I found out that it had been a year since my last one, so I called, left a message to have them schedule a new MRI. Took them a week to call me back to tell me they needed my other doctor to order it. They said once it is ordered, they would schedule me. They ordered it promptly. I called them to let them know it was ordered and was told someone would call me back. No one called for over a week, so I called again. About a week later I got a call saying they didn't think it was the proper MRI scheduled, so I made sure and it was. I called again and they said the scheduler would call me back. It has now been almost 3 weeks, so I called yesterday and the person on the phone said someone would call me for sure yesterday. No call. I am done. He might be a good doc, but his staff are not doing their job.

I am only 5 days out from having a…read moreL4/L5 laminectomy with fusion at UW Medicine Northwest Hospital where my care was excellent, & my perspective at this point seem to be consistent with expectations that I was told. I was discharged Wednesday with a prescription of OxyContin covering (Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday) running out midday Saturday. They told me that I needed to call for a refill if I was going to runout during the weekend. My Costco pharmacy is closed Sundays, so I called Thursday figuring Costco would receive the prescription Friday or Saturday. I waited until Saturday to call the pharmacy, & they had received an order for NALOXONE, but none for OxyContin. They said they often get prescriptions for NALOXONE with OxyContin, but that they didn't get a prescription for OxyContin. Dr. Lazar's office is closed on the weekend, so I can't call them until Monday morning after 9AM (& when I do call them) Costco probably won't be able to fill my prescription until late Monday/early Tuesday. So, I count my remaining number of tablets....14. My prescription was for 42 over 3 1/2 days, so I have enough for 15 hrs. I will be OUT tomorrow morning at 9AM. I have decided to cut my dosage in half, figuring that taking a little over 3 days is better than just stopping after 1 day. This is probably an over site on whomever entered the order, but it affects me more you might understand. 1/2 dose isn't nearly enough, now everything I do is with a lot of pain. I'm supposed to be walking around, but I'm very reluctant as everything I do is even more painful than when I was taking full dosage. This is the third time where something or someone from Dr. Lazar's office hasn't properly informed me correctly of something or whom hasn't followed through with making sure that a communication with my PCP and/or my insurance company. It took 3 weeks of me calling back & forth to my PCP's office & my insurance company before getting an authorization for surgery.....meanwhile I'm in pain waiting for a call. each time I had to initiate phone calls to try to figure out what happened.

I have been…read morepleased so far with the outcome of the surgery, but I have found the quality of post-operative care to be lacking. It is nearly impossible to through to the office for questions regarding post-surgical symptoms, so much so that I have had to go to my primary care provider when I experienced concerns with post-operative symptoms. The team will not return voice mails, and fails to offer clear guidance on post-operative protocols. I have been fortunate to have a strong care team through my primary care provider, sports medicine physician, and physical therapist, but I would be extremely reluctant to recommend this office. I have been fortunate only to have a few post-operative symptoms, but I would be extremely concerned for any patient having difficulty with their recovery to expect sufficient follow up care from this office. Please consider carefully.

The first few questions the doctor asked me were the marital status of my parents, where they live, and if I swim or skii. I don't understand why these questions are relevant for my personal health (ok maybe the last one, but that's oddly specific?) She also incorrectly assumed my ethnicity twice (why not just ask directly instead of assume?) Oh yeah, she WILL get personal about the details of your sex life and relationships. I get a feeling she isn't very culturally aware and should know how to ask some questions in a more respectful manner. I also ordered a blood test and I was told it's uncommon for Americans under 35 to get blood test for physicals, since doctors can't prescribe medications for blood test results anyways. That's simply not true - most Americans I know have done at least some type of blood tests before 35 plus it's always good to be proactive about your health. I found this opinion of hers unprofessional. Overall a very odd experience. The only good thing is the front desk lady was nice, but I probably won't come back and suggest finding somewhere else for your check-ups.

The incredibly rude nurse of Dr Olsen came out, claimed I'd had "numerous last-minute cancellations" (Technically 2 is "numerous" but the first time I was very sick and they told me not to come in and the second was when I'd just had a separate surgery on my hand and they didn't mind rescheduling it 6 weeks out. They also sent a mailed confirmation last week so not buying it.) and "Dr Olsen says to go back to [another clinic] and see the surgeons there to get re-evaluated." Which doesn't work for me since due to them I have defective hernia mesh and a bigger hernia than ever that is causing major health issues. If it weren't for her attitude I'd feel sorry for her since Dr Olsen was too much of a coward to come out and tell me himself. I have never come across truly despicable people like this in the medical industry and it's clear that they care more about patient volume than practicing medicine in an ethical way, let alone helping people in desperate need. Feral dogs are treated with more kindness. In summary: Avoid them like the plague. Because they ARE one.

I went in for my second visit, and it lasted less than 5 min. During the 5 min visit, he ended up changing his initial diagnosis of me having a corn to a bone spur after he left my toe bleeding when he tried to trim the affected area. My toe wouldn't stop bleeding, so his receptionist had his assistant to bandage my toe. He was rushed and condescending, all around a terrible visit. To make matters worse, I got billed $ 185.50 for trimming the skin lesion which my insurance doesn't cover. When I disputed the charge, they didn't get back to me as they say they would. Look for another doctor if you want a doctor who actually cares .

The system texted me some info to fill out, and she told me it would list me as being seen in about 25 minutes, but it would be much sooner. The PA came out within 60 seconds to say that they didn't house one piece of equipment I'd need as part of a full eval, and I should go around the corner to the ER. He definitely felt bad delivering this news, and explained it even more thoroughly than he really needed to. I got it right away. He was quick to say that they would cancel the visit and not charge me. Even though I ended up missing the whole game, he was spot-on about what the ER would do to evaluate the infection. I got great care there, thankfully much of it in front of a fuzzy, dim TV showing the game. So I can't really complain about anything other than my own procrastination for leaving the trip until late afternoon.

I was told that I "looked fine" and advised to continue using the same topical medication, despite my concerns. My visit was also incorrectly documented with appointment notes about whiplash, a condition I never reported or had. After following their guidance, my condition got significantly worse to the point I couldn't open my eye and had to seek care elsewhere. Another provider immediately told me to stop the medication and prescribed a different treatment that worked almost overnight. I formally contested both the care and the incorrect documentation, but their medical review team still determined that everything was "appropriate" and refused to adjust the charge. I will never go back and cannot recommend them.

The facility was clean and spacious. Overall, a good experience. Parking was easy, as there was a parking lot.
