I know pretty much nothing about prepping, etc., but whenever I have a question, I get really helpful and not condescending answers. I should mention too that I love Benjamin Moore paint. We've used Natura before and it was great (zero VOC!) and we just painted our kitchen with Aura -- also superb. It coats extremely well. Now we're working on the exterior of our house, and the Low Lustre exterior paint has been great too. Forrest did a custom color match to our existing front porch paint and it was perfect. Woo! He has often informed me of new products and sundries available that I wasn't aware of. The store is clean and welcoming, and his assistant, Heather, is great too. Forrest almost always has his dog with him at the store, she's a friendly rescued Greyhound. I have never had a bad paint mix from them (I am a regular customer) And it's a lifesaver for me that they carry samples in just about all of the Ben Moore colors. Some places that carry Ben Moore only have the limited palette of factory produced sample sizes, but Forest supplements those with the remaining colors. It's such a great feature. I'm so happy they are around and centrally located. P.S. Thursday is "donut Thursdays"

I noticed the 10/25 year warranty on the deck paint can, which said to take it to the place you bought it. Summit labels with my name and date were on the cans. So I called Summit with all the information and talked to Roberto. He said bring the cans to the store and he would take care of me. I drove down and met Roberto who said that he is managing the place now. I showed him the cans with summit labels with my name and dates and photos of the peeling deck. He refused to talk about the warranty. He just wanted to sell me more deck paint saying that I should try an oil based paint. Frustrating experience. A real change from the previous owner and his wife. Wasted an hour and gas.
