this of you, is taking advantage of you in this particular situation. The Third Red Flag is the refusal of the Dr. to discuss your personal situation with you, or to allow you to communicate directly with him. Unacceptable! Finally, look at the reviews, and specifically the dates of them. You will find that most of the good ones are from years ago. I have dental insurance, which they told me they accept, but supposedly only one of the dentists there takes it? Anyway, they seem to have a lot of pride in being the "best" and having the highest quality everything...NEWSFLASH, ya ain't different. And if they think they can get by with charging what they do???? Like okay, I get you think you're cool because you're located in the next up-and-coming borough of NYC, but you're not located on Fifth Avenue and 86th Street, so calm yourself, it's BENSONHURST. Mind you, like I mentioned before, there are payment and insurance issues. Dr. Alex only does root canals and his son, Dr. Daniel does the rest, but here's the catch: Only the root canal is covered by insurance, the rest they expect you to pay out of pocket, which you can probably overhear them talking about in the other room at some point during your visit. Their scrubs should be bright orange, because they're nothing but criminals trying to suck every nickel and dime out of your wallet. I have been looking for an amazing cosmetic dentist for the past three years. I have been a loyal patient for over 6 years. It seems lately they have dropped the ball and no longer care about their patients. First, I tried many times to schedule my routine visit, nobody got back to me. Typically they would reach out for this appointment. Recently I had an emergency, I called them when my crown fell off (that they put in) - after repeating to me 10 times that I have not been in their office for a year (the COVID year), that hey failed to schedule, they finally offer me an appointment in 9-days, like a punishment for my lack of loyalty. The exact words relayed by the dentist via the receptionist "since you have not been here in a year the soonest the doctor will see you is in 9-days." It was never like this before. Maybe it's the COVID? Since being forced to find another dentist, my new dentist pointed out all the shoddy work this group did. I was very anxious and nervous prior to seeing Dr. Rubinshtein, I had bad experiences in the past with dentists. I've had fillings done in the past and I knew something wasn't right because of the pain and discoloration. But with Dr. Rubinshtein, he is a perfectionist, cares extremely about his work and patients. He did an amazing job with replacing my filling, it looks 100% natural. He waited for a while to make sure I was numb and didn't feel anything. They gave me a neck pillow and cream for my lips. His assistant Lexy was so comforting and nice and made me feel relaxed.
