The owner, Redwin, stated that he couldn't buy my mom's hats because he prefers much older hats and he already has a 7,000 collection of hats (WOW!) which is fair, so I wasn't mad about it. Not every store can accept items to sell. I saw the store's hat collection and it's a LARGE collection. TOO MUCH INVENTORY (in my opinion) -- Everything is crammed in this store. I browsed around the store before I left and I was amazed as to how much inventory is in here. I even commented on the inventory and the owner stated that he has no real method of keeping track of everything which is a bit concerning. While the owner is really nice, the store is too packed with MANY items. The experience walking in feels a bit overwhelming especially because some parts of the store are not neat. It is even hard to walk through the store as some of the spaces between racks are tight. I'm sorry to say but this store looks like a junk yard with some very old and used items. MY PURCHASE -- I bought a white cotton hat plus earrings. The hat cost around $25 and the earrings were around $14. I realized later that these were slightly overpriced. When I got home, I noticed a stain on my hat and I also noticed that one piece of the earring is a bit flimsy (loose). I'll try to remove the stain off of my cotton hat but it looks pretty permanent which isn't ideal but it is a nice hat. The store sells clothing (tops, pants, jackets, dresses, sweaters), cups/mugs, hats, and other random things. Many items don't look new so I'm assuming some are used items. I prefer an organized store where the racks are not overflowing with items and where items aren't very old (some look like used items) so I probably won't be back. I'm not sure how many pieces they move in a day or a year but coming here a year after year after year I've noticed the same stuff sitting on the shelf with faded price tags dusty items just don't seem to move and when I do purchase something, which is rare, I noticed people in line are making very small purchases of small items like maybe a record or a couple pieces of glassware. I'm sure they move larger items every now and then but it seems like the same stuff in the same booth and display cases that never moves. There are plenty of malls out there where items are priced to sell and there's always fresh items to look at so I recommend looking around. If you're in the area, go ahead and stop, but don't have high expectations. If you live outside the area, I don't know that I would waste the time or the gas to visit this one.

I came prepared to spend time exploring this shop and making a few purchases. Now, the reason why I gave a 1 star review. Not sure who their target demographic is, but the impression I got from my first visit to this antique shop is that I am NOT that person. I was not welcomed when I came in. I figured she was busy. As I continued to explore the store, I overheard the shop keeper welcome and make small talk with every person who came in. (Of note they were older and white). After hearing this multiple times I put away what I was planning to buy (some old post cards and books) and left. I am very disappointed by my experience. Is it possible that this lady wasn't judging me? Sure! However, she gave me this impression and therefore I will never be visiting this establishment and will telling everyone I know not to do so as well. Antiquing is a passion of mine and knowing that there is a beautiful shop so close to where I live due to poor behavior, makes me sad. If you (look rich) and are white, congrats, you will receive red carpet treatment.
