I get here and the open sign is on, so I walk up to the door and pull on it but it's locked. So I look down and see a "closed, please come again." I go back to my car and call to see why. "I had to make an emergency run, I should be back in about 15 minutes, does that work?" I said, "I guess it's going to have to, but I did call and say I was going to be here so it's a little ridiculous that you're not here." He says, "I left a sign, I should be back at 3, did you see my closed sign?" To which I responded with, "no, as your open sign is lit." He says, "no no no, the sign below it that says I'll be back at 3:00." I'm not going to sit here and argue over professionalism, so I stated "I will be going elsewhere. This is ridiculous that your open sign is lit, you knew you'd have a potential customer, and you're incredibly unprofessional." Why would I want to pay someone who can't even switch off the open sign if it was actually an emergency run? Thanks for wasting my gas and my time.

I bought my wedding gown at the…read moreFilene's Basement Bridal Sale and Debbie did the rest -- she did my alterations, created a french bustle, created a custom-made veil and helped my mom with her Mother of the Bride ensemble. It took her about 6 weeks to complete the job and it all turned out perfect. The dress needed to be taken in in the front and back -- from size 12 down to 8/10 -- and hemmed. She also did a french bustle and showed my mom and bridesmaid how to pin it properly. She also steamed it and packed it so it was ready to go the day I needed to take it home. The veil Debbie made for me was ivory tulle with some beading and sequins -- she made it by hand and it was beautiful. It looked great with the dress. Not only is Debbie's work excellent, but her prices are affordable. She LOVES doing bridal work and used to do alterations for David's Bridal in Bakersfield. All of her work is through word of mouth, so please call ahead of time and tell her Brooke sent you to her, or she may be hesitant to work with you. She does do other alterations such as uniforms, jeans, etc. but her true passion is bridal. N.B. -- don't judge a book by it's cover. The location may not be ideal, but you will not be disappointed with her work.

As a pastor, I wear suits multiple times every week and regularly purchase dress clothing. Unfortunately, no one in the store greeted me, offered assistance, or even acknowledged me while I was shopping. I felt completely overlooked. The female employees appeared uninterested, moved very slowly, and came across as unfriendly. It honestly felt like I was being judged based on my appearance rather than treated like a customer. To make matters worse, after purchasing a suit jacket, it was simply folded up and placed in a bag rather than being put on a hanger and in a garment bag. For a store that specializes in men's formalwear, I expected better care for the merchandise I was purchasing. A customer's appearance shouldn't determine the level of service they receive. Some of your best customers may walk in dressed casually after work, the gym, or yard work. Everyone deserves to be treated with courtesy and professionalism. Overall, a very disappointing experience. I purchased what I came for, but the lack of customer service and attention to detail makes me think twice about returning.
