Even though this was my very first bridal appointment and I wasn't ready to say yes just yet, I could not stop thinking about one of the dresses I tried on here. I went to a second appointment at a different boutique afterward and had a terrible experience. None of the dresses compared to the one I tried on at White Dress, and it really highlighted how special my experience here was. The entire staff was so kind and genuinely made me feel celebrated. They even gave me a bride bag with several thoughtful items at the start of my appointment, which was such a nice touch. I had other bridal appointments later in the day, but I cancelled them because I found my dress at Miss Ruby. I felt that they had a good collection, understood my vision well, and had fair prices. I am really glad I came here. One thing that could have been clarified, when you purchase a dress and you do not use credit card you cannot pick it up immediately. Supposedly this is an industry standard, but not something we were told when we put it on hold. We were purchasing a sample dress and were concerned about waiting for a dress we had purchased, so we had to go to multiple ATMs to get cash (not easy to do without flagging your card).

I went to Evermore Bridal for my wedding gown back in mid-April 2 weeks after I got engaged, and…read morepurchased my dress the same day. I was told that because my dress was a brand new style that it would be in by the end of May/beginning of June. My dress didn't come until the end of July- so that was the first issue. I didn't make a stink about it because at least it arrived before the wedding. However, I was also advised that the 12 I tried on in the store (pictured is me wearing the size 12) "was way too tight" and that I needed to be measured to see what size would be appropriate. Against my own instincts I obliged, as I thought the professionals knew what they were doing. They sized me and told me to go with a 16, so that's what we did. When I finally got my dress over a month after I was told it would come in I took it into my seamstress right away. The seamstress immediately asked me how much weight I had lost since trying on and ordering the dress. Much to her surprise, I hadn't actually lost ANY weight at all. The seamstress then went on to tell me I was going to need to have my dress taken in 2 full sizes, all the way back down to a 12. So I'm basically having to pay for an entire new dress because the seamstress is going to have to take apart and reconstruct the dress. I contacted the manager of Evermore to give her a chance to remedy this issue prior to writing a bad review because I hate leaving bad reviews. However this situation is inexcusable and her unwillingness to do ANYTHING to make it right makes me sick- zero compassion or empathy for a bride who has to spend $1500 on alterations because of a mistake her employee made. My only other thought is that they intentionally tell their brides to order the wrong size so they have to spend money at the alterations shop that they partner with- because I was specifically asked if I'd be using their partner for alterations prior to deciding on and ordering my dress. The manager basically wrote me off and told me that I signed a contract when I took the dress home and that I should have tried it on before I left the store and there's nothing she can do for me (I live 5 hours away and needed to get going). I was apparently a fool to trust the "professionals". What a shame.

I had a terrible experience here that required me to find a new wedding dress within three weeks of…read moremy wedding. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. I went into White Off the Rack with photos of a dress that I fell in love with at another store. They said they could order me a new dress in that style and I said yes. When the dress arrived and I went to try it on and pick it up, it was HUGE. I could take handfuls of lace on the sides that would need to be removed. I expressed concern to the stylist about how large it was and she said "alterations can work wonders and will be able to fix it." I trusted her and took the dress home. I went to alterations and spent $1,000 on just alterations trying to get it to fit. At the end of all of this, the integrity of the dress was ruined because alterations couldn't get it to the correct size. I ended up going to the original store that I found my dress at and they sold me a sample so I would have something to wear on my wedding day. I wrote to White Off The Rack and described my horrible scenario that I went through at the store. The owner called me and said "I wish you would have said something before alterations because we could have taken the dress back." I did say when I picked up the dress that I was not happy and it was huge. They said to get alterations done anyways! Honestly I feel like I was duped. I spend $3,000 total on this dress that I can't wear and the only thing that the owner suggested is that I try to resell it. I told them that I was not happy with the fit and they told me to get alterations done. Once alterations are done they can't take it back. I do not recommend this store to anyone. I spend $2,000 on the gown and $1,000 on alterations and they are not compensating me at all. They should have agreed that the size was too big when I did my try on and not told me to get alterations. I feel that was their way out so they could wash their hands of me and say I altered the dress so they can't take it back.
