Plus, it seemed like every time I told them nothing was helping they would encourage me to stick with it, or buy another thing from them or someone else. They told me it would take months to help my back- but they have no idea. Their main goal is to keep you coming in and paying them. Dr. Simms is the worst in this regard. Nice guy- just doesn't think about value for his patients. It was also like pulling teeth to get a defined list of exercises, I basically had to do it myself. They're no worse than other chiros, and I'm sure they help people, but not people with my problem. Wish I hadn't spent so much money finding this out. Now I'll try the medical route, no shortcuts.

It is the type of care that is related to previous physical health, such as injury physically and mentally. Dr. Colby has the knowledge of how to properly treat me, who's had sciatic pain, at a young age. He did nervous tests, x-rays, etc. With those tests, he discussed how I would be treated based on current conditions and how to stretch and exercise at home. My alignment improved over time. After those tests and initial adjustment, I got the best care from Dr. Colby! My sciatic pain has went down tremendously. He knew how to locate pain points. He is gentle and very precise with how he adjusts. No matter if he was over in Granite Bay, or the other location in El Dorado Hills, he made sure I didn't go out until I was in relief. He has a great saying "move it, shake it, don't break it." I was sentimental having to move across the country after the care Dr. Colby has given me for months on end. He was understanding and helped me find a chiropractor in my new hometown to be sure I was getting the same care I've been receiving. The chiropractor recommendation became a smooth transition. I owe it to Dr. Colby for his education and whit of knowing how to properly treat his patients. If you've been looking for a truly effective treatment for your back and neck pain, that keeps you stiff day and night, look nowhere else. When I expressed discomfort and asked to focus on subluxations and their physiological impacts, I was told to "respect his beliefs" and was encouraged to either discuss this further privately or seek care elsewhere. This response left me feeling unheard and dismissed as a patient. Additionally, the seminar I was required to attend included comments that I found unprofessional and inappropriate. For example, at the beginning of the seminar, Dr. C stated, "If you're looking for pain relief and a good night's sleep, you should just pop a Benadryl and go get yourself a bottle of alcohol because I'm not here just to give you a quick pop and some pain relief." While I understand the analogy, I felt it was poorly timed and set an unprofessional tone for the seminar. Following the seminar, I was placed into an individual room, where I waited for about 10 to 15 minutes without anyone coming in. This lack of attention, especially after a long day at work, added to my frustration. I arrived at 5 PM, sat through an hour-long seminar until 6 PM, and then waited without receiving the care I came for. I also want to address a concern from the prior week: despite having paid for three chiropractic adjustments, I only received two. One of the adjustments was supposed to be included with the consultation and seminar I attended, but I did not receive it. This discrepancy left me feeling dissatisfied with the scheduling and communication regarding services. Furthermore, during my previous two appointments, the doctor was consistently late by 5 to 10 minutes despite my appointments being scheduled for specific times. I can honestly say Dr. Lynne is exceptionally gifted, compassionate, and kind. I was recently challenged by a debilitating muscle spasm. It was affecting my quality of life, sleep, and functioning and no amount of stretches, exercise, supplements, magnesium, tumeric, or anything else that I tried was reducing the severity. A few times it was so bad in the past few weeks that I was in bed in a fetal position unable to move. I was getting so worn down from the pain that I couldn't think straight.
