Called Saturday morning and asked to come in to find something last minute for our wedding we are quickly throwing together this Saturday now since my daughter was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and they were amazing. Let me come in as soon as I could, stayed within my budget for a last minute dress, spoke to the tailor next door (Rebecca) and was able to find me the perfect dress my daughter loves and make sure alterations are done on time! Went in Saturday and found the dress, did alterations on Monday and am picking the dress up today (Wednesday). Niveah was one of my consultants that picked the perfect dress for me to try on and prayed with me over my babygirl before we left. I will never be able to thank them enough for making this a dream come true for my baby and us to be able to have this day with her. Thank you guys so much. I went to Savvy after my appointment at David's Bridal. I did not have an appointment and showed up 30min before closing with 2 specific dresses in mind I wanted to just see in person. I was not expecting to actually get a dressing room and a full-service experience. They were so polite, excited, and helpful! She pulled extra dresses for me to try and helped me through the entire process. I was so pleased and even found my "yes" dress! I was NOT expecting to love it and walk out of there with a purchase, but I did! I can't wait to go back and now I'm thinking of other things I can purchase from there as well. We had Kate officiate our ceremony, for day of coordination, and take down services. Saying Kate was AMAZING is a complete understatement. I can't count how many people absolutely raved about how sweet and helpful she was. She truly had wedding "spidey senses" and just knew when someone needed something. She was there within seconds asking what she could do to help. Working with Kate was an absolute dream. I felt supported and comfortable trusting her to set up all wedding decorations the morning of. I was able to relax and enjoy being pampered knowing my wedding was in amazing hands. I even had my venue's coordinator get Covid the day before and cancel, however I didn't have an ounce of worry knowing I had Kate for the day. She wrote a beautiful ceremony and took the time to get to know my husband and I to make it absolutely perfect. I truly can't say enough how much I enjoyed working with her. I was fitted with a size 40 jacket for my son's wedding. Tux had been picked up by a groomsman and the jacket vest and pants were fine, but they included with it a XL 5 shirt which was grossly oversized. Fortunately, one of the groomsmen had an extra shirt that worked by tight. Also, I was never measured for shoes and the pair that was sent did not fit. Upon returning the suit, I complained and was told that I would receive a call from the owner. Nearly week has gone by and I have not heard back. read more

I truly cannot express how amazing Lisa and her team is at A Savvy Bride!!! First of all, the store is super cute and filled with lots of sparkly things :) It made me feel like I was a princess. I had initially scheduled an appointment with Lisa (not knowing she was the store owner), and she made me feel welcomed and excited for me. I tried on several dresses but none of them felt like "the one." I had taken a photo of a dress I was in love with from another store but refused to purchase it from that store due to the worst customer service ever. So Lisa took on the challenge of finding that dress for me. She and her team made countless phone calls and research over the next few days; sadly, this dress was completely out of stock and a new one would not be available until after my wedding date. (I ended up purchasing a dress online from a shop in New Jersey.) The time she spent and the lengths she went to in attempt to find me that dress was incredible. This was one of the most humiliating and unprofessional retail experiences I have ever encountered. Lisa, the owner, fat shamed and criticized my body, instead of taking responsibility for a measuring error. The experience I had with Lisa and Savvy Bride completely ruined any joy I had around my friend's wedding. I am now dreading having to put on my dress and have been made to feel as though I am the black sheep of the wedding party because I am not a size 4. News flash, if you are working in an industry that deals with women and clothing, never make your customer feel as though they need to change their body to fit the garment. I wish i had heard about this place when i got married! It advertises itself as a "one stop bridal shop" and it really is. There is a wide variety of wedding gowns, bridesmaids dresses, tux rentals, mother of the bride dresses, unity candles, signature plates, garters, toasting flutes, favors, anything really. I'm standing up in a friend's wedding and ordered my dress through savvy bride. The dress fit perfectly though the body. Cups a little big, but that's normal for wedding dresses. I think they would have pushed a bigger size but luckily i have not changed size since my own wedding and knew what my perfect size was. I am 5'9" which is their boarder for extended length. They said to go for it for the extra $20 but we ended up cutting off 2-3" when we hemmed it (it was floor length). If you are 5'9" i would not add extra length if they suggest it. My husband is also standing up on the groom's side. The wedding is tomorrow and the tuxes just came in yesterday. He went for his fitting and the jacket was too small. We're heading there to pick up the newly ordered size they shipped in today. We are also picking up two other groomsmen's pants or other parts of the suit. I understand people change sizes, measurements vary by brand, and there can be variance in even the person measuring. However, my husband was measured at this location, and the suits coming in this late is unacceptable. We need to be two hours north of here by 5 for the rehearsaland weren't called for the shipment coming in until 1:00. It takes a while to get there too as it is not really a convenient location but we are the only ones who live in Milwaukee other than the bride and groom. The suit arriving so late also put us in traffic and we're really pushing the time. I had a good experience as a bridesmaid, but ordering tuxes through here is kinda ridiculous. I can't believe they don't arrive until the day they are needed leaving almost no time for mistakes in measurements seriously putting out of town travel in jeopardy. As a bride, the deal you get for ordering tuxes through here is awesome ($25 back on each bridesmaids dress if rented here) but i would be wary if your wedding is outside of the Milwaukee area. It is also a little pricey. My dress was $250 and my husband's tux rental was $173. My wedding last year had $75 tux rental from sears and $185 dresses (which this same bride complained about when it was her buying the dress, that she picked, might i add). Just consider that when deciding what your wedding party will be spending on your wedding. read more

I'm so glad I got my dress from Savvy Bride! Kate and her team were so easy to work with and really made me feel special throughout our time together. The salon is super cute and they have a really great selection of beautiful dresses under $1,000. I was a little nervous about taking ten ladies to try on dresses, but the private appointment was perfect! I'd definitely recommend setting up the private appointment - everyone had a nice time sipping champagne and having treats while I tried on dresses. We decided to customize the dress - change the color, add straps and buttons etc. and Kate was quick with the drawing and kept me in the loop around timing. I enjoyed working with the girls at Savvy Bride. Kate was very responsive to emails when I had questions on when my gown would be in and following-up on appointments. I purchased my gown and two veils through them. My veils were attached and I had asked for them to be velcroed so we could un-attach the extra long cathedral veil. They came sewn together, but Kate fixed it for me as soon as I brought it up. We had fun and I tried on dresses even after I thought I had found "the one" and wanted to be sure. After weeks of trying on dresses at other bridal shops and not finding anything that I truly loved, I walked into A Savvy Bride with my mom and met some absolutely wonderful people. Not only were they all kind, patient, and just all around wonderful and genuine people to work with, but they have an undeniable talent for bringing any sort of vision you have to fruition. Kate and another woman (I'm sorry, I can't remember her name!) spent nearly three hours with me the first time I walked in. We tried on different dresses and discussed all of the options and possibilities for a custom dress. Starting out in this process, I had no idea what I wanted in a dress. Kate and her team completely came through and helped guide me towards my absolute dream dress. When I tried it on last week for the first time (which by the way arrived ON TIME in the midst of a global pandemic*), I couldn't have been more thrilled! It is everything I wanted and more. I didn't want to take it off! It's exactly what we had talked about. Kate was able to understand my vision entirely. They completely delivered on every aspect of my custom dress. They made the entire process so simple for me. They were able to take two dresses that I liked for different reasons, combine them into one dress in a sketch for me to visualize (several sketches, actually, to get it exactly how I envisioned it!), and bring to life a dress that deep down I knew I always wanted/needed* ;). No other business/bridal shop that I went to (and there were about 7-10 others that I went to prior including Miss Ruby's Boutique that someone wrote about here as being a better place to go -- which in my opinion was absolutely not. They were insanely cookie cutter and not that genuine or patient) were able to provide this level of service and experience for me. The price of the dress was incredibly reasonable considering they customized it to what I wanted. It actually cost me less money than the majority of non-custom dresses I had tried on in other stores. Overall, Kate and everyone who helped me from this wonderful small business made such a difference in this experience for me. I can say that as one of the millions of brides who is having to not only navigate life through this pandemic but also plan a wedding in the midst and chaos of it all as well, deciding to go to A Savvy Bride was by far the best decision I've made thus far. I really loved Savvy Bride! They have a great selection of dresses and the staff is very friendly. I went here with a bridal party for my friends wedding. They immediately put us upstairs by ourselves and we had out own changing room. That was especially nice because we are coming in and out constantly. It was great to have somewhere secure to hold our stuff. There was pretty much a dress in every color you would want. Plus if you wanted it a different color, most dresses they could be dyed to your choice! I really like how the atmosphere is just so friendly and helpful. Especially for such a happy occasion we were shopping for! One thing to remember is the place is a little hidden. It's basically in a small shopping "village". Very cute! read more

I went to Savvy yesterday to try on wedding dresses. I had been to a few shops before this one and still had not found my dress. The store is very cozy along with the little area that all the shops are in. I loved the look of it. Very clean and well organized. Their selection could have been a bit bigger, however there are definitely enough to try on of many different styles. I am only looking for a blush or champagne colored dress and they had a good handfull for me to choose from. The consultant (I wish I could remember her name) was VERY friendly. This shop was by far my favorite in the customer service area. She was not pushy AT ALL and made me feel super comfortable. She picked great dresses for me to try, but also let me pick ones that I liked. She was patient and sweet. She even made sure to fluff my dress for every picture that my mom wanted to take of each dress that I liked. Even though I did not end up purchasing a dress from them (yet?)-I am extremely indecisive, it is still my favorite shop that I've been to and has the top two dresses that I've tried on so far. read more

This was the second bridal shop I had gone to while looking for my dress. I was a little anxious going into the appointment, since the first place I went, wasn't a good experience at all! Walking in the door it was a little overwhelming, since there was a lot of guests waiting to be helped. But even with that, we were greeted promptly! After I filled out a form, Nancy came to meet me. She made me feel extremely comfortable! I loved that she listened to my ideas, gave me ideas, and when I tried on dresses that I loved certain parts of but not others she informed me that the designers could customize specific areas I wanted to change. The dresses were beautiful, but for me, it was the level of service and how comfortable I was made to feel by Nancy! So I really hope Savvy relays this review to her, because she is what made my experience great!! read more

I've been a groomsman in two weddings here in 3 years. The first one shoes were screwed up but fixed quickly. The second my pants were very short so I didn't even pay attention to anything else. During pictures the photographer noticed a small amount of blood on my white shirt then noticed a lot more under my collar. When we told Savvy they apologized but didn't do anything for me or the bride. FYI I don't shave with a razor and wasn't bleeding.. I have a beard. So essentially I paid $190 for a bloody tux... I could have bought a suit at Macy's in the same quality without the blood for that. They could have at least reimbursed me or refunded me for the shirt as there was a lot of blood. read more

There are multiple reasons I will not recommend Savvy Bride and will not be going back. I emailed the shop even before making my appointment asking if they had specific dress colors of a designer for my bridesmaids to try on. A worker Dacia told me that yes, they had those colors in the store of full dresses and multiple similar colors. However when we showed up, they had NONE of the colors they said they had and no similar colors. They blatantly lied to get us in the store and no one ever apologized. During our appointment, the lady helping my bridesmaids didn't even bother to help the girls clip their dresses, leaving my sister to do it and she only pulled one dress she thought we would like. She acted like she could have cared less. Lastly, the store is not handicap accessible and we had to drag my nephews stroller up a narrow passage to get to the fitting area. Would have been nice to know prior to the appointment the lack of accessibility. We saw another wedding party with a girl with crutches limb up the stairs. Overall, it was very disappointing, especially given they have a fair amount of inventory and are close to many of my bridesmaids. Given I am an out of town bride, I am very upset that I wasted my time here and was lied to about their inventory and dress colors. Terrible. read more

I don't know how the reviews are so awful, BUT they were posted about 4-6 years ago and they obviously updated their employees because my experience was FANTASTIC! You don't pick your own dresses, they find one for you based on what you tell them- and the first one I tried on was the ONE! I tried on maybe 5 or 6 more but kept going back to the first one! They were all gorgeous though! I had Nancy and she did a great job at picking what I wanted and saw myself in! She explained everything to me and made sure I left knowing what I would have done to it and how long it would take and the best time frame! I had an appointment at David's Bridal later that night and I didn't even want to go! I didn't like anything that I saw on the rack and nothing made me feel like the gown at Savvy Bride's did. The service here is TERRIBLE. I wouldn't order anything from here again if my life depended on it, all the reviews that say otherwise must have been written by the consultants employed here. I didn't get any notification when the dress I ordered was in, and they never answer their phone so you can't make an appointment to pick your dress up or ask details about shipping it to your house. I finally just had to email an email address I found on their website asking for them to ship me my dress since it was clear I was never going to get to speak to an actual person. I'm not sure if the service was bad because it was towards the end of the day, or that's the experience they always offer. I scheduled an appointment two weeks in advance and all they had available was 3 o'clock in the afternoon. This was completely fine, I had no issues with the time, and they did actually call as the date neared to confirm. I walked in on time for my appointment, to no greeting or acknowledgment. I walked straight up to the desk, so it was not like I was looking around the store, where they may not have seen me. Three women were at the desk, and finally when there was a lull in their conversation, one of them asked what I needed. One of the issues was that all the bridal dresses were upstairs and they did not have an elevator or accessible means to get up there. My sister is in a wheelchair, and obviously I wanted her to see me in the dresses and get her opinion. They do have fitting rooms downstairs for the bridesmaid dresses, so they said I could bring the dresses down and try them on there, which obviously annoyed the consultant because from there they rest of the experience was awful. My mom, my other sister, and I grabbed several dresses and brought them downstairs. Although the consultant took the dresses off the hanger, she just handed them to me, left the room as I put them on and zipped them myself! The consultant never asked me what I was looking for, or what my opinions were after I tried on the dress. She literally maybe said three words to me the entire time. After about 5 dresses, I was over the appointment. I felt so disrespected and annoyed that she didn't even care to help me. Asking to try on a belt with the dress or add a veil was like I was asking for a million dollars. I could not help but get the feeling that I was an inconvenience to them. The whole experience left me sick to my stomach. I will not be returning to this place, nor recommend it to anyone. read more

I called ahead to book an appointment and while on the phone, explained that I would be bringing in one of my bridesmaids (my little sister) in to get measured for a bridesmaid dress. I explained that I have girls located all over the state and that we would not be ordering dresses during the appointment but wanted to look at accessories to purchase. The day of, I called to let them know I would be a few minutes late to my appointment and by the time I got there, I walked in to see my sister pulling a card out of her purse as the saleswoman was trying to force her to put down a deposit. I asked if my sister had even tried the dress on, and she DIDN'T!! The saleswoman hadn't even allowed her to try on the dress before she pushed her to purchase. I asked if she could try on the dress and the lady (clearly frustrated by the fact that I was not allowing her to purchase the dress immediately) stated that she MAY have the sample dress but she would have to check. (I called 2 weeks ahead to ensure that they would have the proper dress). Once she found the dress, she literally threw the dress into a fitting room, said "the fitting room is there" and walked away. We did not see her again. She didn't help to answer questions. She didn't help us with any accessories. She didn't say goodbye or anything. I was absolutely mortified. My sister who was previously so excited as she has never been in a wedding before was nearly in tears. It was quite possibly the worst customer service I've ever experienced. read more

I also had a great experience here, as a friend of the bride-to-be. Both the service and dress selection were superior. She had gone shopping at a number of different stores, across a number of different price points. She had a collection of photos of potential dresses on her phone. Although I had not seen any other ones in person, she found not one but three dresses at Savvy Bride that topped the list. The selection here was great, from traditional, to modern, to classically romantic. The consultant that was helping our group was also fantastic. She was knowledgeable, cheery, and not pushy at all, which is appreciated. She really knew the dresses...not just the basics, but she could explain why certain dresses fit certain ways, or were designed for each body type, etc. I really felt like she had both the knowledge and drive to help my friend find the perfect dress for her body and her tastes. The store itself is also very cute, with 2 levels of charming decor, a variety of displays and accessories, and an excellent staff to go with. I'm surprised with the last couple of reviews, because honestly, I couldn't disagree more. My mom and I did not have an appointment because we decided on a whim to stop in and just look around. We walked in and were greeted immediately. They told us to go upstairs where the dresses were and look around. While we were looking around, a consultant (Jenni) greeted us, even though she was the only one up there and already working with another client. She told us that she didn't have an appointment right after us and if we saw dresses we liked, to put them in a room. She was so sweet, friendly and accommodating even though we didn't have an appointment. The selection was HUGE and you can tell that they keep very good care of their sample dresses. They also have a sample sale rack with a lot of great dresses. After Jenni was done with her client, she helped out my mom and I. She wasn't overly pushy and in your face. She was around enough to be extremely helpful, but not too much where you're feeling pressured. I actually found a dress that I'm 99% sure is the one. But I was not ready to buy quite yet. Jenni was sooo wonderful and did not pressure me into buying. She told me that they do not work on commission for that reason. They don't want to be pushy. Jenni filled out 2 cards where she wrote down a few styles that I liked. She gave one to me and kept the other on file. She told me that if any dress in the salon were to become discontinued, that the staff would go through thousands of clients' cards to see if any client had written down that certain bridal gown. They would contact you a couple of weeks in advance to the dress discontinuing to see if you wanted to try that dress on again. How awesome is that?!?! I will DEFINITELY be back to Savvy Bride and will most likely be purchasing my dress there. Couldn't be happier with my experience!!!! :) read more

Well I had a similar experience as someone else who wrote an awful review on this place. I would NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE. I also am not the type up reviews either, but this experience was god awful. I received my bridesmaids dress from here because the bride got her dress from there.... Well they took all of our measurements. Turns out they screwed up every bridesmaids dress. I received my dress, once i tried it on, it was HUGE in the bust (which is shocking since i have a huge bust myself), and the length was too long (i expected that much). I took my dress to the seamstress that my family uses. Once she had me try on the dress, she told me this will be an extremely difficult alteration due to the lace on this dress in the bust area. They had to tighten my shoulders as well as the bust. Well because of these complicated alterations due to the lace, my originally $215 dress is turning into nearly $400!!! I was the last bridesmaid to reach out to the bride because I was the last one to get my dress. Well the bride reached out to Savvy, and Savvy reached out to me and told me it was normal to have these alterations. First of all, when we were there trying on dresses they said alterations would not be too expensive. Another bridesmaids dress was a size 14 and had to get brought down to a size 8!!!! One, weight loss was not the factor as to why this dress was so large. It was because they sent in wrong measurements. Another bridesmaids dress wasn't even completed!!!!! They didn't even sew a whole side of the dress. Savvy told us all to order dresses that were way too big which is now causing ALL of us to have close to $200 dollars of work done which SHOULD HAVE not been the case. Another bridesmaid had to get her dress fixed, and her seamstress told her "we can fix it, it just doesn't fit you". Because of all of this now the bride is stressed because the dresses might not even look good on the day of the wedding. I personally got told by my seamstress that the lace on my dress still won't look perfect. I WILL REPEAT, DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS. Probably would've had better luck at David's Bridal... I had a wonderful experience at Savvy Bride. The store and staff are very casual but polite. They seem to pride themselves on being open and honest about the designers they carry, their pricing, and not being snooty. The area to pull dresses is a little on the small side, so I would recommend going on a weekday to avoid any crowding. The upstairs has dressing rooms to put gowns on and then a large room for your family to gather comfortably. The staff were very helpful when it came to accessorizing gowns. They have a nice collection of jewelry, veil/headpieces, shoes, and belts that let brides personalize any dress. The store has a large, diverse selection of bridal and bridesmaids dresses. Honestly, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Everything they ordered was wrong and there was a severe lack of expertise from most of the staff. Most of my basic questions on arrival, styles, and price couldn't be answered. Once my "order" came in, it was something completely different than I had ordered and it didn't even fit. They told me to go to a professional tailor to get it fixed. Overall, I really wish I had gone somewhere else. read more

The staff at Go Savvy Bridal did an amazing job. I went shopping with my mom, sister, matron of honor, and cousin (bridesmaid); they did an incredible job making us feel welcome. After going through several dresses, the consultant started to see my style, and asked if she could pull out one more. The dress was amazing; everyone loved it! One of the things I really wanted on my dress was a corset and they placed the custom order with Casablanca. Oh, and my dress came in earlier than expected!! read more

I was stuck buying an overpriced bridesmaids dress from this place. When I got it, the breasts were totally uneven. It was ridiculous. I had one big pointy boob and one flat one. They said that they would fix it and actually fixed the wrong one and made it worse (made the flat one flatter). It was so horrible, the tailor just ripped everything out and did not even sew it back up the same. it was like an amateur did it. would never, ever go back. read more
